My friend ordered the Beef Kabob (New York) plate with rice and salad, and it was fantastic. Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I even "borrowed" a chunk of beef from my friend for a taste test--no regrets. It was spot on. The Gyro sandwich was another big winner. It was loaded with meat--honestly, the amount you'd normally have to ask for double meat at other places. The meat had a nice crispy edge, and the lamb was seasoned perfectly. So good. The owner was a one-man show, hustling hard during a busy lunch rush, juggling takeout orders like a pro. Despite being slammed, he was incredibly kind and made sure everyone was taken care of. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. I also loved the unassuming storefront and the décor inside--lots of pride shown for our country and local law enforcement, with flags and service patches displayed throughout. It gave the place real character. Yes, we had to wait--but it was absolutely worth it. I can see exactly why this spot has such a strong Yelp rating. Bonus points for the solid daily specials too.
