We got two different combo plates and all the meats were tasty. I think my personal favorite was the beef kabob. The salad was basic, but tasty and the rice had good taste as well. My only complaint was I think they forgot to give us bread. Wasn't a huge deal-breaker, but I would have liked to have tried it. They serve some garlic butter sauce on the side which is amazing. Service - This place seemed more like a deli where you go up to the counter and order, then they drop off your food. The service was fine, but there wasn't a lot to evaluate here. The ladies working were nice. Ambience- It's a really nice looking place inside. It's a little darker inside for the hookah vibe, but it's decorated nicely. The music is a little clubby, but it didn't really bother us. You can eat separately from the hookah area so if you're concerned with smoke there's a smoke-free spot for you. Overall, I'd give this a solid 4 stars. The food was good and the vibe was nice. They definitely hook you up with generous portions so the price doesn't feel too high for what you get. Our daughter recommended this place for us instead of a different location we normally buy from. All I can say is wow. We had it delivered since Covid is still here. The plate was huge and I could've fed 3 people. My favorite thing was the chicken and the salad! This time around we ordered food and paid up front, and then were able to pick anywhere we wanted to sit. The food does still take a while, but it's made to order and absolutely delicious! We ordered shawarma fries and the combo platter. Both items were tasty, hot, and exceeded our expectations. Additionally, they set up the hookah fairly quickly after we sat down, and checked in on us a few times to see if we needed a top up. The ambience was very chill as there were patrons watching a basketball game. We engaged with them and they were polite and inclusive. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but this time the experience was positively memorable and we highly recommend. My boyfriend says it's some of the best hookah he's had, and the fresh and tasty food is an added delight. If you're looking for a low key space to enjoy hookah and great food, 100% recommend Caffe Amore! I bank in the parking lot of Caffe Amore and I've never known what this place was. I suggested it because I knew my friend was into Hookah, so we came here. We arrived around 730, it was empty except two couples on the inside but outside was packed. We ordered a bottle of red wine, and the cheese and fruit platter and a chicken kabob, and a Modelo. The atmosphere here is cool, I liked it. Décor is very nice. No one bothered you. We sat at the front and no one was around us we were laughing, we were crying, we were on our phones face-timing other friends, we were there for a good 3 hours just enjoying ourselves. Except when the smoke got strong for me, I KNOW WHERE I WAS AT lol but I opted not to use the Hookah because I had to work the next day and I have never done it. My friend has, but she didn't use it that night, we will have to come back to try it because I am curious. I've taken a liking to Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food lately, and the chicken kabob and the yogurt dressing were ridiculous it was so good. I didn't like the pita itself. But the chicken, I wanted to order 100 of them to go with the yogurt dressing, and the blue cheese block that came with the fruit and cheese platter. I have the luxury of traveling all around the world with the flexibility provided by my employer and have been a hookah enthusiast for the past 11 years; this has resulted in frequenting hookah lounges from around the world. Whether it be a local spot in Phoenix, a hip joint in Brooklyn, or an all-night cafe in Amman, Jordan . . .there is no place like Caffe Amore. Why? Well, there's a few reasons, 1. The hookah quality is CONSISTENT. I haven't ever experienced a harsh hookah or a lack of quality when it comes to providing a variety of flavors. Whether it's Fumari, Al Fakher, Starbuzz, and a few others; this place has a full menu and in the several years I have visited, they have not been out of stock. My typical mix in the past years has been Lemon Mint straight, Lemon Mint with Green Savior, Lemon Mint with Double Apple, Safari Melon with Lemon Mint, and Guava with Orange Mint. My range is limited, but you can count on the most popular flavors always being in stock. Don't want to cough all over yourself while you enjoy your bowl? This is your place. 2. It's a cafe as well, a place that you can actually relax. The ambiance isn't something extraordinary, but it definitely isn't one of those lounges that has flashing lights and is playing Top 40 hits at max volume. There's a time and place for that type of experience, but for the every day hookah-goer, I'm here to chill, read a book, listen to some ambient music, and be on my way without a headache. Sargon, his wife, and the rest of the Caffe Amore team keep this space spotless and there's never a question when it comes to cleanliness. 3. It's quite diverse. I know, you might be thinking, why does that matter? Well, from all the hookah "bro" lounges I have been to, where it's a crowd of cousins fooling around with the TV remote, this place is refreshing where there's a mix of people; not just your typical mix of Arabs, Persians, and Desi folks. You will see that reflected in both the staff at Caffe Amore and in the patrons that attend. 4. The pricing is super fair. I can get a hookah with a chai and an extra drink (my sister tags along on most occasions) for about $20. As someone who is a hookah connoisseur, most places the hookah starts at $25, not in Modesto, but definitely in major cities such as SF, LA, etc (and the quality SUCKS). Super grateful because even if it did cost an extra few dollars, I'd still pay. I have a great setup at home, but actually prefer to hookah at Caffe Amore. What else can I say? Don't waste your time, money, and quality of smoke at any other hookah lounge in Modesto. This is my number one spot. It's straightforward, no frills or tricks. They need to advertise that they offer Mediterranean food at reasonable prices and they should use services like Grubhub and Uber Eats. The vibe is chill, they have good food and according to my sister, it is the best hookah spot ever. There are no fufu or frills here, it's just all good all around. I've consistently been visiting Caffe Amore with my sister over the past few years and it has been a great spot for me to study and drink chai! I've been coming here for a while and it just gets under my skin when there's no appreciation for return business especially during Covid and pandemic. Today was the last draw for me. I went in for a hookah and some coffee after a long day. I ordered my usual hookah and it wouldn't start up flipped around the charcoal set all of them in the middle alerting the staff and he didn't seem like he wanted to fix it. I remove the foil I noticed that the ball was Packed properly and it was short quite a bit of tobacco. Everybody acknowledged that your hookah wasn't smoking normal today. I brought it to the owners attention and he felt embarrassed so he tells me he's going to give me one more warning about removing the foil instead of asked me why I removed the foil and had a very bad attitude. He should be embarrassed that he got caught shorting the tobacco trying to save a couple dollars. I will not be talking to disrespectfully nor will I be ripped off. I've got to say, I don't usually have a reason to get up one day and just go to modesto, but my better half told me that we're going to try this place in modesto and I had my upmost faith in her and wasn't at all dissapointed :) Allow me to start with Hookah + Food + Alcohol + Live DJ = Awesome chill spot. We don't have hookah places with food nor alcohol back in San Jose, but this place makes it work. The food is really good and generously proportioned at a reasonable price. The hookah is also reasonably priced and set up fairly quickly. The music they had going on was a mix of EDM, some Trap (awesome) and top 40s. The place itself, is cozy and not cramped and hard to maneuver through when crowded, which is really nice. The folks here are all incredibly friendly, a very mom and pop shop. Everything from the shisha to the customer service and food was all good quality, when I was here I was having a most wonderful time. Overall; if you want to find a new chill place to hookah and kick back with some chaps, this is a great hole-in-the-wall. Oh, and try their food, the rice and meat is good! read more

Went here last night to hang out with family. They had ordered a large combination platter with different meats. The chef grills everything outside to order, and the smell was just overwhelming. I honestly wasn't even hungry, but of course wanted to sample the food that looked so amazing. One bite of the beef brochette and I was fully prepared to grab the entire platter and make a run for it. Holy cow! It was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The lula kabobs were just as delicious; we're talking juices running down my chin, shoveling two hands in my mouth at one time kind of good. The chicken kabobs were spiced perfectly and full of flavor. Platter came with roasted tomatoes, jalapenos and onions, some rice and bread. We were a party of five and it completely filled us up.
