The parking lot is great, lots of space as it's part of a larger strip mall. Inside are plenty of tables and they were quite busy on a Thursday afternoon which made me excited because it means the food would be good- The food was great! I should have read the description of the vermicelli bowl better and ordered spring rolls instead... next time! Mom got pho and loved it! Let's start with the service. Although we were seated right away, we didn't get out food until 45 mins later along with our appetizers... During this wait, the small venue was getting hot and smokey, my eyes were burning up at some point :( It is small and too chaotic for my liking, or maybe dinner time isn't the best time? Now food, my partner ordered some noodles with meat and the meat was burnt. This makes sense why the place was smokey. They need to make sure to change their pans or clean them often. :( My pho was ok but along with the vibes, I'll have to go back to Coconut Cafe around the corner or Noahs! I really like the pho; it's delicious. It's the best I've tried here in Merced. The place is good, but sometimes it's absolutely packed.

I don't know if I just caught them on a bad day, but I was not satisfied at all. First off it took about 45 minutes to get the food. It was a little busy, but I do not think it should have taken that long. The meat itself was a little burnt and dry. The noodles were also just okay. Then the restaurant itself was a bit hectic and full of smoke. Someone would open the door and they would close it right away. Call me married the way I just got married to Mr. Pho. Y'all need to pull over on the side of the damn road and come to Mr. Pho. I got the Beefy Pho Combo and the bowl was huge and definitely worth the price of $18.98. I really like that they added the bone with the meat on it, as well as well as tasting super well made. I just discovered a new favorite at Mr. Pho. I wasn't in the mood for soup so I tried The Hungry Man plate, incredible! Rice (I upgraded to fried rice), 3 shrimp, fried egg, 2 egg rolls and for the protein I chose the Pork Chop. Amazing dish, lots of food, guaranteed some leftovers for tomorrow. We were coming home from Sonoma and decided to stop at Mr Pho for dinner. The food was AMAZING!!!! We had amazing beef pho, fresh, crunchy spring rolls with peanut sauce, crispy delicious egg rolls and a very tasty lemon grass chicken meal. This is a Subway turned into a restaurant which was super interesting to see. They accommodated 9 of us so if you want a slightly bigger party they have the seats (but the restaurant is small). [SCORE & ORDER] OVERALL: 4/5 Beefy Pho Combination $17 (4/5) -Beef meatballs, brisket, tendon, eye of round steak, tripe, flank & back ribs -This dish was pretty cool because it come with giant rib which I know it is mainly an aesthetic thing but it is still always cool. The meat fell right off the bone and that's when you know it's good. The flavor was pretty good, tasted like beef pho but I think it needed a little something (I can't tell what). Besides the rib, it was really little meat. I also think that the noodles were too soft and I am not sure if it was because it was left in the soup too long or if it was because they served it to me later, either way, not the best. Sorry I meant GOOD Pho from a Viet restaurant. Thai restaurants that serve pho as an after thought don't count and rarely is very good. I've had a lot of Pho over the years and yours is pretty solid. But then again, here in Merced, any decent Asian food is so good to me. I appreciate you Mr Pho! Beefy Pho. Yes, this is pretty much all I order. That beef rib was way more tender than I expected. Usually beef ribs are chewy and hard but yours is great. If I was to nitpick about anything is that I swear your beef rib gotten smaller... but either way it's good. Your price is a bit high but I get it... no competition... so why not. If you had a half of Tuesday or something I would come every time. Seriously. Schedule that in my calendar. The largest bowl of pho in town! I usually get the Beefy combination pho and it's huge! They're very generous with the portions, there's plenty of meat, and it comes with a rib! (Something bout having ribs in your pho just makes it hit different.) I also really enjoy the broth. It still manages to be light while flavorful and isn't heavy like how pho broth typically is in Merced. They also have a Seafood combination pho, fried rice and vermicelli noodle dishes, and plenty of delicious appetizers. All of these, of course, come in huge portions and are delicious! The servers are all really cute and attentive. The restaurant itself can get packed, especially on weekends, so I like to go during the weeknights when it isn't so crowded. There is plenty of comfy seating, whether if you'd like a booth or a table. Their hot tea is pretty tasty and they're good about refilling the hot water. Additionally, if you have a sweet tooth, you have to order their Thai Tea; my mom gets it all the time! read more
