I don't know if I just caught them on a bad day, but I was not satisfied at all. First off it took about 45 minutes to get the food. It was a little busy, but I do not think it should have taken that long. The meat itself was a little burnt and dry. The noodles were also just okay. Then the restaurant itself was a bit hectic and full of smoke. Someone would open the door and they would close it right away. I wanted to like this place, but I do not think I will be back.

Lovely experience, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We tried the spring rolls a pho and the hungry man's plate. So so good! I'm going to try the vegan option next they grill the tofu I hear.

Chunk of food in my water. Not my food. Most likely a previous customer.

First time here. They served me a water with a chunk of food on it. Makes me wonder if they wash the dishes. Eat here with caution.

Call me married the way I just got married to Mr. Pho. Y'all need to pull over on the side of the damn road and come to Mr. Pho. I got the Beefy Pho Combo and the bowl was huge and definitely worth the price of $18.98. I really like that they added the bone with the meat on it, as well as well as tasting super well made. The Thai tea was good. A bit sweet, but still good. Workers were super nice, and the place is well lit and spacious. Shoutout to Jason for taking our photo and being nice. You a goat brotha.

I just discovered a new favorite at Mr. Pho. I wasn't in the mood for soup so I tried The Hungry Man plate, incredible! Rice (I upgraded to fried rice), 3 shrimp, fried egg, 2 egg rolls and for the protein I chose the Pork Chop. Amazing dish, lots of food, guaranteed some leftovers for tomorrow. We also got the pork Bao Buns, delicious! Of course the service was great and the place was busy with happy customers. It's an all round great experience over at Mr. Pho.

Open later, in a decent area, with friendly service. Nd absolutely amazing pricing!! We got spring rolls, shaken beef, chicken satay and a salad for $37 dollars plus $9 tip. Oh, and that was with a Diet Coke too. Insanity. Food was very good with the favorite being the $12 shaken beef. A nice sauce, again at that stupid good price. This place is huge! I think a pizza joint in the past. Large screen tv and a consistent take out business. Street or alley parking. Food is probably 4+ stars but the pricing gets them a five!! Highly recommended in Merced.

Since she has graduated, I won't be in town anytime soon, but I highly recommend them for some good Thai and Laotian bites if you're ever in Merced! They have a selection of delicious dishes and I have loved everything that I've tried. My go-to orders are the Papaya Salad and Khao Poon. The papaya salad is a must and the spice level was the perfect amount. The Khao Poon is a coconut curry based noodle soup that is so flavorful. I've also come to really enjoy the Nam Khao (Laotian crispy rice salad), each bite is crunchy and absolutely delish. Your Asian comfort food cravings will definitely be satisfied here. Located off on the corner of 16th Street and G (same plaza as Little Caesars), the Papaya Lady is actually tucked away inside a carniceria. The aisles of the market nearly block the counter to this little kitchen. It's the neon sign of "The Papaya Lady" buzzing that guides you to the back. We came in the late afternoon on a Saturday and they were already out of the fried chicken and sticky rice (next time!). We ended up ordering: Papaya Salad (extra spicy) - The little peppers in this gave the dish a nice kick. Super refreshing on a hot day. Nam Khao (crispy rice lettuce wrap with pork skin) - I highly enjoyed this one with all the crunchy textures and flavors. Will 100% get again. Khao Poon (noodle soup) - This broth had a subtle peanut flavor which was delicious. Wished it had more toppings. Nam Vanh (tapioca drink) - My drink seemed to lack the other jellies that I saw in other pictures and only had the lil tapioca balls, sweetener and coconut milk. It felt like it was missing something for sure. The owner is so nice and friendly. I don't know if it's a psychological thing, but every time he acknowledged or spoke to me, he used my name. It just felt automatically more warm and welcoming lol The price per portion is also legit. You get so much for what you pay. Our order kept me and the SO fed for almost 3 days. So nice to have some good Asian food in the Central Valley. Will definitely be back!

The food is fresh and made to order. It's your typical Laos/Thai spot. My son's favorite is the Satay Chicken. We used to be a huge fan of the coconut water because it was as fresh and came with coconut bits, but under new management, they just handed us a can of coconut water you can easily buy at the Hmong Store in town AND without pulp. Unfortunately, that was a bit disappointing. Regardless, overall, food, service, and location took the cake so seeing as this was not our first time here, it also won't be our last.
