pepperoni and cheese pizza

Livas locals know! At this point, I don't really know if Geneo's is really all that good or it is the nostalgia of it all. This has always been the "spot" in Livingston. Everyone comes here for lunch, after local sporting events, to watch games, family dinner, you name it. That being said, it can get pretty packed during peak hours/big games. Located in a small strip mall at the end of Main Street. Parking usually isn't an issue. There is plenty of seating: perfect set up for large groups. They have a small arcade area towards the end of the restaurant and a private space for events. There's an old school pizza parlor feel with all the 90s high school team photos on the walls. Let's just be so grateful they got rid of that disgusting carpet. Lol Service always makes you feel welcomed. You order and pay at the counter, find a seat, self serve soft drinks, then they bring out your plates, condiments, and food order. They are frequently coming around to check on you or bust tables. I recommend calling in your order ahead of time, even if you're dining in, it can take awhile. Geneo's food is actually pretty unique. Yeah, there's pizza, wings, fries...but I can confidently say, these textures and flavors will not be found elsewhere. Some compare the pizza crust to a cardboard like texture, but I would describe it as crispy and flakey, almost burnt (in the best way possible). There is no type of flop to these slices. The wings are not meaty at all and I freaking love it! Growing up, everyone would say these were the rejected Foster Farms wings but hear me out! Because they're not super meaty, you get all the flavor, and they are SUPER crispy. They also don't skimp on the sauce either. I will argue that they have the best elevated Franks Hot Buffalo Sauce. The chicken dinners are a must. Crispy thighs, laying on a bed of french fries with potato rolls. Order that for your next family gathering, trust me. Oh, and don't sleep on them buffalo chicken salads. Is this the best pizza ever? Nah, but it's home.

Heard good things about this place from a co worker and went for the first time last night. It was busy and felt a bit overwhelming at first with all the noise and so many people (figured bc it's like a family/sports hang out so fun!) but we found a booth right away. Our food came around 25 minutes later and the food was so good!! Loved everything about it! It kinda reminded me of that pizza scene from the goofy movie, the type of pizza I've always wanted lol all the food went so well together from the crust and melty cheese with plenty of toppings to the buffalo wings being saucy and tangy to the well done crispy fries ugh it was so good! Personally being from Merced, I'd rate this place pretty up there. Better than round table, Pizza Hut, little Caesar's, Dominos and all of that. But I wouldn't rate it higher than little oven pizza (my fave) due to it just being a different kind of vibe pizza but the food is really good too just a different type of craving/pizza from little oven's New York style pizza Highly recommend !!

A friend suggested this pizza parlor. It's located in a small strip mall so there's limited parking. This is a family owned restaurant and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome herre. Inside is a bit worn so don't expect anything fancy if you're coming here. There's a couple big screen TVs and some arcade games inside. We grabbed a couple pitchers of beers, appetizer, and a couple pizzas. Everything tasted fine but nothing to rave about. My buddy grabbed the bill so I can't comment on the prices. No objections to eating here again.

Back in Livingston to visit the gf's family, and of course we had to stop by Foster Farms for some…read morequality diner food. Something I learned from the last time is that you can get your fried chicken 'buffalo dipped', which means after they freshly fry your chicken pieces, they dip it in buffalo sauce. This was a game changer! Some of the best fried chicken I've had and their buffalo sauce is the right amount of vinegar and spice. If you like anything buffalo, definitely try the fried chicken buffalo dipped. I think even their strips would be good this way. I ate the leftovers cold, and it was still hella good. On this day, they had a tuna melt special. Nothing special about it, but it's really good and simple. The fries were good as well, just needed a little more salt and pepper. We usually get the spicy chicken soup, but this time it was pretty mid, definitely better when you eat it there and not that great for takeout. Overall, definitely a staple whenever visiting the area because it's a simple yet affordable meal that hits the spot every time.

Classic diner vibes, with a lil livas spice!…read more Foster Farms Cafe is some of Livingston's best. Like most diners, the menu is pretty extensive. From traditional American breakfast to fried chicken dinner and literally everything in between. Some of my favorites are the spicy chicken soup (MUST TRY), tuna melt (when available), BLT, club, sweet potato fries, and fried chicken (duh). Food is made fresh, great quality, and isn't super greasy. Portion sizes are very large. You'll 100% get your money's worth! The spicy chicken soup is a signature menu item. It is absolutely unique and delicious. It's kind of hard to describe but I want to say it's like a crossover between chili and chicken tortilla soup? It's hearty and has a great spice combination filled with hominy, chicken, corn. I like to top mine off with tapatio and extra black pepper. Really, if you take anything from this review, just try this soup. This spot is your typical comfortable neighborhood diner. It feels homey and welcoming. Service is always super friendly. Most weekday mornings/early afternoons are slow enough, you can seat yourself. Weekends are jammed packed; they'll open the extra seating area. Their hours have varied a lot since the pandemic. I know they're open late on Thursdays. To be safe, I'll call before I stop by to make sure they're open. If you're driving down the 99, craving some diner food, skip Denny's and come straight here!

We went ahead and ordered anyway. While waiting, I started reading other reviews mentioning long wait times, but surprisingly, our food came out pretty quickly. Not only that, it was absolutely delicious. That definitely made up for the empty atmosphere. Don't let a quiet dining room discourage you--this place proves the food can more than make up for it.

We proceeded to wait in the empty lobby just awkwardly while they worker did his best to look busy. We waited an additional 30 minutes with not even an apology or acknowledgement of the fact that the food was not ready even though we were given an estimated time. Mind it, the whole place was so empty! The passive aggressive sign telling them to not even think about using their phone while working in full view of customers was also a bit of a turn off. As for the food, I am pretty sure one of the items that we were served was NOT what we ordered. I have no idea what it was but based on the color and smell, it was not it. It was a weird fuchsia color curry and definitely not tikka masala. We ordered the tandori chicken supreme pizza. Props for being unique and having plenty of ingredients but unfortunately the dough of the pizza just was super dry. Really bad first impression, we wouldnt come back just based off of that.
