Arrived with a bus tour group, about 58 people. They handled the crowd very well. Everything ordered within 30 minutes with drinks delivered. My lady had a pulled pork sandwich with a scoop of mashed potatoes and gravy. I had a turkey BLT with a roasted corn side. Everything was delicious, service was attentive without intrusion. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid and the place has plummeted bad. The food was lackluster and quite frankly, appalling. The mashed potatoes was a scoop and a teaspoon of gravy. The pulled pork sandwich was mediocre at best. The worst part about it all was the service. The Host was wearing a tattered zip up, nasty matted hair, muttered his words, and acted like we were a nuisance. The server wore his hat cocked to the side with an unidentifiable sweater on. My husband and I used to come here every week, but stopped after he became ill. It was just too hard for me. I recently began coming here again with my daughter and grandson. It is amazing. The manager is helpful and checks up on diners, and our server, a young lady named Tiffany, is truly a diamond deserving of that name. She takes orders, delivers food, keeps drinks refilled before we even realize we need a refill, and tends bar...she's a paragon of organization. The food comes out hot and is delicious. They're currently having a special on a full rack of ribs, for two, with 4 sides and a dessert for $30. They were fall-off-the-bones perfect. The sides are great too...I usually do not care over much for fries, but these come out really good, and hot. And the serving so big you cannot finish them all. He is a pleasure to of to do business with, and he clarified the incorrect information the call center gave me. I was told by the call center that Smokey Bones no longer sells baby back ribs . Steak was cooked perfect and had some good flavor but the sides were poor. Tacos are not recommended. Pulled pork looked good but not sure why they serve it on garlic toast. Full rack of ribs is a great portion. Tender but lacked much flavor without the extra sauce on the table. The smokehouse burger was cooked well and toppings were good but they put bbq sauce on the plate and then set the burger down. So the bottom bun falls apart very early in the experience. This restaurant is really cozy with a rustic flair. And it smells wonderful form the street. The layout before you actually get to the door is a bit odd. You practically have to walk around the entire front of the building to get to the side entrance. I can overlook oddities if they have good food, which they do. They have an extensive and almost overwhelming drink menu. I ended up just going with a draft beer and some deeeelicious deep fried pickle chips to start. I would seriously just be happy going there for those two things alone. Speaking of which, I see that they have specially priced munchies after 10pm most nights. I ordered the build your own burger with the vegan burger pattie and fries. It was good at first, but quickly became unappetizing mush. Like eating stuffing on a bun. They really need to work on their recipe to make it sturdier. I had to send it back. That said, I don't recommend their veggie burger. The items that really do shine aside of the pickles are the fire roasted corn, loaded mashed potatoes, the BBQ brisket and the hot bag of donuts with the yummy dipping sauces. Oh yes honey! Second warning sign was the guy who greeted me seemed to be inconvenienced at my arrival and wanting to eat at 7pm. Took quite awhile to get check to pay bill , wanted to leave. After they talked us into the rib special when it came time to pay, they said you can't use your coupon. I am shocked at the poor customer service I just received. We ordered on Grub Hub Delivery and the food was BURNT TO A CRISP...It was inedible! I rarely complain, but this was HORRIBLE. We waited 1 1/2 hours for delivery on a Thursday night and my husbands ribs were burnt and the steak I ordered medium was burnt with a burnt crust on top like shoe leather and dark all the way through....NOT MEDIUM. Our Cornbread was hard and inedible. The only thing we ordered that was ok was the baked potato. I called the restaurant to complain and got a run around by the "Acting Manager" telling me he could not refund my money or send me a replacement because I had to go through GRUB HUB. WHY????? GRUB HUB did not create the burned mess this restaurant had delivered to us....they were merely the delivery service. So, in order to get a replacement meal I would have to order food through the delivery app? What was going to ensure we received anything edible and I was told I had to order again and ASK GRUB HUB for a refund. I AM MAD! DO NOT waste your time with this business. We went here for my moms birthday. It was our first time at this location, but had been to other Smokey Bones before. The restaurant was so dirty, it was disgusting and just made us feel gross the entire time we were there. When you walked on the floor your shoes would stick and you could hear the stickiness every time you picked up your feet. Our table was also sticky and dirty. We ended up using our little wet napkins for your hands to wipe off the table. The bbq bottles they have in the center of the table were COVERED in sauce, were so sticky, and some sauced was even hardened on the bottle. It was evident they had not been wiped down in awhile. In all, the food was okay and our server was nice but the cleanliness of the restaurant was not good at all. read more
