Food was just okay. If you're in the area try it but I wouldn't go out of my way. The staff was nice but this is not a place to dine in.

I've been having a taste for peach Cobbler and stopped in to see if they sold it...they did. It was so good. I got the two piece catfish meal which usually comes with cole slaw and French fries. I upgraded the sides to fried cabbage and sweet potatoes. The fish was fried well. It was moist with a crispy outside. I would have liked if it were fried just a little harder, but it was still very good. The sweet potatoes didn't taste very fresh. They were likely canned but I did appreciate that they were doctored up with seasonings and sugar. The fried cabbage was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was well seasoned and balanced. I could have had several more servings of that. The restaurant is primarily a pickup and go spot. It seems to be located inside of a former fish or meat market as there are large meat coolers across the entire space. There's no tables or chairs for dining in. The service was fast and friendly.

Sundays seem to be particularly problematic. If you want to be closed on Sundays, just close the business on Sundays, and we'll all keep it moving. But there is nothing more annoying than not being able to place an order with a business that says it is open. A big no-no. Otherwise, the food and the fried chicken is great. The biscuits and side offerings are wonderful! They changed their original chicken coating, which I thought was fabuous, but the honey crunch coating is delicious too.

I decided to go with the turkey gusher burger. I ordered over the phone and was greeted by the very friendly owner. He was super pleasant and excited to talk about his business, which I loved. The location is right on 185th in what seems like an older, diner style restaurant. There there are only a few table/booths, but the restaurant is pretty big. Not much ambiance, as I think Roaming Meals recently transitioned from a food truck into this space. The vocal point of the space is the kitchen which is right in the middle. The place is pretty clean and his daughter who was the cashier was very friendly. My total was 13.85 for the burger and an order of fresh cut fries. When I got to the car I realized that the burger was wrapped up in aluminum foil inside my box. I opened it up and was a little surprised to see a super tiny hamburger bun for this patty. It was so small and smashed, I thought I might not be able to enjoy the burger. I happened to be going to the grocery store afterwards, so I picked up some hamburger buns. The fries were definitely hand cut and super delicious, perfectly crispy. The burger was big. I love that it was handmade and the flavor was pretty good. I was surprised by the amount of cumin I believe used in the patty. It was kind of yellow which I attribute to the massive cumin flavor I detected. It didn't taste bad, but also didn't really make sense. I would return to try a regular beef patty burger from him one day, however, the bun was pretty disappointing, and I think he should consider getting better buns.

I don't understand their business model but I am so glad I came here to try Irie after living only 12 minutes away from their Euclid location for the past 4 years! They now have 5 locations in NE Ohio. I wanted to get carryout food from a place nearby that I have never been to and also cross an item off the checklist in my Cleveland Eats bucket list book. See picture. So after some scrolling on Yelp, my bf and I decided on Irie. I am not too familiar with this area as I usually have no reason to come here but I found street parking easily at about 645pm on a Friday. Inside, it is very small and only one person was working and I was 4th in line so I waited in line for what felt like ages! This definitely does not move quickly like other fast casual restaurants. Be aware of this when timing out your dinner. We didn't know any better about the huge portion sizes so we each got chicken boxes with a side of cabbage and fried plantains. I got TWO massive bone in chicken thighs on top of four heaping scoops of Jamaican rice. My bf got a mix of jerk chicken cubes and savory chicken cubes. He liked the savory chicken better, especially as it was dripping in a slightly spicy gravy. We got a "reasonable" amount of cabbage and plantains but the person in front of me got double sides of macaroni and cheese and I swear it was about 5 cups of mac and cheese! Total came out to about 35 bucks after adding in a 3 dollar tip and a $4.50 rum cake to share the next day. Since we haven't eaten the cake yet, I can't comment on that but it smells strongly of rum! Very excited to get into that! So we finished off our boxes and ended the night in food comas and cod barely focus on our annual watch of Pride and Prejudice (2005) we watch on our anniversary. Sorry Mr. Darcy!!! But yes, on a day when I am wanting massive amounts of cheap, delicious food, I'll definitely come back here!
