We stopped by on a Sunday evening. 10 minutes wait wasn't too bad. Then we got sat at our table our sever Elaine was awesome very attentive and courteous. We ordered half rack of barbecued ribs. It took 30 minutes for the food to come and the food was lukewarm my sides were beans and Mac n cheese the beans were great the Mac n cheese was terrible something like an Alfredo sauce over elbow macaroni. They do offer military discount though. Al in all a mediocre restaurant. The place was clean and orderly nothing too fancy. read more

It's been awhile since my last review and the food has become way over priced for what you get, I actually prefer to go to the brick for ribs over here they just aren't filling and meaty like they used to be. The sauce is still good. And the other bbq is good but just doesn't stand out. My last dinner was a king crab dinner that was pretty decent expensive but decent. Nothing superb here. Could be since they rebuilt and moved idk. Service is always friendly staff is happy to serve. It's a nice casual environment. Passed by while driving through town. Not familiar with it but decided to try it and I'm glad we did. I ordered the barbecue half chicken and my wife got the ribs and chicken plate. The portions were very good sized. The sauce was a pleasing mild flavor. The cole slaw was creamy and not finely shredded as many places serve. Stopped into this place after the sunflower festival based off reviews for lunch. Interior was pretty standard however their back deck area was really pretty. We split the half ribs and half chicken with baked potato and Cole slaw. Ribs were cooked well and chicken was also done well remaining pretty juicy. However the meat was pretty bland only to be covered up by the bbq sauce. I didn't care for the sauce but my husband liked. For these reasons I would come back but not get meat although it was cooked fine. Cole slaw looks creamy but had more vinegar taste which was solid. Baked potatoes and bread were fluffy and hot. My son got the Mac and cheese which looked like Stouffers and came in a huge bowl. Baked beans were the side which tasted more like ranch beans. I was trying to meet up with a cousin half way between Hubbard and Lakewood. The mid point is Hiram and this is literally the only option. So... here we came. During the week, they have fairly limited hours. We were meeting at 4:30, and that's when the doors open. We stayed until 8 when they closed. The server was very sweet. Since it was a Thursday night, we told her we were planning to stay a while to catch up, and while she checked on us and made us feel welcome, she was kind enough to let us just hang out for a while, too. The food was nothing to write home about. I had a veggie burger with cajun fries and my cousin had a salmon salad. Portions were good value and the food was pretty decent. I've been driving past Blazin Bills for several years with every intention of dining in one day. I took my son to work with me and we had some spare time, so I told him we were going to eat at Blazin' Bills. Upon arrival, there was a 30 minute wait. I usually don't have patience for 30 minutes, but on this day, I didn't have anything else to do and I was far away from any other restaurant. So we waited and then we were seated. After a while, a waitress visited to take our drink orders. After another while, our drinks were delivered. Then we put in our food requests. My son requested brisket bites with french fries. I requested a root beer float and a salmon salad. Then our waitress brought some fresh bread, which was very tasty. A long while went by and then our food was delivered. My son's brisket dinner which was $21 looked like a $12 kids menu brisket dinner. I tasted the brisket and it was fatty and not like other brisket I've eaten. It wasn't that great. The fries were not great, but just okay. My salmon salad was pretty tasty, but small for the price. I'm glad I visited, but I won't be back. Long wait for lackluster food. read more

From the moment I walked inside the door I was overlooked. At the table the wait staff forgot about me twice. When they brought out my food they forgot a side. Food was ok at best. We were on our way back from an east side shopping trip when we stopped for a mid-afternoon lunch. Finding a spot on the patio was easy and we settled in for our 'que meal. The server brought us drinks and a warm loaf of bread with a delicious buttery spread. I ordered a full rack of ribs and my wife chose the pulled pork sandwich. Unfortunately, I have to say that these were one of the worst rack of ribs I've ever had; they were boiled and then slathered with a tangy sauce and they also left the silver skin on the backside of these St. Louis style bones. So many no-no's here on the preparation, it was a real disappointment. As for my chosen sides, the super-thin shoestring fries were cold within minutes and although the mac-n-cheese was very gooey / creamy it lacked any real cheese flavor. My wife's pulled pork sandwich contained a sauce that reminded us both of a sloppy joe mix rather than a tangy or smokey BBQ sauce. After waiting for the food and smelling a terrific scent from the kitchen, the product delivered to our table just did not measure up. read more

Not sure how they call it a barbecue joint when there isn't any barbecue sauce or more than a few meats? I ordered the closest thing on the menu- brisket- and it came as an anemic portion of beef cubes. Not even juicy and no sauce in sight! I've always driven past, but never stopped. But when you see a place that has BBQ and you haven't tried it yet, when your anywhere nearby you have to give it a go. The wife and I stopped in midday on a Saturday. As soon as we arrived, we checked out this places outdoor space. Looks like a nice spot to just chill and relax on those hot summer days they have a nice sized water feature. We walked in and were seated right away. Cold beer and BBQ what more could I want. We started with stuffed jalapeno. It was a bit of a mess. They took a single large jalapeno opened it up flat, pilled it with BBQ pulled pork and cheese. The pulled pork didn't have much smoke to it, I was a little disappointed with it. I think the presentation needs to be better. I ordered the brisket. That was delicious. The BBQ sauce and a little smoke in the brisket. It was tender and delicious. I also got the homemade baked beans those were good as well. They were cooked perfectly, slightly firm, and good flavor in the sauce. The only complaint is that I wish the portion was slightly larger. The patio on a hot summer night is the reason to go back to this place. The Service was great. read more

I won a trophy 20 years ago for something and I'm writing a Yelp review, so award winning + Yelp reviewer. I really want to like Bills. That's why I've been twice. Once, like 6 years ago, and then yesterday. I was as underwhelmed yesterday as I was 6 years ago. You have to hand it to them for their consistency. The biggest problem here is that the food just not good. Staff was friendly. Great facility. Impressive Santa decorations outside. Big menu. But why bad BBQ? I have no idea what their food tasted like in 1992, but today it just doesn't stack up. If I have to choose between good BBQ and bad BBQ, I'm choosing good BBQ 99.999999% of the time. On my first visit, I was not impressed with the ribs - not fall off the bone, not enough sauce. That's like all you need for good ribs? This time I went with Brandon's BBQ Brisket Platter. Now I don't know who Brandon is or why he was inspired by brisket that you can get from a freezer section of a wholesale warehouse store, but I guess you tried. Fries were good, but a little green. Green fries happen when potatoes get old. The Mac & Cheese was identifiable as mac & cheese, but Kraft delivers a better experience in a box. One last gripe. "Prices do not reflect a 15% in prices" was stapled to the top of each menu. Fine, I get it. Inflation sucks; greedy corporations have to get theirs. $18.75 would have been a lot to pay for this brisket dinner. $21.60 was way too much to pay for this dinner. But $18.75 * 1.15 = $21.56. So I'm not about to start a fit over $0.04 but are they rounding up? Is it not exactly 15%? read more

We met out a blazing bills on a Friday night for eight of us for dinner about 8. Now I know this was in the middle of Burton and some people would call that the middle of nowhere but I thought it was a pretty cool place for being smack dab in the middle of nowhere. The bartender was very attentive and in a way I kind of wish we could have spent more time at the bar because we are having a good time talking with the locals and the bartender. Our server was polite and attentive and we really did not want for anything as our drinks were filled quickly. I ended up ordering a pulled pork sandwich and fries and for some reason I thought this was a barbecue joint I don't know where that got into my head but if they ever decide to take up barbecue they've got a pretty good start with this pulled pork sandwich. My buddy got a slab of ribs and Fries to which he promptly demolished and said the meat fell off the bone and he could not have been happier. It was kind of odd that on a Friday night to places near empty but that is to my benefit I guess. I don't like to get 5 stars off the bat without giving it a second chance so I'll leave it at 4 and give him another try and see if they can go for the home run. My only real complaint is that it could use an a refresher in the decorating Department. read more

terrible management all around, the ribs are kept in a barn behind the restaurant in the summer which has flies in it, which means there's flies eating your ribs before you do. and most of what they claim to be "homemade" is actually store bought, like how their mac and cheese is stoffers. about a week ago there was an incident between the cook and a waitress, the cook ended up attacking the waitress and multiple customers. in the end 7 employees got fired for standing up for the waitress attacked, for the owners of the restaurant did not want to fire the cook. so that says enough about the ambiance. So if you want to eat bugged up food and watch a grown man attack people and maybe yourself, go to blazin bills! read more

I was going to also inquire about rates for sandwich's for a July 4th office party of 30 employees.
