Ordered the grill cheese stuffed with brisket. Meat was cold and the cheese not melted. There were 4 customers in the restaurant. Server was nice but distracted by customer number 4.

Thanks to my yelp friend Kara M (in Indianapolis), I decided to give this place a visit on her recommendation. "Do they have any Smokey Bones restaurants down where you live? They have great food!" she said. "I don't think I've ever been to a Smokey Bones location (at least not one I can remember), but they do have one at The Mall of Georgia, which is only 15 minutes from my home! I'll check 'em out!" I replied. "Oh you will love it!!! Great place" she exchanged. I was walking through their doors about 3 hours after our conversation, although I must admit I was still very hesitant due to their 2.5 star average rating after 226 reviews. The foodie in me just kept chanting "please be good, please be good, please be good" and honestly, I think I might have said it out loud as I was placing my order! LOL [ THE EXPERIENCE ] Forever the people person, I walked in immediately bantering with the bar staff like I'd been there 100 times. Inevitably the conversation drifted towards baby back or spare ribs, to which I am a spare rib fan. But the staff insisted on the baby backs, which drew the question "where are you from", because I don't trust certain regions of the country to like MY KINDA BBQ!!! After I insisted they were too young to know good BBQ the manager on duty joined the debate and allowed me to sample one bone each of the spare and baby backs to help me decide. I want to just say I was BLOWN AWAY when he brought me a full bone of each fully dressed. I thought I was gonna get maybe a fork full of meat, but he came out guns blazing!!! The bartender staff (whom I had harassed about their knowledge of BBQ) stood arms crossed in front of me waiting for the results of my taste test. You would have thought the young male had won the lottery after I *reluctantly* told him he was right while simultaneously hiding my face. "TOLD YOU! TOLD YOU!!! I KNOW BBQ!!!" he exclaimed in a exuberant celebration! Hahahaha. "Whatever sucka! You got lucky" I whispered playfully. [ THE SERVICE ] My order was to-go and I was told it would be about 15 minutes, but I literally went to take a few pics, then went to restroom for just a minute and it was coming out of the kitchen almost as I was returning. "You lied to me young lady" I said. "That was not a 15 minute wait!" "How long was it... 10 minutes?" she replied. "No, maybe 5 minutes... maybe!" I said. "My bad!" She exclaimed as she handed me the well-packaged bag and we exchanged laughs. [ THE FOOD ] My Baby Back Rib Feast included a full rack, two sides, Texas toast and a drink for $19.99 + $5 upcharge for the baby backs... which I thought was fairly reasonable. The to-go container was super sturdy! Don't think I've ever had such a large container that felt so solid. The ribs were excellent with the brown sugar sauce and the baked bean were just the right amount of sweetness, not too little or too much. The loaded mash was just okay, but a little salt when I got home helped them shine brighter. Overall I was very pleased, but want to contain my excitement with a simple 4-star first time rating. Time will tell if they deserve higher or if I just got lucky my first go. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] Yelpers get it wrong sometimes. I didn't find this experience to be any less than wonderful. The staff was fun, the restaurant was clean, large and nicely decorated, the food was great and service was lightening quick! The longest part of my visit was trying to decide which type of ribs to order. I'm sorry I didn't get the young man's name or the manager, but to each of you AND my server Kiara... Thank you! We arrived at 1:30 on a Saturday for lunch and the restaurant was almost empty except for one other table, which was leaving. That was red flag #1. Red flag #2 was that all of the condiments at every table were completely wrapped in plastic wrap. After our order was taken, we never had the chance to speak to the waitress again. We sat there so long that we finally got up and left without eating. Our food never came. We left cash on the table for 2 sweet teas. How does this place stay in business?

2 proteins & 2 sides. This dish was really great. I wish there were more sauces, that's my only small complaint.

I would eat here way more often if it wasn't for the trouble of parking and navigating around mall traffic. This past weekend was my first time eating at Smokey Bones and I didn't have high expectations since it's a chain and I've eaten at every mom n' pop BBQ place around. Imagine my surprise to find that the food was incredible! It's a large restaurant, and eating there on the earlier side of dinner, I couldn't really gauge whether they were social-distancing their tables because it wasn't busy, but the staff was all wearing masks. Our server was friendly but not terribly prompt with drinks and retrieving our check. The grub!! I don't think I've ever had smoked turkey that was so moist and delicious. I had the 2 protein combo (turkey, pulled pork, onion rings and fire roasted corn) and it came with a side of garlic bread, along with (to my dismay) only one container of barbeque sauce. I really prefer that BBQ joints offer different regional/types/flavors of sauce, and the only option was what tasted like something sticky, dark and sweet from a grocery store squeeze bottle. Overall the food was spectacular and if it was in a more convenient location, I would definitely eat here many more times.

Smokey Bones was nothing short of a let down... My two friends and I decided on this restaurant after shopping at the Mall of Georgia. We were absolutely starving and from the outside and online menu it looked like it would absolutely hit the spot. We walk in around 6:30, and there was not a soul in sight besides the host. Obviously not a good sign, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt. Which I can say with full confidence, I will never do again. Our waitress takes our drinks and appetizer orders, and about five minutes after we put our entrees in. We get the fried pickles (not pictured), which do not come out until about 15-20 minutes after ordered. At this point we are at the 35 minute mark and still no food. The waitress has came to check on us once or maybe twice. Eventually our food comes out, and we are starving, ready to devour these meals. My two friends got wings with a side of mac&cheese, fries, and I got the green chili burger with fries. The burger was so underwhelming that I thought they had plated a big mac. The wings don't look that bad, but looks obviously aren't everything. They weren't heated well, and hardly rolled in sauce. All food that we had was unseasoned, bland, and overall just not good. I forgot to mention, make sure you bring a flashlight if you want to see/eat because this place makes Apple-bees lighting seem superior. After this very below mid food, we ask for the check. The check comes out and it the tip is included in the check. Not just any included tip...25% TIP!?! A $7 tip for poor service and bad food. Absolutely insane. Let's just say, I will never be going back to here, and if I ever suggest this place to you or anyone, we probably have beef.

We had a party of six and was seated pretty quickly. I had the bbq chicken, Mac and cheese, and a salad. My food was good but I couldn't finish it. My kids had lemon pepper wings and Mac and cheese. They didn't like the chicken but finished their mac and cheese. The mac and cheese tasted like it was missing something. There weren't any other complaints at our table overall. We tried the corn bread strawberry shortcake and it was pretty nasty. I can't remember our waitress's name but she was new and was phenomenal.

What happened to the old Smokey Bones that I knew and loved back between 2005-2007?? Back then I think they had one on Pleasanthill Road that I used to love to go to. I would ALWAYS order a full rack of baby back ribs and eat the whole thing by myself because they were so good. I would get back to work and wouldn't be worth anything. They were always on point! I used to go there on my lunch breaks but they closed down for some reason. I never had them again until a few days ago through an Uber order. My order was on time and everything else, but what happened to the ribs?? Order Arrived, Time to Eat: First and foremost, my pet peeve with BBQ is SMOKE!! I NEED to taste that smoke in BBQ because that's what make it BBQ in my eyes. The sides were great, even the ribs tasted good but it was missing the main element that I love tasting in BBQ and that's the smoke. I didn't get what I remembered back in those days. Judgement time while eating: I forgot the type of sauce I asked for, but it was on the ribs. Now I think Smokey Bones has become like some of these other places that want to depend on their sauce while not actually having the flavor. Case and point, if I would have ordered them with no sauce, I would have really been highly disappointed!! Why?? Because if they were naked, I wouldn't have tasted any smoke, and the seasoning would have been subpar at best. The only thing I tasted was the sweet sauce with no smoke and nothing else. Now, on the website it says smoked for 4 hours. Why did I not taste any smoke at all when your name is Smokey Bones?? Again, the sauce made the ribs good but you cant pass that by everyone. Especially the ones that know BBQ. Post Judgement on Everything: The sides were nice with no problem. I had the baby back ribs 1/3 cut. I don't understand why a lot of these places are trying to get away from smoke. I tried so hard, I mean really tried to taste smoke in those ribs and it got to the point where it reminded me of TGI Friday. Sauce will handle everything they think. Wait until someone orders something without sauce and see how far you will get. Without smoke, there is no semblance to actually certify it as real BBQ. At least not to me anyway.

(Heads up this is a sit down and eat in review) The Delivery: Once again another Saturday I was in the mood for something new, some down south BBQ is what I had in mind, little did I know I def got what I asked for. Went to the mall to do some shopping and saw the local "Smokey Bones" restaurant and unlike everything else in the area, it was the only restaurant not packed to the brim with people. We walk in and are immediately seated, noting that the place well-kept and quiet but...that's because no one was in there, but I digress :P. After being seated out drink order were taken but if I recall I don't think everyone was wearing a mask, some people did and some people didn't. The Presentation: When ordering our food, we decided to get the (Loaded Fries) as the appetizer and seeing that it looks like more than the enough for two people, so we stopped at that. As for the main course we got the (SmokeHouse Mac) and the (Brisket Grilled Cheese). All came nicely prepared and on time, no complaints in that department except for one small tid bit which I will get into later when reviewing the food. The Taste: (Loaded Fries) Okay so that tid bit I mentioned above this is where it starts. The loaded fries came out looking nicely but as soon as I decided to dip my fork into it and grab just one, i noticed it was hard and partially cold on top. So, the cheese wasn't melted anymore and had cooled on top to the point that it was just one giant block of cheese stuck together on top. Anything below that warm at best but still too hard to eat so we just ultimately gave up on even attempting to eat it, unless it was on the bottom-bottom of the plate. (2/10) (Brisket Grilled Cheese) So this was my meal mind you, and everything looks all fine and dandy at first but once again.....it taste like oversweet crap. The brisket was dry, and the cheese wasn't melted. Now mind you i could put up with that cause i was starving at the time but then i go to dip it into the tomato bisque, it hits me like a truck. The tomato bisque is too sweet i thought i felt my blood sugar spike through the roof. I get it, tomatoes are naturally a bit sweet but why did it taste like someone dumped sugar in it. Needless to say,....it ruined my whole appetite, I just put it down and ate in the mac & cheese for the rest of the meal since you get a choice of one side, which was surprisingly decent. (3/10) (SmokeHouse Mac) Oh god this was worst thing out of all of them, wait answer this...you like BBQ sauce? If you answered yes, do you like ALOT of BBQ sauce? If it's still a yes, then multiple that by 3, that's what this tasted like. The entire bottom of the bowl was soaked in super sweet BBQ sauce, which ruined the whole meal. I get that it's a BBQ joint but there is a thing as to much! (3/10) The Conclusion: Not worth the time or money tbh, the place looks nice and is clean, plus the service is good butttttt the food is garbage......unless you like ALOT of BBQ...or you just want diabetes :P Covid Safe? Aye no one was in there so you can get more covid safe than that xD. TL:DR (Pros) Clean place, fast service, decent seating (Cons) Might get diabetes, food is cold to luke-warm at best. (P.S) Just go to the Cheese Cake Factory literally 3 mins away

Food was just ok. The ribs and wings were over cooked and very chewy. I wolfed them down anyway since I hadn't eaten all day. The flavor on the Memphis wings seemed like it would be really good if they were pulled off a little sooner. The broccoli seemed like it was about to turn and should have been tossed. I actually ordered the babyback ribs but they said they were out and only had the St.Louis style. I was ok with that but when I got my bill she still charged me for the babybacks. It was only a few bucks extra and didn't want to wait for the switch so I just paid and got out of there. The Hostess seemed to be covering the bar and was the only waitress. Luckily there were only 2 other couples in the entire restaurant so it wasn't an issue. She was really sweet and kept my drink full.

Stopped in for lunch while waiting on my phone from the Apple Store, which is another story but needless to say... I needed a cocktail STAT. We sat at the bar and our bartender Shreba (?) was great, very engaging and quick to serve us. The food though, meh. We tried the pulled pork plate and the "stacked" baked potato. Pork was pretty generic, not bad but not good either. They do have a selection of sauces for you to doctor it up to your taste. As far as the potato, the only thing that was stacked on it was 2 HUUUUUGE dollops of salted butter and sour cream. Also- it was crunchy, not baked... could have used another 20 minutes in the oven. If you need a drink to drown your sorrows from being at the mall, and want a quick bite sure. If you want decent BBQ, this isn't your destination. For $60 I'd drive to Atlanta and hit up fox bros instead. read more

Read the reviews about the customer service, tried it any ways and did not regret it. Nikki was our waitress and she was fabulous. She was attentive and took her time with us while not feeling like we were neglected when she gave the same attention to other customers. It was truly a good customer experience. The food was very good. Got the BBQ burger and the sauce was sooooooooo good. It was so much food. Got onion rings and they were crispy and not too greasy. Nicely Panko crusted. My bf got the ribs with side of roasted corn and baked potato. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Buttery, salty, and tender when and where it should be. Corn bread skillet was buttery and cake like. Delish!! Overall. Amazing experience will be back. read more

Had a HORRIBLE experience with both food and service during a visit for a special occasion. Sent a written complaint THREE TIMES with NO response. Obviously they don't care about customer feedback or retention. smh.... FOLLOW UP: Went there last month in hopes of having a better experience and it was JUST AS BAD! Wow. Could NOT believe it! Didn't even waste time trying to contact them about it because they clearly do not care. What a waste of time and money!! read more

I guess if you consider BBQ sauce ketchup then this is a great BBQ place. The prices are about average and there is a good bit to choose from. However I just don't like anything on their menu. I guess get a burger because anything smothered in their sauces aren't really the best. Besides their food, the server I had did not visit my table more than twice. I had to stop another server to refill my wife and i's drink. There are a lot better places around the mall to go to fore lunch or dinner, I'd choose one of those. read more

Hey friends! There's a new restaurant at the Mall of Georgia, If you are in the mood for BBQ, go no further than Smokey Bones. I had the Pulled Pork Sammy - the name of their pulled pork sandwich. This sandwich is really good. (I have had it twice within 2 weeks that I have known this restaurant was open) The pork is seasoned and smoked. There's lots of BBQ sauce flavors to choose on the table. As a side, you must have the Sweet Potato Sticks. They are thin sliced, lightly salted pieces of heaven. I highly recommend saving room for dessert. The house made "Hot Bag 'O donuts" are really, really good. They are served hot with both a raspberry, and chocolate dipping sauces. The chocolate cake is massive. It took me 3 days to finish that one slice of cake! As you all know, I love to bake, and I know my chocolate cakes. This cake is really good. The frosting is fluffy, yet dense, and made just right. Good job on the frosting! My favorite menu item is the donuts. I see myself ordering those just as a snack to eat after walking around the mall. My least favorite thing about Smokey Bones is the wait for your food. This restaurant is popular and super busy, so it takes a while for your food. But, it is served hot. I would recommend Smokey Bones to friends. It is a great new restaurant conveniently located and perfect for shopping dates and movie nights. read more

Went here for lunch and my husband and I both got the Hawaiian Ribeye.. Well let me tell ya, it was PERFECT!! The cook cooked it spot on medium rare and the flavor was amazing.. It was soo tender and juicy that my husband said it was the BEST steak he has ever had.. The cook was from Cleveland and works the lunch shift.. Our waitress was awesome as well.. We will definitely be going back.. Food and service both were great, what more could you ask for read more

This place is terrible! Service is horrible can't believe I thought this place could make a come back! Sit near the bar your near a server rack such crap this place is trash! I think they're smoked food is delivered!!! Straight garbage! Host was great rest of the experience was trash even for a Wednesday night! From a so called chain remain away! You may have a good experience but mine was horrific! read more

I should have known better but gave it a chance anyway. Chain BBQ is rarely worth trying and this was like the rest but it is also obviously poorly managed The service was subpar at best; our server rarely came over despite it taking 45 minutes to get our food. The food itself was on the same level as the service; the chicken and pulled pork were both so bland it was like they were cooked in the oven. The baby backs were not too bad, though they need to lighten up on the sauce. This will me my one and only visit ever to Smokey Bones read more

Hands down the best restaurant ever. The staff was incredibly caring and on top of it. But more so the manager was the most hands on manager I have ever seen. He truly shows he's passionate about his restaurant and cares. Will be returning for sure read more

I haven't been to a Smokey Bones in years since I lived in Columbus, GA, and I was super excited. The first thing I will say is the environment is super loud. It was hard to have dinner conversation with everyone yelling about sports. Also, I ordered the pork tenderloin, and the portion size was pretty small, around 5 oz. of meat I'm assuming. The entree was $15, which was a little bit excessive in my opinion for the size portion. My biggest complaint about this is the picture of this menu item on the menu is VERY misleading. It shows 4 of 5 huge slices. Obviously, I don't expect that much, but there is just a huge difference in what is advertised and what you actually get. The donuts in a bag were DELICIOUS, and our server was awesome too. read more

While out shopping today we stopped by for a bite. The wait time was short and our waitress took our drink order in quick order. In fact our waitress did a great job. The low stars this time was due to a couple items. The area we were seated had several tables that were not cleaned and someone didn't get to them for about an hour. Then when they brought my salad there was spoiled lettuce mixed in it. They took care of that when I brought it up to the waitress. The second salad was better but still had a few bad pieces. I had also ordered the smoked wings and bourbon chicken breast. The chicken breast was perfect but the wings tasted like the chickens had been raised by the dead sea. read more

$ 3.45 for a soft drink....really ? Our waiter took our order ( forgot to bring drinks until I mentioned sometime later ) , brought our food and took our check. No offer for refills etc. , was mostly busy bussing tables. The food was just OK. The service was mediocre. The value - You can do better for your $$$. I keep making the same stupid mistake. The other restaurants were really busy with long wait times but this one had several empty tables..........well HELLO !!!!! read more

They recently opened so maybe I should give them a pass, but.... 1. We waited to be seated when there were 10+ open tables 2. Our waitress was uninformed about specific selections on the menu 3. When the food came out each item on the plate was a different temperature. The plate was hot, corn was lukewarm, Brunswick stew was scorching, and the pork was warm. 4. Went here for the first time a few days ago and the most I'd give is 2 stars. First of all the place was extremely short staffed. When I walked inside I waited at least 10 minutes and no one was there in the front of the restaurant. I had to get their attention just so I could sit down at a table. The food was not too good. I ordered a veggie burger and it was literally just filled with peas. I've had better ones frozen from the supermarket. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I only came here cause the wait at the Cheesecake Factory across was 2 hours and it was a mistake to come here read more

William was our server and he was fantastic, he really let me know that there were a lot of great reasonably good options with regard to the menu. While my husband longed for the heavier fare, William alerted me to great healthy options of both worlds for a fraction of the cost of buying more than I knew I could eat.. I will be back due to his helpful friendly service!! if you are fortunate enough to be seated under his care you're sure to feel welcomed, like you were at someone's home!!! read more

So, I have dined at Smokey Bones in other locations and cities and wanted to give this newly opened one at the Mall of GA in Buford a try. Both times the food was ok...could be hot when it comes out, however it appears staff is still in the training process. The staff is not as familiar as they should be with menu items and pricing. On my second visit, my service was better. I will try it again because I'm in the Mall area everyday, however, if the service and food do not get any better....I may pass. read more

Had a great lunch here. We got here at 11:00 am got the dry rub ribs chicken combo it was amazing. The sweet tea is on point. They have all these bbq sauces to sample so I got frys to dip all into. I like the Chipotle and vinager mustard the best. Also the donuts are amazing just ask to have the chocolate sauce heated!!!! read more

This was a lousy experience for all 5 of us. Four of us ate at the restaurant and suffered through extremely slow service. We waited for 30 minutes maybe longer for our drinks, a simple order of beer and sangria. At least an hour for our food that wasn't very good at all. Then to top it off was the meal we ordered to go. My Mother said that they should be ashamed to serve the food we brought home. The chicken was very over breaded and cooked, the baked potato should have been thrown in the trash, not served to anyone. The meal and drinks cost right at $150..... never again is all I can say. Save your money, go to KFC instead. Mind blown! read more

I came here with my boyfriend for a late night date, and got Shelby as my waitress who was absolutely amazing!!! She was very educated about the menu and was very patient with us being first timers. Her overall performance as a waitress was phenomenal! It got even better when the food came out! We got the loaded nacho for appetizer and some ribs and wings. After shopping all day at the mall with my daughters, we decided to grab dinner at Smokey Bones. I should have checked Yelp first. This place averaged 2 stars over 91 reviews. I agree! I got one of their burgers that came out on a bun that was falling apart and the burger itself was raw and had to be sent back. I got mashed potatoes as my side. The whole presentation was very amateurish, with a small " ice cream " scoop of potatoes. One daughter got the smoked sliced chicken that was dry and tasteless. The other daughter got the $14 Mac and cheese which did not fair much better. She said it was no better than the box Mac and cheese from the store. All the portions were pretty small for the price. The place itself is nice and the hostess and server were gracious and tried to please, but it was not enough to over come the sub par food. It's all about the food, right ? The whole operation seemed to be unorganized and it showed in the final product. My message to management would be to step up your game quickly, or shut it down ! This place is in a prime location at the mall. If they can step it up, they might actually be able to fill those tables at dinner time on a Saturday night. read more

My fist visit was not very good, food was average and high price. My second visit today took it to another level, food came late and wrong, steak was over done when asked for medium we'll, burger was not what we ordered, they were out of brisket on a holiday weekend, seemed like the kitchen staff was in a rush to close so they messed up orders. Really poor service, attitude by manager when I asked she change bar area TV to a station I wanted, Fox News. I was the only one in my half of the restaurant a Mall of GA. 15-20 TV's on and they would not honor my request. Then the food came and I got 1/3 the pulled pork shown in the menus picture and it was half fat. When I asked the manager about it she argued about it saying it was correct amount and insulted me over my complaining. Never an offer remedy situation to my happiness. $1.89 off offer was insulting. Never again will I cross a Smokey Bones threshold. read more

Most of the reviews are about service but what's going on with the food? They can have good service but if they food taste like roasted socks with jelepenos on them than I ain't got time for that.

The food is very good. If you order all you can eat ribs they will bring out the best looking meaty ribs, then the rest seem to be fatty. But I let them know I don't want fatty ribs for my refills.

From the time I walked into the door my experience here was great. It was a busy night being it was a Saturday. Once seated my family and I was greeted by a sweet young lady named Amy. She asked if it was our first time here and after saying yes immediately showed us some great recommendations. First we started off with the smoked wings and fried pickles. The wings are amazing. Even my kids loved them and they are VERY picky. Next my wife and I tried a combo where we had several options to choose from. Amy said this was the best way to try more than one item on the menu. We were so glad we listened! I had the ribs and brisket and .y wife had pork and BBQ chicken. We were told that he must try the Mac n cheese and shi glad we listened because it just melted in our mouths. Our kids had pizza and chicken fingers. It was nice that a BBQ restaurant offers different items that kids like to eat. When it was time for dessert we were told that we should try doughnuts because they were homemade and that the kids would love their fried oreos. these desserts were delicious. The oreos had cocoa krispies on them giving them a nice crunch and the doughnuts were soooo good. They offer a chocolate and raspberry sauce to dip them in. We even ordered some to take with us so we could eat them in the morning. Amy made our experience here so great. She was a wonderful server who went above and beyond. Dont forget to sign up for their Bones card too. Just from my one visit I have $10 off my next meal plus another offer that was emailed to me. Stopped by Smokey Bones today at the mall of Georgia location. I've never been to Smokey Bones before and figured i'd give it a try. My friends told me that the ribs and wings were good and since I wasn't in the mood for ribs I figured i'd give the wings a try. Walking in there was not a hostess but I could see that the restaurant was busy and there was only one server working so I didn't mind waiting. After she greeting me and apologized for the wait I sat down and looked over the menu. Let me just say THE MENU IS EXTENSIVE! And I say that in a good way. But I didn't lose focus and I stuck with the wings. My server Amber was very helpful with her suggestions and ultimately she helped me pick the smoked wings with the brown sugar sauce and of course a side of fries. The wings were AMAZING! When Amber came back to check on me, I told her how much I enjoyed them and she informed me that they have all you can eat wings ever Monday night. I almost chocked on my wing lol. I will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. She was clearly busy but my drink was never empty and she never made me feel like I was bothering her with my questions. Lastly for those thinking of stopping by, don't let others bad experiences make you second guess this place. This is my second time at Smokey Bones Mall of Georgia location. The first visit was right after they opened and was not so pleasant. The server we had was slow and spent more time talking than checking on us. But I was in the mood for some barbecue and this is definitely a better option than Sonny's or Shane's! This time around was a much better experience! When we sat down we were greeted almost immediately by our server Amber. She was very Pleasant and we felt comfortable almost immediately. After we told her we were there for barbeque she informed us about all you can eat wings that started at 9 but it was only 8:45. So she suggested we order a few beers to hold us over. Who am I to say no to beer!?! So we ordered a couple of beers and some fried pickles until 9 came around. I can't even tell you how many wings we ate but it was way too many! The smoked wings are definitely my favorite with the brown sugar sauce!!!! Amber had perfect timing, she always seemed to pop up r! ight when we were ready for our reorders and she continuously make sure we were satisfied with everything. Also I highly suggest the donuts! Although we couldn't eat them this time because we had stuffed ourselves with so many wings, I've had them before and they are AMAZING!!! Why is it that restaurants resort to every trick in the book to attract customers? They're clearly struggling to drum up business. We entered a nearly empty establishment, greeted only by a sparse crowd and promotional signs promising "buy one, get one free wings"--yet, unbelievably, they were out of wings! How does a kitchen manager fail to stock up for a wing night they're actively promoting? During our visit, the service was equally disappointing. I had to request Splenda five times, eventually retrieving it myself from the kitchen while the waiter was back there. We were seated without napkins or utensils, and even after our food arrived, the waiter had to scramble to find us utensils. It's no mystery why such places are desperate for patrons. Here's a simple tip: focus on delivering excellent food and stellar service. If restaurants can master these basics, they wouldn't need to resort to desperate promotions. Unfortunately, this seems to be a tall order for many, including big names like Buffalo Wild Wings, Cracker Barrel, and Texas Roadhouse. My fiancé and I do love the food here! That's the only reason for the star. We've tried to come numerous of times and each time we swear we will not come back again. This time we received a coupon in the mail and thought maybe this time would make it worth it. $10 off? Might as well. We were 1 of 2 tables in the entire restaurant. We had empty water glasses more than we had water. (And that is not from drinking water fast). We never once were checked on. The only chance we had to tell the server what else was needed was when he finally came over to drop our food off. And then I'm we finally flagged him down after about 15 minutes after we were done to bring the check. Also, there is an option on the menu for specialty soup and sandwich so we ordered that and chose a pulled pork sandwich with Brunswick stew. We were charged for both the soup and sandwich separate and when we mentioned it was wrong on our check our server said the side wasn't included ? what side? The Brunswick stew? Why weren't we told this when we ordered it? Or why is it called soup and salad if the soup wasn't included? This was our last time for sure. What are y'all doin over there??? There's nobody there! Was doing a little shopping and saw the billboard in the mall for Smokey Bones. I've been to the one in Stonecrest before but didn't know that there was one so close to my house. Anyways I walked in and waited for a minute since there clearly was no hostess. But I was eventually greeted and decided to sit out on the patio since the restaurant was freezing! I love their patio since it's right next to the fountain and when they light the fire pits it's really nice. My server greeted me promptly with a big smile! She asked me if i had been to smokey bones before and since it had been a while she took me through a brief tour the menu. I had tried the ribs at the one in Stonecrest and liked them so I ordered them again but in the combo meal with the sausage. My food took less than 15 minutes to come out and tasted amazing! Also I really want to make sure I comment about the service. Amber, like I said before, was very helpful when choosing my meal but she continually checked on m! e and my drink never went empty. I know it's easy sometimes for servers to forget about tables on the patio, but i never felt ignored. Anyways to make a long story short Smokey Bones really does have the best barbecue in the area and the patio area was beautiful! I will definitely be back and highly recommend to others. read more

Honestly, I give the restaurant a 3 but with the server I had, I give it a 5 out of 5. His name was Cedric and he met all me and my friends needs, he was so polite, respectful and funny as all get out! Me and my friends honestly do not like trying new restaurants but we tried it and we recommend anyone who is in the area to try it out and ask for CEDRIC. The food was amazing, and he kept us laughing, I could barely keep my food in my mouth. Never in all my life have I met a server this funny, hard working and just relaxed. The atmosphere of restaurant was so calming and family/friend friendly. I liked my server so much that I asked him to give me the most exotic drink and he requested the "freaky tiki". I was scared to try it at first because of the name but the drink was so divine and it spruced up my mood. I'm so happy he was my server because I know to ask for him so I can bring more family and friends to come join me and tip him what he deserves. I will be coming back to Smokey Bones and I will be writing a review every time I go from now on because the atmosphere and the server were that damn good guys! read more

Smokey Bones lives up to its name! My friends and I were having a girls night and decided to try this place since it was new. Our server Amy was wonderful! She helped us pick our drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert! I had a Pineapple Express and a Dragon Slayer. My friend likes beer so Amy got her to try a beer sampler so she could try some of the different beers they offer. ( ITS A LOT )They were both wonderful. Their drink menu was plentiful and I loved the options. We had smoked wings and a sampler appetizer. It had loaded nachos, loaded fries, chicken fingers and onion rings. Amy helped me amd my.friend pick what to eat for dinner. My girl Chelsea tried a chicken bacon pasta, I had a BBQ burger. It was HUGE and delicious. Chelsea's pasta was the best pasta dish I have ever tried. For dessert I got the doughnuts and Chelsea got the fried oreos. Both are to die for good. I've never tried a fried oreo in my life! They had a full bar and also played great music which is always a plus. We will be back for not only the food but to see Amy again. She made us laugh and seemed to really enjoy what she does. read more

If there was a option for 0 stars I would leave it. I ordered take out. Got there on time and my food was sitting next to the register. So far so good. The bill was about $52 so I gave the girl a $50 and a $20 bill. She did something with it and then handed it back to me. She said she thought I had given her two $50's and needed to get the manager. She was gone 10 minutes and never came back with the manager. Meanwhile there is a crowed now waiting behind me and my food is getting colder. When she came back I had found a $5,00 in my wallet and gave her the $50 and the $5 and told her to please just give me my food and she can keep the change. There were 3 bag on the counter. I asked her if all three were mine and she said no and gave me two if them. When I got home I realized the potato soup was not there (bag #3 which she said wasn't mine. The food was not good. Wings dripped with grease. Ribs were just ok. Wife's salad was limp and the desert was just ok also. I will never go back. Called the manager who never came when I was there and he said he was sorry. read more

This is a bit of a late review, but better late than never! Smokey Bones is definitely my go-to place whether I'm dining in or doing take out the food has always been fantastic! All the complaints that I see about service could possibly be true but since day one I've always made sure to ask for Amber. She's literally there all the time! But she was my server for my first experience here and ever since then I always ask for her. All i'm going to say is that she's very good at her job! But when it comes to the food here are a few things that you must try: smoked Wings, cornbread, brunswick stew, baby back ribs with brown sugar sauce, and the smoked wings. If you choose any of these items you will not be disappointed! Also they have a ginormous liquor selection! I've had a few of the mixed drinks but I prefer my drinks a little bit stronger. The bar is a great place to hang out especially if you love TVs, they literally have them all around the bar. Please make sure you give this place a try and decide for yourself whether or not it's worth it read more

If you are looking for good BBQ and Ribs this is the place to be. I had St. Louis ribs since I've never had them and they were so good. I also tried the pork, BBQ chicken and smoked wings. I created my own meal so it was nice being able to have a variety of good food. Unfortunately they were out of the brisket which tells me its so good that I need to come in earlier to try it. My waitress Amy was so cool and helped me pick out a drink I might like. I believe it was called a Dragon Slay. She was fun to talk to and even though she seemed very busy, was really good at making sure I had everything I needed. She told me that I had to try the doughnuts and I'm glad I did. There was five of them with two sauces to dip them in and I ate every single one. If you like good food, good drinks and good service this is the place to be. This location just recently opened and when we first got there it seemed as if we were forgotten about. As soon as the wait staff realized a poor experience was happening they alerted the manager who was very professional and made sure we were happy customers. The menu has so many delicious choices it's hard to just pick one. The fried pickles and crowd pleaser was a fabulous start. The Brunswick stew is fantastic. Kids portions tasty and just the right size. There were 4 of us and we each had something different. The loaded potatoe with a salad was more than one could finish. The Cuban sandwich was perfect. The brisket was tender and usually Texas toast is only cooked on one side - this hit both. AND then the dessert - OMG another treat The waitstaff was fantastic and always available for another drink or anything we needed. Definitely worth the visit . Thank you team read more

A friend of mine had told me about Smokey Bones Mall of GA several times and how much she liked the food. So I decided to order our Christmas Luncheon for work from there. Best decision I could have made!! It was delicious, the guys at work can be a bit picky, but I heard ZERO complaints other than they wish there was more of it. Nothing was left, I even ordered enough for extra and they still were asking for more after they had seconds. The manager, Robert, was so helpful in making sure I got everything I needed and that the food was ready to go on time, even helped me get it to my car. I am extremely pleased with the quality of food and level of service I received. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal! My favorite was the mac n' cheese and the fire-roasted corn....so good!!! Can't wait to take my family here next!! read more

Honestly, truly, honest to god: I never, EVER leave reviews of establishments; however, I felt the need to leave this review. In all my years in attending bars, I have never felt so welcomed to come back and the customer service is literally astounding. Nikki and Angela made me feel like more than a customer at the bar. They made me feel like family, and that's a very strong statement coming from a middle-aged man living only with a cat and a dog. I will continue to come here, even though I live ~an hour away--I live in College Park. I am going to come here over the other bars in the area because I legitimately feel like I am wanted. (Also, the drinks and the nachos are pretty bomb too). I would recommend this particular bar over Corner Tavern, Tin Lizzys, etc. for anyone who loves good, cool drinks from good, cool people. I don't get up that way often but needed to go the mall and decided to have lunch at smokey bones. I've never been to one before but I was in the mood for ribs. I was very surprised at the quality of food for it to be a chain restaurant. Being someone in the service industry, I tend to be overly critical of food and service when I dine out. My server was a blonde girl named Amanda, who greeted me with a welcoming smile. She didn't hesitate to ensure me that I would love the ribs, which I did. She was very attentive without making me feel rushed or bothered, and when it came time for the check, she made sure that I was fully satisfied and invited me back, thanking me for dining in. This is our favorite lunch spot! They have a great lunch special section, my daughters favorite thing is the smoked wings with Mac n cheese and broccoli. I always get the pulled pork sammy and it never disappoints. Alexis is always our server and is so friendly she'll always remember our order and always makes sure our blackberry lemonades are full! Which is also a drink you should try because it's delicious. Yarri the general manager always makes a point to come over and say hello no matter how busy he is and he'll sometimes hook us up with a bag of donuts just for being loyal customers! Let me start by saying that I usually do everything in my power to avoid the mall but smokey bones has made me a frequent visitor of the mall since it has opened. My server Alex and he has done nothing but make my dining experience amazing. I'm always greeted at my table by him within minutes of being seated. The entire menu is filled with great food that is sure to make you come back for more. The biggest problem I've encountered at this restaurant is if I should order the same thing or try something new! Highly recommend everyone to bring the family and get a bite or hang out with some friends, grab some drinks and watch the game. This place was amazing! Our server Amy was one of the best we have had so far! She recommended our drink a Diamond Margarita and told us we had to try the Smoked wings just the way they are. The were delicious. For our meal she told us about the Bonfire and said it was the best because we get to sample some of their specialty items on the menu. Hands down one of the BEST meals we have had in awhile. Lastly the doughnuts. Words cannot describe them! They were hot and fresh and the raspberry sauce to dip them in was unbelievable! My husband and I visited for the first time and it was fantastic! I had a pork plate and my husband tried the Brunswick stew with a pork sandwich. It was wonderful. They had several sauces to choose from! Our server Amy recommended the fried pickles to start and doughnuts for dessert! She was very helpful and friendly. My husband drinks a lot of tea and she had a new one on the table before he even finished the one he had! He was pleased with that. She also told us how we could save money next time by signing up for their Bones Club. I wanted to have a drink and she told me I had to try the Diamond Margarita. Yari is the manager that gives you the best level of customer service and professionalism for this location and Nikki is our favorite server. The food quality is always perfect when. We order anything in the menu and the drinks are the best! Every time we come in the building from the hostesses to the servers to management we have an excellent experience. We have brought several friends to get the experience of this location and they always leave raving about how great it was! If you want good food, excellent customer service and professionalism across the board you definitely need to come to this Smokey Bones location. It's great for families too!
