I went to Smog Zone solely based on all the positive Yelp reviews. Haik was very friendly and professional. I went in without an appointment, had a small 5-10 min wait until the car ahead of finished. Once It was my turn, I handed over the registration renewal notice and in about 10 minutes my car was ready!!! I really thought I'd be there for a minimum of 30 minutes! What a great surprise! Waiting room was clean, prices are great and I will definitely recommend Smog Zone to others! Thanks Haik!!! read more

I have been a loyal customer of Smog Zone for over 10 years. The owner, Haik, is a great guy, trustworthy and provides excellent customer service. He takes tremendous pride in his shop which is clean and well-organized. Smog Zone has been in business for 20 years and that say a lot these days! read more

This is the valley's best secret for smog checks. Always the best. Fast. Friendly. And affordable. Haik is always super nice and helpful. Moves quickly so you're not waiting forever. I've written multiple reviews for this place and have sent a bunch of business his way because he's that good. Worth the drive to see him. Once you do you'll be a convert like me...telling all your friends. read more

I never like getting my car smogged. But Hiak made it quick and painless. I was in and out in 10 mins. I will always go here for my smog needs!!! He was only open until noon on Saturdays but I prefer getting things like this done and over with on Saturdays anyway. I highly recommend! read more

Awesome service , took my car to get smog . It was quick and affordable . Must go check it out ! read more

This place was amazing! I came here because of the reviews on yelp and they did not disappoint. The owner was friendly and very helpful. I was in and out of here in a very short time. Great experience! Quick, easy, friendly. Space to sit outside too. I'll be back for my next smog check!

Quick and efficient! Very nice and personable people that work here and do very good work! Worker came up to me immediately while I pulled into parking lot to give me an estimate of how many cars were in front of me. Waited 10 min and walked us through the whole process. Will definitely come back again! read more

These guys are the best! I've been coming here for years, they're always fast, thorough, and super friendly and helpful. I bring all my cars here and will continue to do so! Thank you! read more

No appointment needed! Once my car was in the bay, took all of 10 minutes to complete the Smog... car passed. :-) Clean shop. Waiting area available to customers, extremely friendly. "Test Only" location which means there is no upsell on repairs/fixes because testing is all they do. read more

Yet another visit to Smog Zone for star certification and yet another visit that met/exceeded expectations just like all of my previous visits. Everyone that works there is wonderful. Friendly, fast, honest. For as long as I need to get smog checks, this is THE go to place! Thank you!!! read more

Given all the high Yelp scores, I thought there'd be a giant queue to get my car smog tested. In and out in 20-minutes--for a pre-OBDII car. As those with older, more analog cars can attest, get smogged can be a nightmare. My parents had taken my car to a different shop while I was overseas for an extended period, where they literally spent an hour and a half waiting for the tech to figure out my car, to no avail. Here I got super friendly service, almost no wait, and at a very reasonable price. Will be going here from now on. read more

I purchased a used car which I needed to get smoged. I went to Smog Zone and had an awesome experience. They checked my car and told me things I should consider doing which I was very appreciative. Very polite and fast and accurate service. I highly recommend Smog Zone to anyone. read more

Thanks again, Haik, for a great smog check experience! You are the bomb! I've been coming here for many years, and I have not been once disappointed! This year, since I was late registering to DMV, I decided to just go ahead and have him update my registration right after I got my smog check, and I got all the paperwork done plus I got the current sticker so I have no way of getting pulled over by cops. The owner, Haik, is not only awesome and knowledgeable about what he does, he is just plain good person! He wants to make sure every customer is satisfied, and it shows in his ratings. For instance, in 2013, he informed me that I did not need to smog check my car, and would not take my money, because that's just the kinda guy he is. Any other place would've just taken my money without telling me the truth! I don't see anyone wanting to go anywhere else for a smog check, period. Worth my 17 mile trip. If you are hesitating because you live kinda far away from them, it's worth the drive, especially if you live within 10 miles radius. And you need to warm up your car anyways before the smog check, so the drive is actually good for the test. read more

Hike is awesome!! Definitely will be coming back. He accommodated my smog check after calling him near closing hours and was very kind. read more

I went to Smog Zone today, as I'd had such a great experience with them the last time (see old review below). This time was just as good. It was a very easy process (and I passed - yay!). I was behind one car, but they always kept me posted as far as how long it would be, and ultimately, I don't think I was there longer than 15 minutes. Everything was so easy. I can't recommend them highly enough. Old review, from two years ago: Great experience. I haven't had to get a smog check in over 15 years, so I didn't know if it was going to be a hassle, take a long time, cost a lot, etc. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Yes, 5. And he gave me a discount, even though I couldn't get internet access to show my discount. So easy from beginning to end. Highly recommend. read more

AAAA++++ service and experience! Went to another smog test center that wasn't open at the time stated. Waited 15 minutes and started looking on Yelp. Found Smog Zone which was very close to my house. Went there, great service, friendly, very clean, wait area clean and you can observe what is going on with your car. The price was great. Will recommend to everyone!!! read more

I was in and out of this place, lightning fast. There was a nice little table outside with an umbrella to sit at while I waited. And of course I passed. Got 10% off for mentioning Yelp. Go here. It's easy to find, too. I neglected to mention in my previous review, that I own a 1990 Ford F250, an older vehicle with a gigantic engine; this truck needs evap and dyno testing, and I still paid only $60.00 in and out with my Yelp discount. Owners of older, larger vehicles should seriously consider bringing their business here. read more

This is the BEST smog check place I've been, in terms of everything. The service was friendly and lightning fast, the location was breezy, and the other customers I saw lining up were friendly and receptive to having a good experience. I think in the modern day, it's important to support places that bring people together as a community through good service everyone can agree on. I haven't felt strongly enough to yelp that much, this place compelled me to. Due to the fact that the owner is the guy serving you, I feel safe in recommending it to all. If you are nearby and need a smog check, this is the place to go. Check for coupons, too! read more

Great moment with Sam. This will be my first smog for my Camty 2011. Since I had my car fixed a day ago, Sam advised me to drive the car for at least a hundred mile or more. That will yield a better test result, he commented. As I was leaving I asked him if he owns the business. Nope, he said. Whether he's the owner or not, he took care of me like he owns the place. Truly, a star certified shop. Will be back to have my car smog by Sam with a discount from checking in on Yelp. It will be like 45 bucks. Super deal, huh? A speed up before closing around 4.15pm because I was so concerned I would not be serviced however Haik came through for me. He immediately gave me a response and I literally waited all of 25 minutes and I was out of there. Haik was quick, professional, kind and gave great words of wisdom during my check out. The price originally for my smog check was $60.00 but I paid $50.00 in which left me satisfied with Haik and the job. I've been bringing my vehicle to Haik at Smog Zone for the past 4 years. I don't trust my vehicle to just anyone. He's very kind, informative and extremely honest. He has an associate Jack who's just as helpful. They both take the time to be informative and to let me know any changes in the smog law. Let me put it this way. I took my car there for a smog at the end of September 2018. Any other smog shop owner would have ran my car for a smog test, knowing that my check engine light being on would have resulted in a automatic fail. I had no clue this was the case or that it was a new law. Haik did and he told me right away that he wouldn't run my car for a test just to knowingly fail my car, and then charge me for the fail. He told me would not do it until I got the check engine light fixed. And that I'd be welcomed to bring it back as soon as I did. He even advised me how to find out how to figure the problem out. Haik is a life saver. It's for that reason that I brought it back to him because I trust his expertise. I trust his words. He's such an honest man in a dishonest world that's just around to make a quick buck. Which then brings me to the review posted by GCMS Incorporated. What in the world? Everything in their post is full of negativity and sounds like an angry customer that knew what the results would be and ended up angry anyway, because the results weren't to his liking. Haik, Jack and staff are some of the best people to deal with. Whether Haik is there or not, staff knows what they are doing. Why? Probably because Haik knows his stuff and he shares his knowledge with his crew. Personally I really trust Smog Zone. Haik and staff are pleasant to deal with and very transparent with me and I'm sure all of the other satisfied customers out there. Anytime I've ever had a question, Haik has picked up the phone and has even worked around my work schedule several times, just to bring my car in for my convenience. For these many positive reasons above, I will continue to bring my car to him and will refer my friends and family to him, as well. You rock, Haik! Thank you Smog Zone! read more

Great service, cool people working there. Haik was super helpful and the work was fast and got the results to the DMV right away. It's usually $60 to get the smog done, but they had an online/yelp special for $15 off, so I had to go. All the good reviews were total truth. In and out in 5 minutes and I got the DMV off my back, great deal! read more

I've been here twice: first, when I needed to renew my registration (needed a smog test) and 2nd when I was transferring the car I was using to my name (it was under my aunt's). Both of my visits were fast and efficient. I'm writing only now because I want everyone to know how amazing and fast their service is. Here's the story: The first time I went here (October 2016) while they were doing a smog on my 1995 Corolla, I saw that they were offering some DMV services like registration renewal, title transfer, and the likes. I thought to myself, ok, this is interesting to know and remembered it at the back of my head. Fast forward six months, my aunt kept on nagging me to transfer the title to my name because she needed a scholarship for my cousin and she can't have three vehicles under her name. So I procrastinated and took care of it last minute. I went to two DMV offices (Culver and Van Nuys) and saw that both were packed. Not being able to schedule an appointment, I told myself that it's either I'm going to fall in line and wait 3 hours just to take care of this or find an alternative. Then, I remembered Smog Zone's DMV services and decided to give it a try. Paying for a little more to save time is what I wanted because I want to use my time wisely (by playing video games). When I arrived there, Haik helped me out and explained to me how fast things were going to get done (vs. DMV). I was impressed because I was always skeptical of going to third party services when you can go to DMV directly. Haik proved me wrong. He was very helpful and told me that they offered these services to help everyone avoid the hassle of queueing long lines at the DMV. The next time I need something taken care of, this is the place I would go to. You get every bang out of your buck. I'm about to purchase a newer car sometime this year and this is where I will have it taken care of. Thanks again Haik! You earned yourself a loyal customer. read more
