Great place, fixed plenty of cars here and always happy with the service. Definitely coming back here again to fix my car

Called over the phone to ask if I can get a smog he said he was not busy so I went in I recently purchase this vehicle and everything passed smog except the visual inspection. He told me I need to get a EO sticker or go back to stock and when I come back it would be 30$ for retest. So I paid my 71$ and went and swapped out the intake for an oem one. I came back and he put the truck on the machine and told me it didn't pass the monitor needs to be ready and that it's 50$ for a retest. I asked what I need to do he said "I don't know just drive it" I'm in a moving pass I don't know how long I'll need to drive it or anything. He does not care he's just worries about charging and moving on the the next person. Worst smog experience I've ever encountered and I've been on the road 15 plus years. read more

I have been coming here for the last few years for my Smog Check that is required every 2 years -- each time I've came, there was never a wait, and I was able to be in and out within 20 minutes max. I paid for a Smog Check and was promised a free retest incase my car would not pass. Feeling confident with his promise I went ahead and paid for the service. He tested my car and said one of the systems wasn't ready to test, so he said to drive 100 miles then come back for the retest. I did so, when I came back he hooked up the scanner and said it is still not ready to test. He counted that as a retest then said I have to pay the Smog fee again!!! What a waste of money and bad business from this shop! Avoid going here! read more

Very good prices and very efficient. I was in and out in 20 minutes and I had one car ahead of me. Tony helped me and he was very nice. I highly recommend them. read more

My car needed a smog check and yesterday I went to do it with them, very friendly and attentive and above all it was very fast

My usual slog check lace wasn't open an hour after they said they are so I went here. Quick, friendly, and professional.

Service was fast, friendly, and moderately priced. (Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive.) Taking a star off because it was honestly the messiest, dirtiest shop I've ever seen. But the work was good and the guy was very nice. read more

I've been getting my smog there for years. It's always a speedy honest and reasonable prices With Toni. I was delighted to recently find out that they do general repairs as well. They just redid my suspension and fixed a bunch of other things on my Mini which is not an easy car to work on. His mechanic Minh is super sharp and they're both very helpful and honest and everything turned out great. He will be my main mechanic going forward for sure. Thank you guys for the great service. read more

Has a smog check today. Service was quick and efficient. Price is similar to other places.

I called on Saturday afternoon and was slotted in, even though they closed at 3:00. Tony also adjusted the timing and idle speed on my 1995 Lexus SC300. Excellent service and very fair price. read more

Tony and his coworker here at Precision Smog are truly 5 stars all the way! The smog tests here are quick and easy and accurate. Tony is a pro and is very humble and honest. You don't need an appointment to come in for your test. If your car or cars should happen to fail smog, he does incredibly thorough estimates and his work is priced very fairly, and he will repair your vehicle and have you on your way in no time. The laughing Buddha on his desk is also the perfect touch! - Nothing but good vibes and honest energy here! Super quick at this smog spot. Tony was extremely nice and I lucked out that no one was before me. I thought this was great for 5pm on a Thursday. The shop is a little hard to find, because you can't really see it from the street. With their coupon, I left paying $32 for everything. read more

Last December it was time for another smog test, and the place I used previously no longer was in business, so I decided to check out Precision after reading decent reviews online. This place was super convenient, friendly, and I was in and out of there within about 30 minutes or so. I will definitely be back for the next one. read more

I just felt compelled to write an update on my previous review. I would greatly recommend you bypass this place as the shop owner is a total crook! I came here a few months ago with a muffler problem. My car was making some noise as if air was leaking from somewhere. I took it in at this shop and the mechanic says it was a crack underneath the catalytic and that it needed some welding. I said okay, how much? And he told me it would be $180! My heart nearly stopped when he told me the price but then he gave me estimates of how much it would cost me elsewhere, and since I was short on time I said fine. It took him hours to do what he said was going to be done. When I arrived, he still had me wait for another 30 minutes. Long story short, the car was not really fixed. After a few weeks the noise had come back and it was actually louder. He only gave me 30 days warranty on the work so my warranty was expired. I took it to another mechanic for another look and he told me that there was no sign of any previous work having been done to the car at all. No welding or anything else. This other mechanic did the welding where it had to be done and my car has worked fine ever since. So please, if you do not want to be lied to, or punked into doing very expensive work to your car that will actually not ever be done avoid this mechanic at all costs. He is a liar, and a thief. read more

Nice guys. Nothing fancy. My car failed the check and they offered a recheck for $10. Felt fair.

I was at this smog facility in Van Nuys, CA few days ago to have my car smog tested. This business is charging too much (about $50) and is very dishonest. The technician did all three tests: Visual, Functional, and Emission. He knew that the FUNCTIONAL Test will FAIL because the ODB system in my car was "not ready" (showed Catalytic and Evap sensors incomplete), but he still went ahead with the emission test. Although the emission test passed, overall the smog test FAILED because the functional test failed, and the technician asked me to pay. I've been to other Smog Test centers and they usually check the ODB system first to make sure it's "Ready" before continuing with the emission test and they will tell you up front to save you money. But Precision Smog Test Only station is taking advantage of consumers knowing that the functional test will FAIL(ODB not ready or the check engine light is ON or there is an error code found) and trying to rip off customers. The technician has an ODB code reader (electronic device) that can check the status of ODB system or any error codes in your car. If he was honest and wanted to help me save money, he should have informed me up front that the ODB system is not ready for the functional test and should advice me to drive more miles to get the ODB system ready and come back in few days for the actual smog test. Because of his greed, he did not. I do NOT recommend this smog station because of the above reasons. With their high price, dishonesty, unprofessional treatment, and unethical and unfair business practices, I hope this business will loose customers and eventually shut down. read more

Tony is an unassuming Asian man who runs an efficient, no-fuss (or frills) shop. I took my Corolla in for smog cert and wasn't hassled for anything more. I WILL go back. I also paid $20 less for a smog test--including cert--at Precision than I paid last year at a nearby shop. read more

My mom has been coming to Tony for a couple of years to get both her cars smog tested. Saying that if this place was anything but great she wouldn't have recommended me to come here. I came in for the first time a few days ago and Tony was really friendly and efficient in getting my car tested. The price for the smog test was also great! I've read in the reviews that his place is hard to find but I didn't have any problems finding it, FYI there's a sign with the name of the place on top of the garage door. Thank you Tony! read more

This was my first time having a great experience at a smog place. The owner Tony is super cool even though he's a Broncos fan and not Raiders lol. We talked sports for a few minutes next thing he said I was done and ready to go. Talk about great service at a fast paste. Keep up the great work Tony I'll see you next time for sure. Plus $35 can't beat that price only compete. read more

This place is great. I've been going to it for the last 5 to 6 years. I take my cars and when my dad drove I would take his car here for a Smog check. The owner is friendly and honest. I always go online and print his coupons. I don't write too many reviews but I was looking up his address for my sister today and looked and saw some reviews about overcharging and repairs. Those people have no idea about which shop they're talking about. He only does smog check. If you live close or just want a really good price on a smog check, go here. If you don't mind paying a little more and don't want to drive out of your way go someplace else. read more
