It only took 15 minutes, and not only he did a professional, smooth job on my car, he noticed that I had a leak and highly suggested that I take my car to a mechanic and get the leak fixed which is coming from a water bleeder. My car is old, and I wish he could have fixed it. He said, if he could, he would. They only do smog check and that is about all. Place is CLEAN, few chairs to sit, and work is done/complete! Once the Groupon expired, they suddenly replied and said they'd accept the voucher--but only if I paid an additional $50. When I followed up with proof of my outgoing calls (no responses from them) and text attempts, their response was dismissive and rude. The lady on the phone literally told me I "should've called them more" and showed zero responsibility for ignoring me earlier. They took no accountability and just wanted more money out of me. We use Groupon specifically to save, not to get ripped off like this. Warning to everyone: Don't waste your money on deals from this place. They ignore your attempts to redeem, let the voucher expire, then demand extra cash. Terrible customer service and shady practices. Showed up at 9:06 (Saturday morning) there was already someone getting their car tested. I checked in with Sam and I was next in line. I was done within 20 minutes. It was a breeze. Then he informed me that he was at the dentist. will not be returning until 11:15. Had been working with this shop to have my car pass smog for over a year now. It needed a new cadillac converter that was unavailable. It took some time to acquire and purchase and install this part. After the shop reported that the emissions control was tampered with, it was unavailable to be dealt with anywhere else. Finally, when all repairs were completed and ready for inspection and testing. The shop refused. The rep said. Oh, I remember you, and I have the right to refuse to test your car again. You will need to have it tested somewhere else, I will not want to lose my license over this. They claim that if it fails, we will retest. However, rather than retesting it, they assumed that I fraudulently manipulated the exhaust system to pass. After taking it to another shop, it passed in 5 minutes. Do not waste your time at this facility. Kudos to Union Discourt Tire the and In & Out Smog in Burbank for completing my test with no hickups. Strongly recommend them. best recommendation is to stay away from Union Smog in North Hollywood.
