I went to Studio Smog yesterday and Vic took good care of my car. It was fast, quick, affordable and hassle free. Vick knows his job well and was very professional, approachable, personable and friendly. It only took 15 minutes, and not only he did a professional, smooth job on my car, he noticed that I had a leak and highly suggested that I take my car to a mechanic and get the leak fixed which is coming from a water bleeder. My car is old, and I wish he could have fixed it. He said, if he could, he would. They only do smog check and that is about all. Place is CLEAN, few chairs to sit, and work is done/complete! He made my day and I left the shop feeling fulfilled and happy. Thanks Vick. Will be back a year after; since as we all know smog check is required every other year!! read more

I do not recommend this place for a smog check. They don't have the proper equipment to perform the test, yet they charged me anyway just for 'trying.' I ended up paying $56.75 for nothing. This is very dishonest service. Right after leaving, I went to Dr. Smog N Lube Auto Clinic in Burbank, and they handled it without any problems. read more

Came here after delaying a smog check for a hot minute. On a Monday afternoon with no appointment, I just showed my smog paperwork from the DMV and waited about 4 mins for them to go through scanning and verifying the paperwork for them to tell me to just take a seat and the check would be over quickly. It took about 10 minutes only for me and was $75 total with fees etc. They send over the pass score to the DMV immediately so you can then just pay your online registration and get your tags in a few business days! But when I went to Vic he took the time to give me clear, thorough instructions on how to successfully reset my monitor, and gave me recommendations on where to drive in LA to avoid traffic. Where should I start ? I found him on Yelp but with all honesty I went to 2 others that claimed to be open until 6pm and by 5:30/545pm these other places were already closed. He's Open until 7pm weekdays / honors the set times and willing to wait if you are running late if you ask nicely. Have been coming to this location for at least close to 20 years and after this last visit I need to write a review because the newest owner, Vick, is personable, professional and is a master mechanic. He has also cleaned up the place so if you are waiting it doesn't feel like you are waiting in a greasy shop. He doesn't price gouge like so many other places these days and if you need a smog - well worth the visit even if you have to come to Studio City specifically. If you have to wait at all there is also a library across the street. read more

I needed a smog check for my car registration renewal and was down to the last minute and found this place. They stay open until 7pm, which was helpful because I hate showing up somewhere right before they close. Victor was awesome, really nice, helpful, and had me smogged and out the door in about 15 minutes because there was no line and he was pretty quick. He explained how everything was transmitted electronically directly to the DMV, so I was good to go. It was also not expensive either. Found this place down the street from my house and when I called, Vick was friendly and informative about the smoke check deal online that didn't require the physical coupon, just a mention. When I arrived, Vick greeted me with a smile and got started right away. The smog check process only took about 5 minutes and had a spot for me to sit while I wait.
