They helped me with my smog test it did not pass, so I got the Gap program from the state of California and they help me with my repair, Purrfect Auto did an outstanding job. They put in a new Intake Manifold Assembly, Manifold Gasket Set, replace all new transmission oil they did the whole transmission service And then I finally passed the smog inspection. I've been meaning to service my Lexus for brakes, transmission oil, and control arms and bushings. The dealer gave me the diagnosis and I returned here to Puurrffect Auto: Studio City for all of the necessary maintence. My boyfriend who has now passed away kept saying, Sophie when are you going to service yr car? I haven't been able to really sleep or eat: life is just a blur. But I was determined to do what he asked bc it reminds me of him. So in this delicate emotional state, I brought my car in. I drove up and they got started on my vehicle. They were exceptionally wonderful with me. They sensed I was feeling some kind of way and treated me very gently. These guys are awesome. i brought my 60's muscle car in for brake work and a gasket change. Their work is impeccable, which is important for me, as I'm super picky about this car. They came in on time, under their original quote and replaced my water pump for no extra charge. I've recommended Purrfect Auto to some of my friends and they were impressed as well. Absolutely incredible. Andy and his team are extremely trustworthy and have changed the game in auto service. As a woman, it is refreshing to be treated with respect and grace at an auto shop. I was selling my car the day I came in. I had a check oil light -- which I was confused about considering I had just gotten an oil change. Volkswagen, the dealership, wasn't even willing to look at it briefly. It would have of course been a $160 diagnostic fee to just tell me something basic. Dealerships are a joke. Purrfect Auto Shop, on the other hand, is saving lives. He quickly fixed my oil issue, essentially free of charge, by giving me a new oil refill (synthetic oil at the grade I needed) and a complimentary windshield wiper refill as well. He charged me $20. So my car would not pass smog. My mechanic told me about the BAR program thru the DMV. I applied and was approved but had to go to the mechanic they chose, not mine. Okay, so I looked up a bunch, compared all of the State's recommended and chose Purrfect to do my repairs. These guys couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious to help me out. After all was said and done, not only did they fix my 2005 BMW X3, passed the smog test and had me back on the road in just a few days. In LA, I am always skeptical of high-end auto repair facilities because they prey on the unknowing, well-off auto owners. These guys are not like that as they are humble from start to finish. This is not like your typical service center. These guys listened to me and cared about our auto issues. Kate and Karlen were jewels from the intro to the time she picked up her car. My daughter told me that they were consistent in her previous experiences. Most do not want to hear what the customer had to say. My car had some serious issues. Serge was able to get the car restored. He replaced the catalytic converter as the previous one was no good. He replaced the check engine light cluster as the previous owner pulled it out. This was in issue because my car couldn't pass the smog. He saved me a lot of money. He's a knowledgeable guy. Was totally honest and open with me. He communicated well. Would take pictures of the work he did since it took a couple days. Took it to the smog shop for me and showed me the certificate. After being scammed by the dealership, we took our 2019 Honda Civic here because our AC wasn't working properly. The dealership had quoted us $3000 to replace the air compressor. The folks at Purrfect Auto Service said the air compressor just needed to be flushed and refilled ($150 total). It's been working great ever since. Service was quick and I felt like they were honest and straightforward. Highly recommend this place. read more

I went in for a coolant leak, was told after a pressure test that the issue was the water pump. On the 3rd business day ( first pump they ordered was apparently defective ), I was informed my car was ready. $358 parts and labor. According to my invoice I was charged $85 for water pump part no 41142 - this same part is listed on Rockauto.com for $24.79, Amazon.com for $36.32. After 24 hours, I noticed the coolant leak had re-occurred. Was now told that the radiator was cracked and needed to be replaced, yet somehow this was overlooked through the initial pressure test and subsequently after the pump was replaced. I noticed when I got the car back that the coolant reservoir was already only half full. Was quoted $269.95 for a new radiator / $185 labor, rockauto starts at around $80 for a new radiator. I would have appreciated more communication and at least been given the option if there were choices in parts, but each employee was rather short in communication throughout my whole experience. read more

They took off the tire, put air, checked for leaks, but could not find anything. May just have been due to the weather after all. In insisted to pay as their tech was working in the rain but the owner insisted it was Free and that i can pay next time. Very kind. DON'T GO! They stole money from my closed center consul and all the 1 dollar coins and quarters. I bartend and I have to pay for parking. It's cash only so I always leave the amount of money I need to park for work for the week in that center consul so I don't have to go to the atm. I just put in a few extra singles in to the consul and called the shop because they didn't fix the problem. They told me it was the alternator but it wasn't because I still have the problem. They asked me to bring it in and leave it. You're checking the engine there is zero reason to be in my car let alone in the closed center consul. Well, when I get the car I go to the store, pay with cash and have some singles to add to the consul for parking. Low and behold EVERYTHING but 3 singles is gone. Then I check the change and yup most of that and my tweezerr are gone. I call immediately and they say... Oh the mechanics have left. We will call you tomorrow. I call again today and they say oh... didn't so and so call you. I was like no... If he had I wouldn't be calling. He was like they all said they didn't take it. We think it was the technician we called into look at your car. I'm sorrry. Next time you come in, I'll give you a good discount. WHY WOULD I COME BACK!!! How is that "taking care of me" Terrible just terrible. read more

Purrfect Auto is one of the best mechanic shops in LA and by far the best one in the valley. I've been taking cars to them for many years (nearly a decade!) and they are always kind, courteous, honest, professional and fast. Andy, Kate & Karlen are all very nice and ready to help. They always tell you up front what the costs will be and are very helpful and understanding, setting my mind at ease. I trust them. I've taken in my old cars and newer cars and I always get the car back better than expected. I bought a used Toyota last year and I needed it inspected and smog certified and I immediately headed to Purrfect Auto to have it checked out. Andy had to do some work on it and had it back to me in just a few hours! After buying the car, I was on a tight budget, and worried it was going to cost me a lot to get it smog ready. Andy explained exactly what repairs I needed done, what was a priority, and he worked exactly within my budget and even changed my burned out taillight for me, in just a few minutes. He helped me feel confident in my new (used) car. A 2005 Toyota RAV4. Got an oil change, too! The car came back clean and ready to roll, smog certified and good as new. My A/C just went on the fritz and I am going to see Andy & Kate ASAP to get it assessed and fixed. I called Kate and she just said, "bring it in, we can help!" A truly kind person.
