Not sure if it is a coincidence, but 10 hours after eating here, my 9 year old spent the next 6 hours throwing up... seems like it is time for an overhaul of the management of this location as it is bringing down the perception of what is normally thought of as a quality chain. read more

Good burgers. Not a fan of the bacon cheese burger, the bacon is always dry and I always just take it out. Also, sometimes the meat isn't all the way cooked through, but I'm sure the meat is a good quality...but still I don't like pinkish red meat :/ . Restaurant was super disorganized, tables didn't have napkins, it was hard to find a clean table, they messed my order up the first time it came out, and they didn't have any ingredients. When we first ordered, they informed us that they didn't have haystack onions, pickles, cheddar or milkshakes. Somehow, our burgers came out both cold and over cooked which was very unpleasant to eat. Our fries and Brussel sprouts were absolutely coated with grease, more than usual. The table across from the kitchen looked like a homeless person lived there for a while. It had bins, bags, silverware, etc. not a great thing to look at after we ordered. I think the cleanliness could be excused had the food been at least descent, but it just wasn't, so I can't recommend this restaurant, go eat at a local restaurant nearby. read more

We have had several poor service experiences at this smash burger location. If the food was exceptional, then the prices would have been reasonable. Unfortunately, our meals were incorrect (even burnt) and missing basic items like sauces and silverware. Also, they were completely out of ice cream for shakes (during lunch hours) and the staff was not at all apologetic or professional in their attitudes concerning the situation. First time I've eaten at Smashburgers. The service was excellent and the facility very clean, both dining area and eating area. Ordered 2 big Classic burgers, 2 fries and 2 onion strings. The food was outstanding. Among the best burgers I've had. And while we were eating, we were visited by staff to ensure we were satisfied. What great customer service. They were "out of milkshakes" and turned away customers behind us because they were so backed up in the kitchen. Another sad case of understaffing in a mountain town. We finally made it to this Colorado-based burger chain and we shouldn't have waited so dang long! I was quite happy to get the option of a smaller 1/3-lb burger on a whole wheat bun with cheese and a pile of fresh veggie toppings for just $4.99. Sometimes I just crave a plain old classic burger with American cheese and this one totally hit the spot. I love the flatter, smooshed style because it makes an easier-to-eat burger. It was a little greasy but absolutely delicious and worth a serious hand washing afterward. In spite of a line, we were in, ordered, seated, fed and out the door in less than 30 minutes - exactly what we were looking for on our pit-stop since we had more driving ahead - and just $15 for two burgers and a shared order (plenty for two people) of the salty rosemary sweet potato fries. Everyone working was friendly and seemed geared toward keeping things clean and efficient. I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner since we rented a ski house minutes away for 5 months last winter, and we were burgerless that whole time for no good reason. read more

Service was fine and the wait time for our food was certainly reasonable and the Colorado burger tasted as it should have but I couldn't relax and enjoy my meal as I thought it was only a matter of minutes before a health inspector showed up and shut the whole place down.
