It's Wendy's. You can't get too excited about Wendy's. However, it's a a nice enough place to grab lunch for cheap along I-70. Tables and bathrooms are clean, employees are efficient, and while it will never be something to write home about, their burgers and sandwiches are decent and their fries are reliably tasty. I'm sure there's better options in Silverthorne, but this isn't a bad choice for a quick road trip stop. read more

You can't even get a decent hamburger from Wendy's anymore at least at this location.. went lnside and ordered "to-go" from the counter.. when I got home was shocked my single burger that had wilted lettuce, No tomato, and looked like the bun had been stepped on.. me and my boyfriend went through drive through after a long day of skiing and were excited to get some food after a long day. we asked for chicken tenders and were rudely answered with "no tenders" in an annoyed tone. we then asked for 2 spicy chicken sandwich combos with a frosty for each meal. when we got to the window we only got 1 sandwich and fry (along with no receipt). we told them we ordered 2 meals and they charged us another $10 (gave a receipt that time ) but not another fry with the meal. tried to gaslight us into thinking we only asked for one meal, very frustrated with the service and how we were treated. food was at least decent i guess. never coming here again! read more

Curiosity got the best of me here because where I come from Wendys does not have breakfast, and now I know why. It needs plenty of work. At least most or all the the fast food joints offer their sandwiches on a biscuit or an english muffin or a croissant. Their 'featured' Biggie Breakfast sandwich is prepared on a boring hamburger bun. Yes they have a few biscuit sandwiches but they need to step it up for their main sandwich. Come on Dave you can do better! The sandwich had bacon, egg, cheese and sausage on the boring bun. It would have been so much better on something other than a bun. Plus I had to wait about five minutes. This place is right off of the exit ramp next to a Dunkin D and a very pricy gas station from the Interstate and is more convenient than Mickey D or BK. Stopped in for a quick meal on the way home to visit family on Christmas. I was greeted with the grumpiest employee working at a fast food establishment I've ever encountered. This gentleman was mid 30s and a little more heavy set. I asked how their day was and got a grumpy reply of what do you want to order. I then don't hear him when he asks for my order name and he immediately gets louder and more grumpy in his next reply. The food was great and so was the gal handing out the food. I'm going to do it... I've randomly been here twice in two weeks while passing through on our way to Steamboat. We have a huge fifth wheel and we are able to park in the lot here. Also, once you figure out the touch screen system it is really the way to go. Who wants to talk to people anyways? :) The food came out as expected. It's fast food, it tasted like fast food. Worst Wendy's ever bathrooms are disgusting food took forever and we're out of ketchup

We stopped at this Wendy's because it was on the easy side of the street to get a tall iced tea. As I approached the counter at 5pm on August 9, two counter people were talking with one another, even though a customer, me, was standing in front of them. They continued talking until another person behind the counter, whom I believe was the manager but didn't identify himself as such, made a point to these to servers that they had a customer. We're off to a bad start. I was asked what I would like and I said, "Two large iced teas please." To that, the response was, "Huh?" So I said more slowly, with hand jesters, "Two large iced teas." She understood and said I owed $5.61. I was flabbergasted and said I can get a large iced tea from Mc Donalds for $1 plus tax to which the counter person said, "But this is a size that Mc Donalds doesn't offer." Wow, this must be some very big cup, since it is 2.5 times more expensive than their competition. If you can believe the Internet. A large drink at Wendy's is 42 ounces. So that drink costs 6 cents per ounce plus tax. McDonald's large drink is indeed smaller at 32 ounces, or 3.1 cents per ounce plus tax. So even though Wendy's does indeed have a larger drink than a Mc Donalds large drink, the drink at Wendy's is almost 2 times more expensive. But on with my story. I took the two very large cups and went over to get iced tea. No sweet tea. Another strike. My spouse filled up her cup with the unsweetened tea, which she prefers, and it was my turn. Unsweetened tea it would be, but before my cup was 3/4 full, the tea ran out. I was able to coax a few more drops out of the unsweetened container before the tank was dry. Strike three. Guess I should have filled my cup up to the top with ice. Then there might be enough unsweetened tea to fill the cup to the top. I'll never know. Really not a happy camper at this point. When I went to sit down with my spouse, the table looked like it hadn't seen a wet clean-up rag in many an hour. Strike four. Oh, forgot to mention that I said to the person taking my order that I wouldn't eat at another Wendy's, period. She had no response. So this is the last Wendy's review from me that you will see. read more

Waited over 20 minutes for two grilled chicken sandwiches and some fries. Husband thinks it was closer to thirty, but we didn't track exactly so I'll just say "over 20 minutes." This Wendy's is right off the freeway. We still have three hours to travel, so losing that kind of time not only ruined the rest stop but has cramped us for the rest of the drive. Had we not been choking down the chicken sandwiches like it was a food contest, I would have said they were good. The guy getting the order ready tried to make it better by giving us the one chicken sandwich for free that had been sitting on the tray getting cold, making up two fresh ones. After tearing up Copper Mountain as much as we could stand it for opening day today (until the heat and crowds got to us), we were darn hungry and had to feed ourselves before driving back to D-town. I heard the siren song of the baconator, so we ended up at Wendy's. I know. I know. It's Wendy's. Your expectations can only be so high when you're eating fast food. We started reminiscing about the day of the baked potato bar and the much-sought-after chili, which in my grown-up state just doesn't seem tasty. I don't eat a lot of fast food, but it should be a fast and cheap way to fill up, yes? I was shocked to see that 2 their "healthy" dishes - like a baked potato and chili - start at $5.40. So, if I got a baked potato and a Dasani water, it would be $5.40. What happened, Wendy's? I guess it's inflation, but I'd rather spend that on deli sandwich or a gyro or something. After we ate our meals, my BIL summed it up quite nicely. "Well, that was the most unsatisfying Wendy's experience I've had." (Or something quite like that.) I agree. My baconator was lukewarm upon arrival and cold after two bites - but I was hungry so kept eating. Fries were good, as expected, but that's about all I can say. It's really good during the day, but of course, up in the mountains, the 99-cent shit are like $1.39. Still good though. However, do NOT come here after 8pm unless you are drunk or high. The food seriously sucks ass. The hamburgers are always cold, and the fries taste like they've been sitting under heat lamps all night, they're dry and flat. I went last night, and there was a manager and I thought to myself, "Oh good, maybe he'll make sure everyone gets their shit together and prepare the food fresh n hot." Yeah, I was wrong. Ice-cold burger. Yummy. It's only good during the day here... I've gone by here at night 3 times, and each time it was cold... needless to say, I won't be coming back after 8pm... sucks because sometimes I get off work so late and they're usually the only fast-food restaurant that I like that's open. A very CLEAN location right off I-70. Normal Wendy's food with pretty good service. NEW mute-product coke machines are a hit with the kids. Restrooms clean. Right in the middle of the factory shops so an easy place to eat while shopping. read more

Mmm, I can't help it but I love Wendy's! Easily my favorite fast food restaurant. Their burgers are even better since they changed them around 18 months ago to be thicker and juicer. The only down side is the burgers that are on the dollar (or a little more?) menu are still the older style of thinner burgers so you have to purchase the combo meals to get them. I'm also not a huge fan of their new, thick cut fries but the deliciousness of a Hot n' Juicy Half Pound Double cheese burger more than makes up for it. If it's chain restaurant fast food burgers that you are looking for, give good ol Wendy's a try! read more
