My friends and I used to love this place. Not anymore. Today I placed a Doordash order, and the burger wasn't even hot. They obviously pre-cooked it, then thru it son grills to warm. I knew they were going to do that, cause it was 4:45 when I ordered it. When I called female manager about it, she said to ask for a refund from Doordash. Great solution Smashburgers. I've been wanting to try Smashburger for a long time. There aren't many in LA so I was glad to find them here in Aurora. Smashburger, just the name makes you want to try one. It's a nice clean, open environment. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There's also an app so you can order ahead and have them take the order out to your car. I went for the classic single smash and the regular smash fries. It was a substantial burger and I was plenty full after eating it along with the fries. I'd suggest eating there if you can or eat it in your car as soon as you get it because by the time we got home, only five minutes away, the fries were soggy and the burgers were barely still warm. That happens. It's not their fault. It's a really good burger and I'm sure the fries are awesome when they are hot and crispy. I went there with my dad. He's a picky eater and he loved his classic single Smashburger and the strawberry shake. It's a tad pricey, but not any more than any other premium burger establishment. For two classic single Smashburgers, one order of regular smash fries, and a strawberry shake, it was $24.69, not including the tip. I noticed when I got home, the price on the screen was not the same as the receipt (I took a picture of it for my Yelp review). The register display showed a total of $22.20. We were overcharged by $1.83. One star off for that. They have a nice variety of burgers, and you can substitute beef for chicken or turkey, even black bean. In addition to that, they have some salad options. I'll be going back for sure. Next time I'm going to try one of their specialty Smashburgers. The food is very flavorful and good portions, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices are agreeable. A classic is only about 90 cents more than a whopper from burger king but it's a little bigger, and way juicier and tastier. Definitely worth the value. The restaurant inside is pretty standard for a quick, sit down/take out place. This location has a small outdoor area on the side. The parking lot is nothing nice to look at though. read more

With all the hoopla around the opening of In & Out Burger, located near the Mall at Aurora Town Center, we decided to skip the 2-3 hour line and try Smashburger. My husband had eaten there once and said it was good. Our desire was to do curb side pick up, so we did a phone in order and payment. I requested a specific pick up time, and was accommodated nicely. I was ordering for four people. Two Avocado Bacon Burgers, one BBQ bacon cheddar burger, and one classic burger. Sides were an assortment of regular fries, sweet potato fries, and Brussels sprouts, All of the burgers were tasty. The buns were whole grain and nice and puffy. The one disappointment were the Brussel sprouts. They were cooked nicely, but were so salty that we threw them away. All in all, we will return and try again. I do plan to stop in an give them a personal review on the Brussel Sprouts. It is a shame with food is over salted. read more

This place is a joke, placed an order for a burger and wasn't aware it came with cheese. So I called within two minutes of placing my order online and was told the burger is already made and they cannot take the cheese off. I asked how this can be resolved, Mildred said that I'd have to order a new burger because they won't take the cheese off nor make a new burger. I owned up to my mistake and asked what we can do to resolve the issue because my coworker is allergic to cheese, she did not want to help at all. Was very rude throughout the whole conversation. Claimed she was management and still didn't help at all. I asked to just cancel the order, she said we can't cancel it but you can come in for a refund. I said okay I'll be there for a refund, then she says I can't go in for two hours because the system is down.. and they can't take any orders or refund anything. Customer service is very poor here, all I wanted was for the cheese to be taken off TWO minutes after placing an order. Mildred should look into a job with no customer contact, maybe a warehouse? I really like the food at Smashburger but when i order via doordash my order is always incorrect. Ok, so I've been wanting to try Smashburger for quite some time because, as most from California (and from in AZ from where I moved), I'm spoiled by In-N-Out. I tried Goodtimes a couple of times, and if you must read about my experience about their sharp foil (see review), read away. So onto Smashburger. I want to say that Smashburger's "catch phrase" if you will- is contradictory and I'll explain that in a minute- but first onto ordering. I just order a classic Smashburger, with fries, and a drink. My order was over 9 bucks....liiiiiiiitle more than I wanted to spend on lunch. Anyway, I wait and get my burger and fries - and both are delicious, so don't get me wrong. Their fries tossed with rosemary, garlic, and olive oil are soooooo good. I was wondering what this mysterious sauce was on my burger and checked their menu- and apparently its called "smash sauce" (go frickin' figure), which, surprisingly, was the only thing I DIDN'T like about my burger. The meat was good and fresh veggies and such. So onto the contradiction, I was reading their cup and their "catch phrase" is "smash. sizzle. savor"....or something to that effect. So the Smash is apparently they "smash" the burger while cooking....doesn't everyone and their mom know that smashing a burger will dry it out while cooking? Well, they must not smash very well cause the burger was delicious and moist. Sizzle is something about their service I think??? And savor is something regarding being able to get a burger for a reasonable price. Well, let me tell you, just the burger alone was 5 bucks. Not cheap. So I might go back to smash burger ....but they need to rethink their burger prices. read more

Smashburger? Weird name, but great place to grab a burger . . . a really great burger. This is my second visit to a Smashburger and it was as good or better than the first time. (Some things are just better the second time around.) First time was at the Broadway location for a special event. I was hooked that very night. This Smashburger location is next to the Kinko's/ Fedex that I patronize on a fairly regular basis. When I first realized there was a Smashburger in this location I was coming out of Kinko's and they were replacing the front door & window. This is one of my favorite burger places. The side dishes, especially the sweet potato smashfries, keep me coming back. The sweet potato fries are covered in olive oil, garlic, and rosemary. I have also enjoyed the Fried Pickles, veggie frites, and haystack onions, all of which were delicious. I still want to try the smash fries, which have the rosemary olive oil concoction. The Spicy Baja comes with a chipotle bun, chipotle mayo, and fresh jalapenos. I almost wish they had side of chipotle bun, it is so good by itself. The burgers have always been juicy, and go great with the beer or wine you can include with the meal. I also enjoy the create your own smashburger, where you can specify the bun, cheese, sauce, and toppings. They even have a card where you can check all your favorite options, and hand it to the person at the register. I have built several of my own smashburgers, but they have never been quite as good as their BBQ Bacon & Cheese or Spicy Baja. But it sure is fun to try. read more

I love Smashburger but the service here is continually awful. I once witnessed a counter person walk out before I could get my food. Since what looked like the manager chased after her-there was noone to give customers their orders when the cooks put them in the window. I saw my order come up, asked the clueless looking cook if I could take it since it was my order and was then harangued by the 2nd cook who appeared midway out of my exit. Another time we went and the place was closed before its posted hours. This last time the place is almost empty,there's noone at front counter to take orders. What looks like an employee appears and lets me know she'll take my order in a second, she reappears a solid 3 times without acknowledging me and looking like she'd rather not take my order at all and that's when I gave up on this place for the final time. This store is so far my favorite smash burger store. Service is good, the burgers are even better, and the speed is the best. I read some reviews saying that it took them like 25 mins to get their burgers, but coming here for several times, I think their burgers come out super fast. This location is sub par at best. I live down the street so I purchased the smash pass which gives you one free entree a day for 100 days. Needless to say, I visited this location frequently. The dining area is almost always dirty and the staff are always rude. They never speak to you, they look at the ground and mumble which is very strange. Also, out of all the times I've visited I'd say my order is wrong at least 75% of the time. When one particular young lady is working, this figure goes up to 100%.
