    * The Double Smash burger was great - the buns were incredibly soft, the cheese was gooey, and the beef had a nice smashed crust with crispy edges * The fries were nicely seasoned and crunchy and the SM sauce that came with it was delicious blend of sweet and tangy * Overall, a delicious spot in downtown L.A. that has friendly service and is reasonably priced for its location

We've been starving for some new food options in our neck of DTLA, particularly this little strip mall where restaurants don't seem to last terribly long over the past couple years, but my boss passed by today and said that they were open so he came over, and unfortunately, he's vegetarian so they don't have any options for him, but for me, their menu is limited, but their prices are very fair for smash burgers let alone Smashburger's in DTLA. Smashed and charred edges to perfection, with good taste. Simple, but tasty! The fries are shoestring, but also cooked perfectly crispy and topped with a little spice and a little drizzle. The Egg Roll Burger... it is in fact an Egg Roll w the Smashburger ingredients inside. Tasty and I'd get it again for a change-up, but the better value (and flavor) is in their burgers. Super nice crew, not much ambience inside and they're still having some opening day glitches, but I do foresee us in my office frequenting this location

A Double Smash Burger, good lacing and tasty!!!

On a whim and to have a snack before going out to dinner later, my girlfriend and I decided to walk next-door to a newly opened restaurant on the ground floor of the building we are staying in... This would be "Smash Masters," a spartan and clean restaurant that really only has one or two things on the menu: smash burgers and something they have created eponymously called an eggroll smash burger. No chicken. No pork. Just beef smash burgers... And let me tell you, they are excellent burgers, what with the patties being extremely thin and smashed so as to get that lacing we all love protruding out of the soft potato bun. They come w pickles, cheese, onions and sauce. Perfect. Something we were not expecting to crow about are their french fries which are as good as any I've ever had at a smash burger joint. Thin, crispy shoe string fries nicely and not overly seasoned w some kind of Lawry's Seasoning Salt that just makes them sing. The smash sauce here is good, nothing remarkable, and maybe a tad looser than I'd like, but damn serviceable too. These are smash burgers of the highest order! Get here.

    This sauce is so good!

You better bring it if you name yourself Smash Masters. This new Smash Burger spot in DTLA does just that. Straigh . Delicious burgers at a great price and excellent friendly and welcoming service. Come support these guys, we really need more options like this. Get the Double Smash meal at only $15 and you will be amazed at the quality and taste for a very reasonable price. You will walk out full and completely satisfied.

This appears to be a brand spanking new place. It bright and clean. It was quite empty. I ordered a #1 with bacon plus fries and a drink. The attendant was quite friendly. He made sure I was good that my fries coming with smash sauce. My food was quickly made. It was modestly sized burger, in retrospect I should of ordered a double. I would encourage them to offer a triple, though it appears you can a la carte add a patty to a double. The patty is plenty smashed with a lot of mallard goodness. Great flavors from the burger and fries. This place is off to a good start, its tough out here. I hope they eventually add onion rings and more.

flop this was $15...it's not worth that much imo like it's not bad but it's very underwhelming it's like a school lunch that id eat if it was free but wouldn't go out of my way to pay for

With only 3-5 options this burger spot is great for its customer service and food. I got the combo #2. The fries were good. Well seasoned. The added sauce gave my taste buds a kick. The burger was juicy. I got my food to go but there are tables to sit down at.

The place is very clean and nice!

If you subscribe to OpenTable notifications, reservations are released gradually, and with a little patience it's pretty manageable to snag one. Walking in, I expected absolute chaos because of all the hype, but the restaurant wasn't overwhelmingly busy. There were actually quite a few empty tables waiting for later reservations. I understand that's how reservations work, but it did make me wonder if some of the "impossible to book" reputation is a bit overblown. The space itself is beautiful. The live wood-fired grill in the center of the dining room is definitely the highlight, and I loved the communal tables that create a warm, lively atmosphere. The warm cornbread with cultured butter was easily the best thing we ordered and an absolute must. It arrived piping hot, incredibly fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness, and paired perfectly with the rich, creamy butter. The baby albacore was outstanding--fresh, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. It practically melted in my mouth. The beef and eggplant stew, served with fresh tortillas, was another winner: rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. The only dish that didn't really land for me was the pork chop. The cut wasn't my favorite and, despite being cooked well, it tasted surprisingly underseasoned. The mashed potatoes, however, were silky, buttery, and honestly the best part of that plate. Dessert was enjoyable, especially the warm skillet cake with vanilla ice cream, but like much of the meal, it was very good rather than unforgettable. One thing that did catch me off guard was the automatic 4% surcharge added to the bill. It's disclosed, but it's still something to be aware of before dining. Overall, Dunsmoor is absolutely a five-star restaurant. The ingredients are top quality, the execution is thoughtful, the service is polished, and the atmosphere is unique. I just don't personally understand the level of hype surrounding it. I'm glad I finally experienced it, but it's not the kind of place where I'll be watching for the next reservation release. If friends wanted to go, I'd happily join them, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to book another reservation myself.

Right when I walked in, I was greeted by great service. One of the staff walked me up (elevator) to the restaurant and shared that this location was somewhat new-ish. Right off the bat, I was taken aback by the beauty of everything: the store, furniture, the decor, the tableware, the plating, the food, and even the damn servers. But anyway, we ordered the following: Tuna Violette Bouquet Agnolotti Cousu Main Crab & Caviar Beef Perlé Goddess Garden Chocolate Cannage I'm pretty sure I ordered a Matcha Latte too. It was real matcha, only very slightly sweetened. Oh, and the croissants? Complimentary, and you bet we devoured them. I made a mess lol. The meal itself was art, which was like nothing I've seen before in food (at least not food that was also tasty). I would have devoured all of them on my own, but no. Split with two of my friends. I'm tempted to just come back alone and re-order them and go shopping afterwards. My friend was unimpressed by the agnolotti cousu main; her critique was that it tasted average, with the broth as its saving grace. I still liked it though.
