Service so nice we requsted it twice -- and not for the same computers!
Alex is a brilliant gem! On Round One, he serviced my HP Pavillion and Acer Aspire One. He met me at my convenience in downtown Evanston, collected both units and returned them in 24 hours just as he said. The HP was my five year old steady friend but was running slow. Alex cleaned her up, backed up my critical files, worked out a Vista bug, and she has been running like new again. The Acer was a two year old refurbished impulse buy. Not sure what happened but it froze on start-up, would not reboot with the Tech Support answers from Acer. However, Alex got his wizardly little hands on my mini-me and hooked a sister up! Love it! Again, all backed up and secure.
Welllll, as it would be I was boasting in my good success in finding the needle in the haystack of good efficient timely computer serviceman to my partner. Often complaining about her HP desktop acting flighty, I told her to hand it over to Alex. But noooo, it wasnt until the 11th hour that she needed this one and a Dell she was donating serviced that she had me call Mr. Magic Fingers... aka Alex... again! He came to the house within an hour, took both CPU's, cleaned, backed-up, added memory to one and delivered back to the house by 9a the next morning! Are you kidding? This kind of customer service is virtually unheard of in any industry -- especially among computer world where folks who fix things that folks who use things have no idea of how we break things! ROTFL
But, seriously. About the money. Even when owning and servicing two laptops was a luxury and under no time crunch; and when under a time crunch, Alex's fees were fair. Whatever he charged we didnt flinch -- mostly because we respect a worker and his wages as we do our own. What I do remember thinking is that the customer service alone was worth whatever he charged for labor. So worth it. Our efficiency quadrupled. Priceless.
I highly recommend using Alex and SmartWebLLC for all of your computing needs. And, if you have a moment, ask about his story, it is quite fascinating!
Again, Alex, Thank you! read more
