When he showed up for the estimate, he gave us some options, took some measurements and we had a written estimate before he left. From approving the estimate to the materials showing up was only two weeks! The crew (Andy and Jack) showed up every day ready to work and did so tirelessly until the end of each day. They asked great questions to make sure nothing got damaged or misplaced, and the finished product was better that we had hoped! All scrap was removed and our yard was left in great condition. The job took six days for removal of old material and installation of new siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. Most importantly, the wife is happy!

I was first turned off by the gruff attitude I received over the phone, and numerous times to call to get any return call. After they Re worked our attic I am glad I did not give up. I could not be happier. I worried about my new roof being cut open to add 8 vents to my ranch home. The guy on the phone did the math with me and explained the codes and how he calculated the number of vents. This team even visited my home spent a lot of time taking pictures measuring, and looking for missing baffels in my attic soffit vents. It turned out we were missing almost everything to do it right. This proposal Engineer spent 45 minutes evaluating everything. Vaulted ceilings in 3 areas of my ranch home. Truly are experts, not just a name, its actually real honest and scientific expert type person. My heating bill in the first 3 months went from 230 per month to 89.00 a month, and the two rooms in front which needed heaters for the grandkids now stays at 68 min to 73 all the time. 8 vents 2 bathroom fans and re designed with proper size hoses 6 inches of blown in installation that from the side looks like my crew cut hair cut. How they got that to be perfect is awesome in itself. 9 vent baffles were installed, sealed all lights and any holes they found My roof vent from Storm Guard roof company had 2 areas where the roof vent went sideways and was never glued down. They repaired it too. Not one detail or little detail was missed. You can trust these people to do it Right. They did it all in 4 hours 15 minutes. There were multiple visits where the crew remained at my home for only a few minutes before leaving, resulting in another rescheduled appointment. This repeatedly disrupted my schedule and caused me to rearrange my commitments. During the work, my basement flooded after my sump pump was unplugged, my dehumidifier was damaged, spray foam contaminated personal property, including BMW seats I had stored in the basement, caulk was left on kitchen surfaces and furniture, and other belongings were damaged. Instead of feeling like my home was being protected during the project, I was left with significant cleanup and repair issues. After I reported the damage, I experienced confusion and conflicting information regarding how to pursue reimbursement. I was directed from one insurance source to another without resolution, and the process became frustrating and time-consuming. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability. When problems occurred, I did not feel that responsibility was accepted or that meaningful efforts were made to fully resolve the damages caused during the project. If you are considering hiring Green Attic, I encourage you to thoroughly document your property before work begins, ask detailed questions about insurance coverage and claims procedures, and carefully inspect all completed work before signing off. I live in a ranch home built in the 1950s - a fairly common build for the Chicago area. ARC…read moreprovided a quote ( without visiting our home) that included the following sentence, "Please confirm exterior walls are framed 2x4". I told the rep that other companies have inspected our home and stated that our walls are suitable for blown in insulation. ARC never came to visit our home - while their competitors did this as a standard account management cycle. Fast forward to this week, I was ready to sign the agreement and pay the deposit - the rep asked me to confirm the 2x4 framing. I asked him how he wanted me to do this - he suggested I drill pilot holes in each wall or pay a 3rd party to do this and that ARC was not responsible for verifying the details of our home. Not responsible for validating a critical project detail before having you customer pay thousands of dollars?! Extremely poor customer service and frankly, a lazy sales team. I am sure the crews doing the work are great, but the accounts team could use a refresh. I will work with a competitor unless ARC has employees willing to visit their prospective customers!

I'm far more educated about my home after working with Jim, and I finally have adequate insulation in my attic and crawl space.
