Our inspector told us the insulation looked like it hadn't been refreshed in 40 years and was severely deficient by modern standards. As a first time home owner, I didn't know a shingle from a soffit - Jim made the whole process easy to understand. Further, his report on our home after the estimate was like a graduate thesis, but in layman terms. We bought our house a few months ago and during home inspection were alerted to some mold staining in the attic, and lack of ventilation of exhaust fan. I had a few companies come out to quote on the mold remediation and attic ventilation separately. However Jim was able to quote a competitive price for all the needed work - remove/replace cellulose insulation, shockwave treatment for visible mold staining, adding roof vent and exhaust vent. He was prepared to add soffit vents too if needed, but it turned out they were already cut. The whole job was done in a day with very quick turnaround time. Best choice I've made in a long time. My home was built in the 1950s. I've owned it for about eight years. Every winter my house was cold and could not hold heat, with the furnace constantly running. (And not keeping adequate temperatures!!). I had Advanced out to inspect my situation. They mentioned I was clearly under-insulated with numerous vapor gaps. Response time was quick and competitively priced. Also Jim has many certifications and is beyond personable. His crew was also professional, focused and friendly. Install was on 1/8/22. It's January 26, 2022 and it is 8° BELOW zero outside. The positive effects of his work are an INCREDIBLE difference maker in my home!!! The company turned out to be the one I felt most comfortable hiring to remove my old insulation and install the new insulation. Their price was reasonable compared to the others. And they scheduled the job quickly, not making me wait for months. They worked hard and were done in a day. I had foam insulation installed on a small outside living area (around 70 sq ft). We began speaking on 07/09/20 and he (Jim) told me he'd get back to me. Very knowledgeable person, btw. I didn't hear from him until the 13th. We agreed for install in the 20th (Monday). The 19th comes around and I have no confirmation of install. I reach out to him only for him to say that he had me scheduled for the 22nd (Wednesday) and that he needed to obtain confirmation that the supplies needed are in stock. He gets back to me until the 28th and asks if I am available for same day install. The job itself turned out fine and it was what I expected. Pricing was reasonable also. I would have given a higher rating as the work itself was fine but almost three weeks for such a small job seems a bit excesive. He did apologize but I'll let you decide. read more

I looked at all the reviews for Advanced Insolation Solutions and decided to have them see if our house/attic needed new insolation. The house is close to 70 years old. Jim had someone come to our house to do an evaluation. He took photos and gave them to Jim to give us an estimate. He gave us a price for the insulation job, plus some other options that he saw needing attention such as exhaust fans that were venting into the attic and not outside. We decided the let them do the job with all the options. We had to clean out the attic before they did any of the work. It was just as well as there was a ton of junk that needed to be cleaned out. They came at the specified date and time. Jim had a trailer with all the equipment stored on our driveway night before, of course with our permission. The crew took about five hours to do the work, and cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend Advanced Insulation Solutions! My almost 103 year old mother was beyond pleased. We were looking to add insulation to our attic in our home, as it had not been done since we moved in. It was then when we noticed there to be some mold inside our attic due to years of neglect. I called Advanced Insulation Solutions and spoke directly with the owner who still overlooks the day-today business. I told him the severity of our issue (I have severe mold allergies) and Jim, the owner, personally met me at my house the following day to confirm the mold and need of new insulation in our home. He was onsite the entire time helping to remediate the mold, remove the old insulation, and add new insulation from 100% recycled material. (not that old fiberglass stuff) All in all it was a fantastic experience, with quick and professional results. We noticed our attic had some moisture during the winter and called Advanced to take a look- they found several exhaust fans that weren't connected and found large gaps connected to the house! We hired them to air seal the attic, connect the exhaust fans, and insulate with blow in material. Everything turned out great and no more moisture in the attic. We haven't touched the insulation since we bought our house and I noticed that our heating bill was pretty high. We had advanced insulation come out and they used this thermal camera to show us all the heat loss in the winter. We insulated our attic and they sealed cracks with spray foam as well.
