Moonraker Millhouse - Chicken Sando with fries...delicious

Every single visit has been consistently great. The service is always friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and their craft beers and seltzers never miss. The space itself is beautiful--both inside and outside--with that perfect lighting that makes you want to stay awhile. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything: casual coffee, family dinner, or a fun night out. Definitely a go-to.

I also loved the coffee bar, and the food itself was genuinely very good. That said, the ordering system really took away from the experience. Having to stand in one long line for drinks and another line for food just feels frustrating and inefficient, especially on a busy holiday like Mother's Day. It honestly felt more like serving yourself than dining out, yet the payment screen still pushes 18-25% tips. Mother's Day especially needed much better signage, more organization, and additional registers open. The lines were extremely long and moved painfully slow just to place an order. I really do love the concept and the atmosphere here, but the customer flow and service setup could use some major improvements during high-volume events.

I have made amazing friends at Wally's and I consider it to be 'the spot' in Cameron Park. However, a specific manager has really left me with a horrible taste in my mouth. Andy has , on numerous occasions , lied and been on some weird power trip with myself and my best-friend that are consistent regulars to this establishment. If you have two well-mannered, consistent, loyal regulars to your bar top (who are personal friends with 60% of the staff) ... you probably shouldn't lie to them when they ask for the shade blinds to be opened on a beautiful spring night. On three separate occasions, Andy has refused to open the outdoor patio shade screens during sunset when requested. On all 3 occasions, there were only 4-6 other people at the 20ish bar top inside. When we requested to raise the screens to our bartender, we were met with Andy's response: "other regulars want them down, so I'm not raising them". No other regulars at the bar top , no one anywhere near the patio. Again, we are FREQUENT regulars, requesting this on beautiful California spring nights, when no one at the bar top inside is anywhere near the glare range of the screens coming up. Honestly, anytime I walk in and Andy is managing I'm annoyed. He plays immature games for attention, & that's with people that come there frequently! If he treats any first time customers of Wally's this way, it's a shame, because every other employee of this establishment has been nothing but amazing. This review is directly a review of Andy, not of any other member on staff, or for the establishment as a whole. Wallys is my favorite place in Cameron Park, hands down, even with the BS this manager puts out to his regulars.

- A Little Luck, A Lot of Vibe…read more If you're looking for that "this is why we don't stay home" kind of energy... this spot nailed it. Walked in on St. Patrick's Day and it felt like the whole place had been plugged into a good mood generator. Packed--but not chaotic. Lively--but not sloppy. Just that sweet spot where everyone's smiling, conversations are flowing, and you can tell people actually want to be there. The staff? Absolute pros. Fast, dialed in, and having just as much fun as the crowd. You don't always see that combo--usually it's either efficient or friendly. These guys brought both. You could feel the teamwork behind the bar... drinks moving, laughs happening, zero stress vibes. The crowd was all in too--green everywhere, patios buzzing, inside shoulder-to-shoulder in the best way. No weird tension, no ego... just good people having a good time. That's rare these days. And honestly, this is exactly why local pubs matter. You're not just grabbing a drink--you're stepping into a community moment. Something real. Something you can't replicate with a six-pack at home. Bottom line: If this is how they show up on a big day, you already know it's solid year-round. Support your local spot. This one's doing it right.

When I got there I got the food, went to my car and opened it to find semi-toasted bread, not a bun. Went back in to make sure it was gluten-free, they said they ran out of gluten-free buns. Disappointing, but I went with it. When I got home and cut the burger, I discovered that the inside was completely raw...not rare....RAW. So I had to cook my own burger at home, by which time the bread was even more raw. I felt ill later in the evening and I am still not feeling great today. Really disgusted and disappointed since I have gone in to dine so many times without issue. I will not be going back to 36 Handles ever. The lack of care and basic cooking is utterly sad. $26 for no bun and a raw burger. Waste of money.

The Rose family are the kindest people and what they have created is something that should really be celebrated by all EDH locals and beyond. Kid Friendly: They have crayons, and coloring sheets for kiddos along with cards and various other table games. (For adults too!) FOOD/BEVS: All beer offered is Boring Rose beer and it's really good! Additionally they offer house made seltzers, carry local ciders, and wines. They make fresh and delicious Pizzas, wraps, salads, etc. and the pretzel with beer cheese is a MUST. Before I was a big fan of the Greater Meal deal Bacon cheeseburger and endless fries and a drink for just $9.99. They still have this deal too! I still have 2 of my crew with me as we returned to the Sacramento area after a long road trip to Vegas and back. We decided a late lunch at Applebee's was just the thing we needed. They have a great drink selection as well. I'm driving, so no drinkie for me this time! One of the crew got the Big Easy special of the shrimp and chicken with mashed potatoes served on a bed of mushroom and onions all on a sizzling hot platter. I got my fave Bourbon Chicken Penne pasta served with green and red bell pepper and onions as well as andouille sausage. There's just something about this combination that tastes super good, the kitchen really got this one right! The other crew member went for the Meal Deal Bacon Cheeseburger and fries. Service was all friendly and the interior of this location looked pretty similar to all the Applebee's with a bar in the center and table all around and nice windows to let in the light. The food arrives and we all dig in. Mine is tasty as I've had before. The chicken and shrimp dish is sizzling away, had to get a vid of that! We all loved the food here. Get to Applebee's and try this new Big Easy Menu, lotta different choices on it.

Date: Saturday, October 19th, 2024 Meal: Late Dinner…read moreTakeaway Party of: 2 Time Ordered: around 11pm Time Picked Up: about 30 mins later How Ordered: via their website *Mozzarella Sticks ($10.79) *2 for $26: Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Applebee's® Riblets Plate: Honey BBQ & Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Fiesta Lime Chicken (+$1.50) When the hubby and i head up to Tahoe from SJ, there's only so many options open since we leave late. I'm getting a little sick of fast food, so I suggested checking out Applebee's. Online ordering is simple and easy. I did read they give you a free appetizer when joining their loyalty club, so I decided to do so. I don't know how it works, but I never saw a free appetizer. Was going to order from them anyways, so just went ahead with my online order. I haven't been to Applebee's in years, so I asked the hubs what he wanted. He mentioned the two for $26 deal, so we just went ahead and ordered that. He adores mozzarella sticks and I like spinach and artichoke dip, so we added the less expensive one as an additional item. It was $0.20 less, but hey, less money is less money. I enjoyed the chicken. It was savory and cheesy. A lil salty, but the lime cut into that. The dip was nice and creamy. I had some carrot sticks at the house, so I ate it with those. The hubs had it with the chips and said it was a lil salty as well. The riblets were pretty good. I was afraid they would be too sweet due to the honey bbq, but it wasn't at all. The mozzarella sticks were also tasty. Tho they need to give you more than one small container of marinara. It's not enough for all the sticks. Luckily, I had some spaghetti sauce at the house so it was an okay substitute. When leaving, I noticed a sign saying they do half off appetizer after 9pm. Not sure of the terms, but we didn't get that deal online. So if ordering, maybe call them instead or order in person to get the deal. I believe the wait for takeout is probably less than 20 mins. I may try that if we decide to check out Applebee's again. REVIEW #3595
