This is my third review for Slim Chickens. I love this place! This time I ordered the grilled chicken buffalo wrap, and it was too good for words and spicy as hell. Just the way I like it. The amount of fries they give you seems to have tapered off a bit, but for the price, I can't complain. The tea is great and the employees are always so friendly and helpful. Plus, it always has that new house scent when you walk in, as if they just finished constructing the building the day before. Also, I've yet to see another restaurant as consistently clean as Slim Chickens is. I only have one complaint. When you go there while the sun is going down, there is a two to three hour period where it's impossible to sit on the entrance side, without being blinded by the sunlight. Their walls are giant windows and there's absolutely nothing blocking the sun on that side of the building and no blinds or tinted windows. I wrote the company yesterday and addressed this situation. Less than 24 hours later, I received a reply from the Vice-President of Operations, stating: "I appreciate you being a loyal guest of Slim Chickens! I wanted to drop you a note and tell you I appreciate the feedback and I am currently working on a solution for the windows. Thank you for your feedback and again, for being loyal guest!" As if this company's customer service couldn't get any better! They really are amazing. So all of you who eat there and have to avoid the entrance side like a bunch of vampires after 4:00 PM, help is on the way. I only wish I could give Slim Chickens more stars. read more

I may have caught them at a bad time... but this was right in the middle of lunch hour, the place was about half-full, there were two ahead of me and it didn't look too busy. First of all, the young lady taking my order was completely indifferent to my presence and seemed genuinely bothered that I was interrupting her afternoon... not a warm or even cordial welcome... Then I noticed the people waiting on their food looked... upset. I overheard one walk up asking for the status of their order and that they'd been there for 30 minutes... that didn't bode well, but by then I'd already placed my order for chicken sammich and fries... basic and hopefully quick. I was wrong... 25 minutes later and there I was walking up to the counter to check on my order. About 5 minutes of being walked past and not asked anything, a young lady grabbed a sandwich tray off the counter and handed it to me. The sandwich was good, the fries could've stayed a little longer in the grease, but it got the job done. Pro tip from someone that travels a lot and genuinely seeks out local establishments over the major chain restaurants... if you advertise on a major U.S. interstate as a food option; make damn sure you have your shit in order for lunch rushes... this was a Monday... It's been a few months since our last visit and we are not happy with the changes. My Chicks Meal of 3 pcs was a joke. They were 3" of fried batter covering chicken. The texas toast (which I don't eat anyway) has shrunken down to 4" soggy triangles. The French fries portion was generous, probably to camouflage the lack of chicken. We paid $25.00 for 2 people. We always get fresh tasty chicken at Slim Chickens. I usually enjoy a salad, and the chicken is always delicious. My husband goes for the chicken strips and loves them. Our granddaughters are very selective about their mac n cheese and raved about their lunch here. read more

Heard about this little place from my daughter in law. We were dying to get out of Farmerville for a little while so we decided to give it a try. Clean with very cute decor. I had chicken and waffles (a first for me). Large Belgium waffle with three chicken tenders. It was very good. The others had the cheesy chicken wrap and coleslaw. The server said that the wrap was spicy so I didn't try it, but my cohorts thought that the sandwich was very good. Good value, great staff, and not very crowded at 5:00. I had never heard of this place, but after reading the reviews, thought I'd give it a go. I don't normally leave bad reviews either, but this place was sub-par. I ordered the Chicks meal which is 3 chicken strips, Texas toast, fries and a drink. The breading on the bottom of the tenders was really wet and fell off. I'm not sure if it was because it sat in grease a long time or what. The fries and Texas toast were nothing special either. I also got a chocolate milkshake with my colleague, it was different than what you'd get at McDonalds. Just a soft serve style milkshake, not real ice cream...honestly, the milkshake was the best part of the meal. We got our food around 9pm, the restaurant was busy, so I know it was fresh...it was just blah, or possibly even below that. To be fair though, you need to visit Slim Chickens' first Louisiana location in West Monroe to see what all the commotion is about! You can choose to use the drive-thru or dine-in. Their daily hours of operation are 10:30am-11:00pm. In 2003, Slim Chickens first opened in Fayetteville, AR. This casual, fast-food eatery is setting the precedence for delivering fresh, quality food along with exceptional customer service. Currently, there are over 25 locations, with a vision for growth and expansion to 600 locations over the next decade. As soon as you make your way inside, the enthusiastic staff are very welcoming and happy to help take your order. The spacious, brightly lit dining area provides ample room for groups of any size. Plenty of TVs are situated around the dining room for everyone to watch. There is also an outdoor patio available for dining. We went on a Wed night and both the drive-thru and dining area were buzzing like busy bees, which was to be expected during the first week of opening. Despite the hustle and bustle, you'll encounter Southern hospitality at every corner, from beginning to end. It took about 10 mins for the food to come out hot and fresh, ready to be devoured! I have to give major kudos to the management team for properly training staff on delivering excellent customer service. The chicken tenders come hand-breaded or grilled, with your choice of 10 various dipping sauces (Slim sauce, gravy, ranch, cayenne ranch, blue cheese, BBQ, spicy BBQ, sweet & sour, honey mustard, mango habanero). The Buffalo wings are not breaded and come in 9 different flavors (mild, medium, hot, inferno, sweet & sour, teriyaki, honey BBQ ,spicy BBQ, mango habanero). Tender and wing combos come with Texas toast, fries, and a medium drink, but fries can be swapped out for another side item. (A word of caution on the Texas toast, which is more like toasted regular sandwich bread with garlic butter). Side items include fried okra/mushroom/pickles, mac & cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, and carrots & celery. The mushrooms were juicy and fried to perfection- get them! Other menu options include chicken & waffles, salads and wraps. And we save the best for last- dessert! Dessert selections vary daily for Mason jar desserts, fried pie, or chocolate chip cookies. After reading the entire menu, I couldn't help but plan my next visit to try the chicken & waffles and dessert, which I am told is life-changing as well! Move over Raising Canes, you've got some serious competition from Slim Chickens! Slim Chickens offers more menu variety than its competitors, which puts them ahead in the fast food arena. We spend a lot of money at this location and haven't had any issues prior. Today I went to pick up two meals for my wife and I. When arriving the drive through was busy so I walked inside. I placed my order for a sandwich and wing meal. I placed my order at 12:15 and left almost an hour later. After finally getting my meal it was prepared for dine instead of to-go. So that took another ten minute to correct. I ordered the 8 wing meal with a dipping sauce for my wife. When I got home it was only six wings and no sauce. read more

This has been my favorite chicken place ever since it moved to West Monroe. Their dipping sauces are amazing. Their chicken tenders are bigger than Raising Cane's. Their value for their price is lightyears better than Chick-fil-A. I once placed and received an order in under 4 minutes (and all of it was fresh). Aside from occasionally getting one of the dipping sauces in my order wrong, the service is great. Tenders match up well with the likes of Canes, but I really enjoyed the wings a little more. The Mac and cheese was excellent as well. I visited your establishment last week and I was very disappointed because the employees were not wearing their PPE properly. WHAT happened to the mask required when entering sign. The young lady, on the cash register, had her mask covering her chin, instead of her mouth and nose. The people preparing our food did not have their mouths or noses covered. One of the persons preparing our meal was actually eating and preparing our meal, simultaneously. I love your food, but I am very disappointed in the way the employees and managers are wearing their PPE or not wearing their PPE.
