This is my third review for Slim Chickens. I love this place! This time I ordered the grilled chicken buffalo wrap, and it was too good for words and spicy as hell. Just the way I like it. The amount of fries they give you seems to have tapered off a bit, but for the price, I can't complain. The tea is great and the employees are always so friendly and helpful. Plus, it always has that new house scent when you walk in, as if they just finished constructing the building the day before. Also, I've yet to see another restaurant as consistently clean as Slim Chickens is. I only have one complaint. When you go there while the sun is going down, there is a two to three hour period where it's impossible to sit on the entrance side, without being blinded by the sunlight. Their walls are giant windows and there's absolutely nothing blocking the sun on that side of the building and no blinds or tinted windows. I wrote the company yesterday and addressed this situation. Less than 24 hours later, I received a reply from the Vice-President of Operations, stating: "I appreciate you being a loyal guest of Slim Chickens! I wanted to drop you a note and tell you I appreciate the feedback and I am currently working on a solution for the windows. Thank you for your feedback and again, for being loyal guest!" As if this company's customer service couldn't get any better! They really are amazing. So all of you who eat there and have to avoid the entrance side like a bunch of vampires after 4:00 PM, help is on the way. I only wish I could give Slim Chickens more stars. read more

What a joke! Do not stop at this location. The service is terrible and they made me wait on a handful of fried okra. read more

Slim Chickens - What a joke! Do not stop at this location and the service is terrible. - Chicken Wings Near Me - West Monroe, Louisiana

Do not go here unless you took time off from work. If you have anywhere to be within the next 12 hours, you should avoid this place. I waited 23 minutes for my order. It didn't come after 23 minutes. I then had to go back through the drive thru to ask where my food was. No apologies, no urgency. I would only eat Slim Chickens again if I could order weeks ahead of time. read more

Food is ok, service is off and on, and the ambiance is typical fast food restaurant. Nothing special

Food very mediocre. Guy taking orders wanted to be anywhere else. There are plenty of other places to get much better food. Won't be back.

Do not order a salad. Unless you really lay on the dressing (in which you have to request more just to cover your salad) it will taste like straight pesticides. They do not wash their lettuce. I've called and told them but it's no use. I've never tasted lettuce that funky in my life read more

I may have caught them at a bad time... but this was right in the middle of lunch hour, the place was about half-full, there were two ahead of me and it didn't look too busy. First of all, the young lady taking my order was completely indifferent to my presence and seemed genuinely bothered that I was interrupting her afternoon... not a warm or even cordial welcome... Then I noticed the people waiting on their food looked... upset. I overheard one walk up asking for the status of their order and that they'd been there for 30 minutes... that didn't bode well, but by then I'd already placed my order for chicken sammich and fries... basic and hopefully quick. I was wrong... 25 minutes later and there I was walking up to the counter to check on my order. About 5 minutes of being walked past and not asked anything, a young lady grabbed a sandwich tray off the counter and handed it to me. The sandwich was good, the fries could've stayed a little longer in the grease, but it got the job done. Pro tip from someone that travels a lot and genuinely seeks out local establishments over the major chain restaurants... if you advertise on a major U.S. interstate as a food option; make damn sure you have your shit in order for lunch rushes... this was a Monday... I can't imagine a busier day. read more

Slim Chickens - Sammich, fries, lemonade... 30 minutes after I ordered. - Chicken Wings Near Me - West Monroe, Louisiana

Pulled up in the drive thru to order my chicken club sandwich and got to the window it came out so fast no time to make it or nothing. I get to eating in the parking lot thank goodness we didn't pull away yet bc I lifted up my lettuce and a BUG!! On my cheese. I went inside immediately.. told the employees what I found and they looked shocked they said they was sorry and I heard a little chuckle from the girl going behind the wall. They said it would take 6 minutes to remake my food. 6 minutes?! Why didn't you take 6 minutes to make my food in the first place. This is so unacceptable. But I checked my new sandwich it was okay eating on it now. But this was actually so crazy i immediately told my boyfriend that I'm going to write this on Yelp read more

It's been a few months since our last visit and we are not happy with the changes. My Chicks Meal of 3 pcs was a joke. They were 3" of fried batter covering chicken. The texas toast (which I don't eat anyway) has shrunken down to 4" soggy triangles. The French fries portion was generous, probably to camouflage the lack of chicken. We paid $25.00 for 2 people. We typically pay $28-30 to eat in a restaurant with a decent meal. We will not be returning. Location was Bentonville AR. read more

We always get fresh tasty chicken at Slim Chickens. I usually enjoy a salad, and the chicken is always delicious. My husband goes for the chicken strips and loves them. Our granddaughters are very selective about their mac n cheese and raved about their lunch here. read more

Wings are delicious, salads are fresh, chicken and waffle is good, fried mushrooms are yummy!

It was okay. Nothing to rave about it was a regular chicken sandwich. It was my first time eating there

I was so pleasantly surprised how good everything was. I did an online order. The wings were sauced perfectly. The fried mushrooms were cooked perfectly and nice and hot. I got a ranch with mushrooms and a ranch with my wings. My first visit and I will go back. Thank you for the good service. read more

Slim Chickens - Buffalo wings with fried mushrooms. - Chicken Wings Near Me - West Monroe, Louisiana

Great service. The fried mushrooms are SPOT ON! The chicken has always been so juicy and tender. Definitely recommend this place.

The food was cold I told them bone less but they gave me with the bone and I almost choked

Heard about this little place from my daughter in law. We were dying to get out of Farmerville for a little while so we decided to give it a try. Clean with very cute decor. I had chicken and waffles (a first for me). Large Belgium waffle with three chicken tenders. It was very good. The others had the cheesy chicken wrap and coleslaw. The server said that the wrap was spicy so I didn't try it, but my cohorts thought that the sandwich was very good. Good value, great staff, and not very crowded at 5:00. I expect things really pick up later. I think that you will find this to be a good choice. read more

The service was wonderful. The food was great. I had a slight problem with my order and it was fixed with no hesitation.

I had never heard of this place, but after reading the reviews, thought I'd give it a go. I don't normally leave bad reviews either, but this place was sub-par. I ordered the Chicks meal which is 3 chicken strips, Texas toast, fries and a drink. The breading on the bottom of the tenders was really wet and fell off. I'm not sure if it was because it sat in grease a long time or what. The fries and Texas toast were nothing special either. I also got a chocolate milkshake with my colleague, it was different than what you'd get at McDonalds. Just a soft serve style milkshake, not real ice cream...honestly, the milkshake was the best part of the meal. We got our food around 9pm, the restaurant was busy, so I know it was fresh...it was just blah, or possibly even below that. That's why with places like Caines or Chik fil A around, I'd never go back here. The other two options always deliver and are great. read more

"Life changing chicken"- Slim Chickens does indeed live up to its motto. To be fair though, you need to visit Slim Chickens' first Louisiana location in West Monroe to see what all the commotion is about! You can choose to use the drive-thru or dine-in. Their daily hours of operation are 10:30am-11:00pm. In 2003, Slim Chickens first opened in Fayetteville, AR. This casual, fast-food eatery is setting the precedence for delivering fresh, quality food along with exceptional customer service. Currently, there are over 25 locations, with a vision for growth and expansion to 600 locations over the next decade. As soon as you make your way inside, the enthusiastic staff are very welcoming and happy to help take your order. The spacious, brightly lit dining area provides ample room for groups of any size. Plenty of TVs are situated around the dining room for everyone to watch. There is also an outdoor patio available for dining. We went on a Wed night and both the drive-thru and dining area were buzzing like busy bees, which was to be expected during the first week of opening. Despite the hustle and bustle, you'll encounter Southern hospitality at every corner, from beginning to end. It took about 10 mins for the food to come out hot and fresh, ready to be devoured! I have to give major kudos to the management team for properly training staff on delivering excellent customer service. Many fast food establishments sometimes lose sight of customer service and I hope they continue to reinforce and uphold great service through the years. Surprisingly, Slim Chickens offers variety of options, no matter how small or big your appetite. I've posted their menu here for reference. The chicken here is fresh and made to order. The chicken tenders come hand-breaded or grilled, with your choice of 10 various dipping sauces (Slim sauce, gravy, ranch, cayenne ranch, blue cheese, BBQ, spicy BBQ, sweet & sour, honey mustard, mango habanero). The Buffalo wings are not breaded and come in 9 different flavors (mild, medium, hot, inferno, sweet & sour, teriyaki, honey BBQ ,spicy BBQ, mango habanero). Tender and wing combos come with Texas toast, fries, and a medium drink, but fries can be swapped out for another side item. (A word of caution on the Texas toast, which is more like toasted regular sandwich bread with garlic butter). Side items include fried okra/mushroom/pickles, mac & cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, and carrots & celery. The mushrooms were juicy and fried to perfection- get them! Other menu options include chicken & waffles, salads and wraps. And we save the best for last- dessert! Dessert selections vary daily for Mason jar desserts, fried pie, or chocolate chip cookies. After reading the entire menu, I couldn't help but plan my next visit to try the chicken & waffles and dessert, which I am told is life-changing as well! Move over Raising Canes, you've got some serious competition from Slim Chickens! Slim Chickens offers more menu variety than its competitors, which puts them ahead in the fast food arena. As a new addition, I can definitely see potential for rapid growth and success for Slim Chickens. Be the judge and come visit Slim Chickens for your next life changing meal. read more

I have an allergy, I told them this and they served it to me anyway....I took it back and they gave me the same chicken that was on top of the containing red fries. This place is a joke, no one even cares. They are all walking around clueless. Don't eat here if you have food allergies read more

I love eating at Slim Chicken. The food is very good. I always choose Slim chicken when my husband ask the family what they want to eat.

West Monroe Slims Chicken the food is good don't get me wrong on that, but the service and the time frame the food comes out is poor.I came in to Slims not super busy took 20mins for our food to and our food was cold and I received 5 out of my 6 wings. It's a hit or miss place to eat read more

We spend a lot of money at this location and haven't had any issues prior. Today I went to pick up two meals for my wife and I. When arriving the drive through was busy so I walked inside. I placed my order for a sandwich and wing meal. I placed my order at 12:15 and left almost an hour later. After finally getting my meal it was prepared for dine instead of to-go. So that took another ten minute to correct. I ordered the 8 wing meal with a dipping sauce for my wife. When I got home it was only six wings and no sauce. read more

Slim Chickens - 5 & 5 combo and the hungry plate with fried pickles - Chicken Wings Near Me - West Monroe, Louisiana

The chicken has been hard & dried out the last 3-4 times we have visited. Was good a few years ago but not impressed any longer.

Truly the BEST chicken tenders I've ever tasted. First time today and I already cannot wait to go back.

Average wings- overpriced but 5 sauces comes with your meal maybe that's why it's pricey. Will not go out of my way to eat here.

There is a debate of what is better. Raising Cane's or Zaxby's. Slim Chickens is better. Thus place was great. I loved the homemade ranch dressing. Could have eaten it on almost everything. Really wanted to try the dessert in a jar but was full and traveling the next day so had to skip that. Will hopefully try it another day. read more

This has been my favorite chicken place ever since it moved to West Monroe. Their dipping sauces are amazing. Their chicken tenders are bigger than Raising Cane's. Their value for their price is lightyears better than Chick-fil-A. I once placed and received an order in under 4 minutes (and all of it was fresh). Aside from occasionally getting one of the dipping sauces in my order wrong, the service is great. The only thing I'd say they could improve on is their toast...it has almost zero flavor, it's flat, and I honestly don't understand why it's even there. ‍ read more

If you are looking for something that's not sit down restaurant but better quality than fast food, this is the place to go. They have chicken tenders and wings. Tenders match up well with the likes of Canes, but I really enjoyed the wings a little more. The Mac and cheese was excellent as well. Basically, this is a Canes with more options of sauces, side dishes, and desserts. read more

I visited your establishment last week and I was very disappointed because the employees were not wearing their PPE properly. WHAT happened to the mask required when entering sign. The young lady, on the cash register, had her mask covering her chin, instead of her mouth and nose. The people preparing our food did not have their mouths or noses covered. One of the persons preparing our meal was actually eating and preparing our meal, simultaneously. I love your food, but I am very disappointed in the way the employees and managers are wearing their PPE or not wearing their PPE. Thanks in advance in making these adjustments because I want to continue to patronize your establishment. read more
