The food is good but I never get what I order. I need to start checking before I get home. I have ordered tenders and ended up with dark meat. Well after visiting this area at least 1x/mo for the past 2 years I finally made some time to try the famous Southern Classic Chicken. I have to say I was disappointed. Although everything was piping hot because it was pulled straight out of the grease, the food was very average. I ordered the chicken strip dinner and substituted my fries for okra. The okra was frozen from a bag which was not that big of deal for fast food but still a bit disappointing. The rolls that people were raving over were from a bag... And tasted like they were warmed with some butter brushed on top. So now I was willing to let all of this go if the chicken strips were great but unfortunately they weren't. Now they weren't bad they just weren't great. Although I found them crispy, decently flavorful and not overly greasy the chicken was a bit dry. So needless to say I wasn't blown away by the Louisiana fast food staple. I may go visit again in the future and try something other than chicken strips but I'm not itching to go back any time soon.
