I had the most wonderful dining experience at Lula Perl and can't stop raving about it! From the moment we walked in, the warm and attentive service made us feel right at home. Owners Paul (the talented chef) and Kate bring such a personal touch to everything--they clearly care deeply about their customers and stopped by our table to chat, ensuring everything was perfect. Their genuine hospitality made the visit extra special. The food itself is outstanding. Everything is truly farm-to-table, with the restaurant sourcing all of its fresh ingredients directly from local farmers. You can taste the difference in every bite--the vibrant flavors, incredible freshness, and quality that only comes from supporting nearby producers. I especially loved their great specialty coffees, which paired beautifully with the seasonal dishes and breakfast/lunch offerings. The plates were exceptional, highlighting the best of what our region has to offer. We'll definitely be back soon (it's breakfast and lunch only, so plan your visit accordingly!) and will be recommending Lula Perl to all our friends and family. Found this total diamond in the rough while on a road trip. This place is absolutely fantastic! The staff are so loving and sweet. The menu has a great selection of breakfast and lunch fare. My daughter opted for the waffles and they were fluffy and delicious. I had the hash with brisket and it was hands down one of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten! I took a chocolate chip cookie to go and that made for a great snack a few hours later. Hope we are able to stop by this gem again sometime. A+ read more

We stopped here on our way back home to TX and we could not have been more impressed!! This is a place we would travel to just to experience it again and again! And we live 4 hrs away! My wife had the Boudin Cake and Sunny, I had the special for the day with was a smoked brisket Omelet that was one of the best things I've ever tasted. No joke. The location is intimate, comfortable, and clean. We also had a Chemex which is pour over coffee, it was dreamy. My wife added a little lavender to hers and was over the moon! The owner was very friendly and helpful! This is one of those place that you actually love the food and you want the people to succeed! I hope they do! We were visiting from South Louisiana for a volleyball tournament on Saturday, September 20, 2025. We called in advance to ask if they had grits and was told "yes, we do" However, when we got there, they did not have grits on a Saturday. THEY LIED. The bacon was extremely hard and difficult to chew. We ordered over medium eggs and only received one over cooked egg. The crossaint was nice tasting and light. The male server was phenomenal, very personable, welcoming and professional He was the best part of our visit. read more

We were visiting Ruston from out of town and I'm so thrilled that we stopped in Lula Perl for breakfast. It was an awesome experience from the food to the service. Our group of six included our very loud grandson which did not alter our service by any means. In fact, we ended our meal with the owner showing our grandson how to use chalk on the floor. I'd 100% recommend this restaurant and I'd strongly advise getting the peach preserves with your biscuits. Best peach preserves I've ever eaten!!! read more

Will driving home from Arkansas was looking for a coffeehouse. Stop to get coffee but ended up with The Birria dip sandwich it was delicious. It was the special of the day.
