I really wanted to post a glowing review. Unfortunately, this was nearly a complete fail. Don't get me wrong, the shake is excellent, service was fairly fast, but the food. I ordered a 5 piece strip with mushrooms. I was so looking forward to mushrooms with ranch. Instead I received fries, no mushrooms. This place closes 20 min BEFORE the POSTED closing hour of 10pm. We arrived at 9:42 and nobody took any orders or came out for at least 10 min. At around 9:52 about 6-7 employees came out and huddle around each other talking to each other but not communicating with any customers waiting in their cars. Some even laughing. Finally at 10:05p I shouted out my car "is anyone going to tell us what is happening"? The lady manager said we stop taking orders at 9:50p. It's unfortunate the way she and they all handle this is beyond unprofessional. It was literally a group of equally incompetent people that don't understand what "take care of the customer" looks and or sounds like. The chicken tenders are crispy and real chicken pieces. The fries are long, thin and crispy. Cayenne sandwich was tasty, not too spicy but a tad of a kick. The Mayo had a soft easy flavor. Not thrilled with the chocolate shake. It's thick and sweet and chocolaty for sure, but it's dry, so don't order it if you're thirsty, or ask for ice cream in a cup then get some root beer from the fountain. I dumped the shake and asked for a cup for water. The toast was great, but I had Mac and cheese as a sub-side so the toast was overkill. The price is very good despite my up-charged substitutes. The place is clean and so is the restroom. It's loud, but you can still talk across the table. Has a nice patio. The servers are friendly and professional. There's a lot of different fried veggies on the menu so I'll go back another time and give them a try. I like fried mushrooms if they're done right. I might even try the chicken and waffles maybe early in the day. I gave it 5 stars for the quality, the price and the taste is better than an other chicken place that I will not mention that I'm not thrilled with. The one star is generous. The "tenders" are, at best, measly! After all the excitement waiting for this "restaurant" to open, it's a major disappointment, and an expensive one to boot. Native Grill & Wings has been here for YEARS and their tenders are substantially bigger, better, and less expensive. It was the only restaurant with no line. I had to repeat everything I ordered 3x's. They asked my name for the order 3x's also. Ordered fried okra, I got fried mushrooms instead. Asked for wings with extra sauce and extra sauce on the side. That didn't happen. They asked if I needed salt, pepper, and catsup, but that didn't happen, i got nothing they offered. Slim Chickens had solid flavors all around. Service was exceptional and consistent with the leading restaurants. Very modern/fast casual interior with rock and roll themed accents. Paper towel rolls on all tables like a barbeque restaurant. I tried several items during my visit. The mac and cheese on the buffalo tender mac bowl was certified legit. If you do n't like onions, get the tender mac bowl instead. Chicken was fresh and crispy. Fries and okra were good. Tenders were good enough to compete with the others. I chose the Slim Sauce, which tasted a lot sweeter than the trendy "fry sauce" every restaurant seems to offer. I also tried the gravy, which is probably good but the salt from the chicken and fries made it almost tasteless in comparison. Texas toast... oh lawd. Crispy chicken sandwich I liked better than Chick-fil-A. They put a cayenne ranch sauce on it which is great for me, but I suspect it could be a tad salty for some. But Slim Chickens is no joke. I finished with the Reese's cheesecake jar dessert (other flavors available). Man, this thing is incredible. I thought it would be too sweet but between the cheesecake bites and the whipped cream, it kinda tames the sweetness. Trust me, you will love it. There has been a lot of hype over the opening of Slim Chicken's. Finally went there. Not worth the money ($22 for 2 meals). The tenders were bland and dry. The Buffalo wrap smelled terrible and tasted the same. Their "hot" sauce is just Crystal or similar sauce poured into a cup. Their "Texas toast" seems to be a slice of Wonder bread toasted. I would say the prices are reasonable. The Chicken tenders are decent, the "Slim Sauce" is terrible to me personally, it's a failed version of the raising cane's sauce. French Fries are okay, and the garlic bread is mid. Nice size portion of food, and a good variety of options on the menu. Lemonade needs more sugar it's very bland. Haven't tried everything else on the menu but I am curious as to what the chicken wings are like. read more

I'll keep this as simple as possible. The cost for what you get doesn't balance out right. The portions are on the smaller side and the cost is on the higher side. I think a majority of the positive reviews are simply people with few choices to act like they are part of something new. I gave it two tries, both times for two people. The chicken wrap is light on the meat and too expensive, the wings were ok enough but too expensive and without an a la cart option, the tenders aren't near as good as Raising Canes(and I'm not even a fan of theirs), and I challenge anyone to provide proof their chicken sandwich was anywhere near as big as the photo on the Slim Chickens website. Little did I know while I waited for my food at the drive thru there was a better chicken sandwich right next door at McDonald's. Also who the heck runs out of Mac n cheese 5 min after opening? When I get home and realized I took all the food back and showed them and I was frustrated but they remade all the food so it was all hot when I get back home to eat. I went through the drive-through for my family's lunch today. I got there at around 1040 and there were only around six cars ahead of me which was great as I was on a one hour lunch break. I got my order and drove home. When I opened the bag I saw that two items were missing from my order, the fried pickles and the six piece wings. I called and Brianna said that she would make some fresh and I would need to come inside the store to pick up, this really sucks because I was short on time and there was a long line inside. I impatiently waited, and when I got to the cashier, I told her I was there to pick up items that were missing and if they could please hurry because I was on a lunch break, the items came out within five minutes which was ok but I opened the items to check if everything was in there (lesson learned) and the ranch dressing was missing so I asked one of them and they wanted to see that the ranch was missing so I open the boxes and showed her. Finally got my missing items and headed home to join my family for lunch. The macaroni and cheese was just OK.. it was very thick Sauce and it was seasoned ok but honestly, I probably will not order it again. The chicken was juicy and delicious. The waffles were just too soft so I threw them in my air fryer, and then they were perfect. The fried pickles were delicious and the fried mushrooms were a bit soggy. The texas toast was buttery and delicious. The ranch was pretty good.. its similar to wing stop ranch, but honestly wingstop's ranch tastes better, more seasoned. The sweet tea wasn't sweet and when I told the staff they said it was because there was no sugar in it. Why would you have the sweet tea out for customers if it wasn't fully prepared? Also I ordered the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich and the chicken was salty as fuck, like disgustingly salty.
