I came and I order to go since it was pretty busy. Everyone had a mask on but one manager woman who you could tell she was not in a good mood had her mask in her neck the entire time. Everyone else was very friendly and helpful. Since it was our first time I wasn't sure what to get and they were pretty patient. The chicken was good, French fries were not my favorite but my girls liked them. I order the waffle with chicken, waffle was big and thick and it has the figure of Texas state which was pretty cool. The sauces for the chicken were pretty good, my favorite was the spicy barbecue. Bathrooms were very clean and they have a terraza which was nice. I was going to get my drink and they actually serve it for you. I think the only reason why I will give a 4 stars is because of that woman manager not wearing her face mask and showing that she was not in a good mood. Everyone else was great! read more

We waited over 20 minutes for our food. Normally wouldn't have been a problem, but when we received our dinner, everything was either lukewarm, cold, or soggy! Didn't make sense to wait over 20 minutes just for our food to come out and not be fresh. Our cashier also wasn't in the best mood or just didn't want to be at the restaurant. When bringing our food, she tossed and slid our plates across the table, no syrup for the waffles, utensils for our salads, and didn't even apologize for the wait. We used to love this place and frequent it often. The last 4 or 5 times have been less than satisfactory. Every time we go we wait at least 20 minutes and our food is cold. The chicken and fries taste like they have been sitting out for hours and are stale and soggy. The time before last they completely forgot our order while in the drive through. Just went and ordered the largest strip meal that they had, and was disappointed I didn't get any of the Texas toast that was advertised or get to try any of the sauces, as they left the two that I chose out of the mea.l I wasn't able to go back and there's no phone number on the receipt to call. The chicken and fries tasted good, but they advertise so many different sauces that you can try I feel jilted. Hopefully we can just mark this up to grand opening issues, and it won't happen again. My husband and I got takeout from Slim Chickens two weeks ago. We were very excited to try it out! However, my meal was wrong and both our meals were very cold. We don't live far from them so weren't too thrilled about the cold food. I reached out to corporate to let them know and I never heard back. Ordered a salad and asked for the fried chicken and no tomatoes with ranch. They didn't give me any chicken in my salad, It was full of tomatoes (which i'm allergic too) and didn't have any ranch either. On top of that they didn't give me the right drinks I ordered either. This was a pleasant stop for lunch. The service was outstanding. Numerous employees seen serving and busing tables, keeping the busy restaurant clean. The manager was noticeably visible behind the counter and making rounds in the dining area. The food itself was good. The fries were average, the tenders were fresh and crisp, all in all what you'd expect from a fast casual chicken restaurant. My husband and I went the day after they opened. They were super packed but got us in and ordered fairly quickly. They have a pretty big variety of chicken and have about 8-12 sauces (I don't remember the exact number) but the chipotle ranch and the honey bbq was delicious. The Slims sauce they had was okay, very different. The employees were walking around taking everyone's trash and asking if we needed refills. The restaurant almost has a jazz feel to it. Not horrible. Their customer service is decent and the chicken is fresh. The fries could have been as fresh as the chicken but that's rare in the fast food industry. I mean, you're making me wait 15 minutes for my wings, which is understandable, you can at least give me fresh fries. After the last fiasco with this place I said that I would never go there again but they were having a chicken and waffles special and my wife likes chicken and waffles so I gave them another try. Put my on-line order in 45 minutes before pickup time. Got there and no order. Endured 4 separate people asking me my name, spelling my name, showing the order on the phone, pointing to my name on the phone and no action and finally got tired of it. Got the manager out of her office and supposedly will get a refund in 7-10 days. Worst part of this was it is obvious that no one there cares about the customer at all or that they didn't have my order. Just like last time 10-12 people standing around BSing or sitting in the dining room and eating (maybe that's what happended to my order). This is one of the best chicken places in Amarillo. I got the garlic parm shaken tenders and they were actually amazing. 10/10 would get again. But the second time that I went I thought I'd try something new AKA the fried pickles. The pickles were okay at first but I soon realized they were WAYY WAYY too salty. I'd recommend adding less salt to the fried pickle batter before I order them again. First visit to Slim Chickens and we had a terrible experience. The food literally took 19 minutes to get to our table and the fries were still not fresh. The table next to us came in after us, ate and left before we were served our food. The owners of the restaurant need to fire Brendan the manager and hire someone that knows how to run a restaurant. They close at 10pm and at 9:45 they had the chairs pushed aside and they were running the loud floor cleaning machine. They had the beverage center closed down, so no more lemonade, and when I spoke with the cashier she said they are trying to get out early.
