The people didn't seem even remotely happy that I was there, there were only 4 men already eating and myself, they seemed rushed! I decided to try their new mashed potato poppers, $3.99 for 5 with gravy, I had to go back and ask for the gravy and she had to look it up if I got anything with gravy!! They tasted like CRAP & the gravy was watery!!!!!! The chicken tasted like it was left over and heated in the oven, I'm sure it was because the wing and breast stuck together and I KNOW you don't cook them at the same time!!! I received coupons in the mail, so decided to try them again after a so-so experience at a Fort Worth location years ago. This was by far the worst chicken I have ever had. I purchased a 10 piece "bucket" that was so greasy it was inedible. I tried putting one of the pieces in the air fryer and all that did was changed it to greasy, extra crispy. Unfortunately, it turned out to be expensive dog food If you're driving east or west on 34th, save yourself the gastric distress, just keep driving. I stopped by here a few nights ago, partly just to try it out because I hadn't been here in the whole time I've been in Amarillo, 2 years, and partly because I was looking for a small cheap meal just to hold me since I'd already spent money getting breakfast in the morning. I was going to get the Macaroni Bowl that included chicken because it looked fairly good in the picture but then I found out it was Wednesday which is their chicken fried steak special day and you can't hardly go wrong for $2 for a chicken fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes and a biscuit. All were actually quite good. The gravy was better than some of the more expensive places I've had it. I would definitely have it again. I don't know if they have an option for biscuits and gravy but that sounds pretty good. The biscuit was wonderful but I've always liked KFC biscuits. The potatoes were surprisingly good for being instant mashed potatoes. I don't remember KFC potatoes being very impressive in the past but these were quite edible. Other than the fact that it probably wasn't super nutritious and had way more sodium than is healthy it was a pretty good tasting meal. And in spite of the fact that I know it had to have sodium in it, it didn't taste overly salty, something I feel could ruin a meal. Next time I need a cheap meal maybe I'll stop by and try that macaroni bowl for $5. If I don't like it I don't have to order it again. I forgot to ask if they have a senior discount. They probably do and I always forget to ask. Some kind of senior I am, huh? I asked if they had anything like a piece of chicken on a biscuit and found out they do have a small sandwich for $2 although it turned out it was on a bun not a biscuit but it still tasted good the next morning for breakfast. Update: I stop by for days later on Sunday to try out the macaroni Bowl. It was supposed to be a quick meal on the way to the movie but I was running late and didn't make it to the movie. The second experience wasn't nearly as good. The lady at the counter wasn't friendly or Pleasant at all although younger girl that I encountered later, Crystal, was as sweet as could be. The macaroni Bowl head popcorn chicken with lots of breading and Less meat and was pretty salty as was the macaroni, much more so than the chicken fried steak had been. It included a cookie and a drink. I got root beer. The cookie was your standard mass-produced chocolate chip cookie that wasn't anything to brag about. I also got a side of coleslaw and it was pretty much as I remember KFC coleslaw being , pretty good but very sweet . I never realized they added sugar to their coleslaw until I saw a knockoff recipe once . Because I filled out the survey from the last time I was here I got a free chicken sandwich which I ate the next morning for breakfast and it was super super salty, extremely dry and tough. I'll probably go back at least one more time to try the chicken and see if it's as good as I remember it. I have found the KFC chicken to be good in some cities and not so great in others so we shall see. read more

There's this black American lady here wearing eye glasses that is SO MEAN to the customers. SHE SOUND CONDESCENDINGLY MEAN DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PROVIDE PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am surprised she's working in this kind of job, customer service. There was a homeless who purchased something and was asking for some food and SHE WAS SO MEAN TO HER! First of all she needs to provide a better customer service since the homeless person paid and just want to clarify something or just asking for some food. Second of all, SHE NEEDS TO BE COMPASSIONATE to the homeless person, IT'S GOOD SHE IS NOT HOMELESS so she need to treat other people who are in a dire situation. I AM CALLING THE ATTENTION OF THE KFC MANAGEMENT. Ordered through Yelp, the food was ready when I arrived however no one knew it was mine. I asked for 2 legs in one combo and did not receive it. I asked for potatoes without gravy; it had gravy. I asked for dipping sauce for tenders; did not receive it. I received no napkins or utensils or was asked if I needed any. No one knew if I had drinks. I had two Diet Pepsi's, and they were flat. I've tried to get 2 pot pies 3 times now, most times about a week apart and each time was around 5pm and each time they say they are all out. The last time they actually had pot pies, I had to pull out front and wait 30 min to get them while other customers behind me were getting pot pies before me. At all costs avoid the KFC on 34th. While in the drive through I had to give my order four times. Then after paying I was told they were out of Mac and Cheese. When I requested a refund Mac and Cheese magically appeared. Get home and our 12 piece chicken was 11 pieces seven of which were wings. I called told her I wasn't coming back and never returning again and I wanted a full refund. I was told I had to bring back the food for a full refund. 8:00 hungry family not many choices. The cashier overcharged me and I made her fix it which probably made her mad and she purposely screwed up my order. Good food, fast service even on a special deal night. We ordered the Tuesday night special, Chicken Fried Steak for the family. Quite a deal at $1.99 a plate. Went through the Drive Thru and they were fast and friendly. When we got home the food was good and hot. Only complaint I had was the CFS was a bit on the salty side.
