Wife and I stopped in here on our honeymoon on 15 May 2019. We came in at around 545. She ordered the two slice special with coke and the Chicago cheese with standard supreme slice. I ordered a custom calzone with cheese, mushrooms, onion, chicken, and pineapples. Long story short service and food was amazing. I did burn the roof of my mouth with the calzone as the cheese was scolding but this was my fault I was just too hungry. Not too much ricotta on the calzone either. Come here and be impressed. This pizza bears fuel pizza in Charlotte. And the calzone is the best I have personally had. I am a fan of Stromboli's and calzones. The drink machines are clean as well. And if you're one person the calzone is huge. You will want to request a box! read more

This is pretty good for beach pizza. Now York style pizza at a decent price. It's not the best I've ever had, but far from the worst. It's not really a sit down restaurants, it's more like take out and counter service with a small bar. If the weather is nice their patio has a few extra seats. My only real complaint is they refused my AMEX. read more

This is how good Slice Pizzeria is. While out earlier in the day shopping we got 3 incredible recommendations from various people to go to Slice, 2 from locals and 1 from an out of towner all in the span of 5 mins maybe. So how could we not try this place after that? I'm so happy we did. We get to Slice and each decided to try a couple of slices apiece and from the first bite, we were in heaven. Everything from the toppings to the cheese to the melt in your mouth crust was to die for! We enjoyed Slice so much that we bragged about it all night long to the other members of our vacation party and the next night ordered 2 whole pies for dinner. Everyone was in agreement on our choice with Slice being the best pizza on the OBX. We love Slice so much we even purchased t-shirts from them as well! read more

If I had to pick one word- it would be FABULOUS! You cannot go wrong with the pizza. We had a pineapple/pepperoni Pizza and the Natural Gourmet pizza and that was mouth watering. If any of you can buy more than one pizza, make sure this is one. I have a four year old son that is a picky eater and yet he ate two full slices of pizza. The slices are large and of good size. You won't be disappointed!!! Enjoy!!!!! We stayed at a hotel 2.5 miles away and they did delivery. I had a slice of cheese pizza and their homemade lasagna. I really thought the pizza was excellent. Definitely was a NY style pizza. As for the lasagna, I thought that was very enjoyable. The meat was mixed with the ricotta and flavored just perfectly, while the sauce and pasta fit so well with the mozzarella that was nice and crispy on top. Coming from NY, I guess I'm unintentionally a little harder to please when it comes to pizza. I decided to have the Chicago style pizza and I thought it was okay. I thought it needed more sauce for my taste. The rest of the family I was with loved the Chicago style and the meat lovers pizza they got. As for staff, I tried asking one of the girls who worked there for something and she ignored me at first and then when I asked again, she snapped something at me as she zoomed by. I knew she was busy and I didn't mind waiting for what I was asking for, I just thought it was rude the way she went about talking to me. Another guy I asked was much nicer. It's a very tiny place so if you're coming with a group you'll probably have to sit outside like we did. Perhaps it was our selection "natural gourmet" which was a very plain Jane Margherita pizza. The pizza by appearance was glorious (see pic) but upon first bite "meh". Sauce was not sweet not diverse but rather tasted like a spaghetti sauce with favors blended in so deeply nothing stood out. Cheese was very good for what there was -fresh mozzarella but never enough and bland by design. What really missed was the lack of pop-from basil or any other herbs that could have been present. Crust now had the opportunity to take back some prowess however it stood flat- actually firm by most pizza standards like cardboard holding the pizza up as you held the slice- however taste again fell flat. I actually left the crust which I never ever do... In short this gets 3 instead of two due to atmosphere on pickup- great selection of pizzas, the wings were pretty good (4's) so overall a three.. read more

Delicious! three of us ordered by the slice pizza and tried the margherita, veggie and plain cheese (our 8 yr old's of course). They were all delicious, specially the margherita. The crust is not thin but not thick either- just right. Place is not stingy w toppings. We said we'd go back again before our vacation's over. We went there last night for some pizza. We didn't want leftovers as this was our last night in the OBX so we settled on a couple of slices. When I got to the counter, I ordered my husband's Chicago Pepperoni & Sausage. Next I asked for my slice of regular pepperoni & sausage and he told me they don't do slices for that kind... I told him it was on the menu so he went and checked with someone and said he didn't know they were serving regular slices of pepperoni & sausage. A little weird if you ask me. I also ordered a slice of pepperoni for our son. About 7 or 8 minutes later they brought out my husband's and my order and said nothing about the pepperoni slice. We waited a minute or two so I went up to the counter to let them know we were supposed to have gotten a slice of pepperoni. The female that was up there seemed annoyed that I went to ask about it and said it would be out in a minute. Once we got our slice I realized I hadn't grabbed a fork to cut up my son's slice. Went up to the beverage station and there were none. I asked a guy behind the counter for a fork and he said to go check over by the bev station. I let him him know I had already checked there and he still went on to tell me they should be over there. (During all of this, the same chick who I mentioned early, was stocking napkins at the bev station. She clearly could see there were no forks and never stocked them after she was done with the napkins.) The pizza tasted fine; better than chain pizza (pizza hut, dominos, etc) but a little greasy on top. As others have posted, it definitely was heavy on the cheese but not too saucy (which is great for those who bring young, messy children). When we come back to the OBX we probably would only eat here again if it was off season and there weren't any other restaurants to choose from. read more

After a long day of driving with 3 little ones, Slice was recommended to us as something quick and easy. Seating is very limited unless the weather is nice enough to eat outside. The tables are a first come, first serve, pick your own table type of deal. It was so crowded and everything outside was wet due to rain so we originally ordered our food to go. While waiting, a table opened up so we grabbed it. The cashier/waitress seemed to be too busy to be bothered to accommodate our request to change to eating in and told us that we'd have the boxes to take leftovers anyways. Made sense but we weren't given plates or anything. Aside from this annoyance, the pizza was great! We ordered a margherita pizza and a pepperoni pizza. They were super hot and fresh from the oven. As a New Yorker, I have super high standards for pizza. Believe it or not, I actually think this is as good if not better than any slice of pizza I could get in ny. The actually pizzeria is super nice and the staff is kind. For the summer months there is cool outdoor seating if you're going to sit down rather than do takeout.
