In my opinion, this is hands down the best pizza around! The meatball sub was good. The spaghetti was really good. The Italian cold cut was not very good at all. I hate olives and when my Italian cold cut arrived it was loaded with black olives. I had a hard time eating it because even though the olives were taken off, the sub still tasted like olives. I didn't say anything because we were in a hurry. I did ask for oil and vinegar which was missing, so maybe she thought I said olives. They don't even sound anything alike. This is the reason why I am only giving 4 stars. I think it is important to repeat the order back to the customer so these simple mistakes never take place. read more

Grabbed a few slices for each of us the other day. Good prices - from $2 Something for cheese, to $3.85 for bacon ranch, and all 5 of us liked what we got. Oh, $2.95 for 6 good sized garlic rolls with crushed garlic on top. Clean, hand sanitizer available, tables outside for eating. Only accepting credit cards at the time - I think bcs cash is so germy. This pizza was not terrible but it just was not great.. We got the calzone with double pepperoni and it had barley any on it! We got a supreme pizza which had almost no cheese on it and the bell pepper slices were huge.. would give it another try... maybe it was just an off night.. read more

I have been to Slice before and they have a great pizza. Today was my last visit. I watched the cook go from preparing pizza to emptying trash, busing dirty dishes, then back to preparing pizza. All of this without hand washing!!!! I had already ordered. I didn't want to make a stink. Everyone else went silent. I took my order to go and threw it away. YUCK!!! They obviously don't have a policy on hygiene here. It was disgusting to watch. Hopefully after they see this gloves or hand washing will be instituted. All the preparation is done in front of everyone so you would think they would emphasize hygiene. read more

RUDE cashier and they make and box the pizzas with their bare hands. Yuck! Didn't give us the correct slices we paid for either. Paid for extra toppings and tried to give us a plain slice. No waiting area so you're constantly moving around to stay out of the way of the workers and the other customers. Packed 4 slices in a box meant for 2 slices so the cheese and toppings were stuck to the sides and top of the box. Too bad, the pizza isn't half bad. :-( read more

There's a reason there's always a line and a crowd here and it's because the pizza is AMAZING. Lots of places claim to have fancy pizza ovens, etc., but Slice is the only place that actually tastes like it. Every time we visit the Outer Banks, Slice is one of our mandatory stops (and sometimes we need to visit more than once)! Stopped here after seeing it's recent review of #1 pizza in NC. I believe it lived up to that standard. Your typical New York slice. Had a nice crispy crust with soft dough and amazing sauce. You can buy by the Alice there as well and it will not hurt your wallet at all. I've been going to the outer Banks since I was a kid and wish I had stopped here sooner now. The inside is small and there's no place for people to wait, and no "pagers" so they can wander off. The result is a bunch of people standing around in a small space. Also, they advertise "Chicago deep dish". Well, it's not. Chicago deep dish is a casserole with the toppings inverted and a double bake. This is not. Very clean and nice variety of pizza. It's unfortunate that you can't eat inside anymore. Since COVID they took the tables away they had. No seating at all anymore! You have to take your pizza with you and can't eat there. That's the only bad thing about it. Last pizza we will ever order from here today! Called in order, knew they would be busy on National Pizza Day, so it would be ready when we got there- 25 to 30 minutes. Waited an hour- at store, TOTALLY unorganized. Watched people come in after us, no order, so they took plain cheese and added extras, probably with my pizza! No order to tickets, just shoved onto "rack" in empty slot. When hubby finally asked again, guy said "oh yours got shoved to back!" Told him to make me another one, which he reluctantly did. Offered me "shoved to back one" NO THANKS! Last summer they took our order, waited 30 minutes only to find out they hadn't even started order! Hubby would not wait so we left! Got us for $18! The pizza was pretty good, nice crust, good sauce but the pricing was ridiculous. They had signs up in the restaurant about slices of pizza for one dollar which is nice but we ordered a 14" cheese pizza, and they charged 2$ a topping for "regular" toppings (mushrooms, onions etc) and 3$ for "premium" toppings (roasted peppers, fresh basil). The plain pizza was about 15 bucks and with toppings it came to around 25, and the taste of the pizza was really not worth the price. We also order cheese sticks and they were soggy and nowhere near fried long enough. The place was okay but I probably won't go out of my way to go again. read more

Been here a few times now and it continues to hit the spot. The Chicago Pepperoni, a deep dish variety, is now my absolute favorite. Delicious and crispy crust to go with just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. There's also Chicago Pepperoni and Sausage, and Chicago cheese. This review is strictly for the deep dish pizza, as the thin crust pizzas I ordered to go were sadly destroyed in my car. Alas, it is my fault and I have no choice but to accept full responsibility for the destruction of these masterpieces. Still, the handfulls of dough and scalding hot cheese were incredible. Anyway, while I was waiting for these poorly departed pizzas to cook, I had a slice of their deep dish pepperoni pizza, and I do declare, it was one of the best slices I have consumed yet to date. AND I EAT A LOT OF PIZZA. Trust me on this one. This is the best pizza I have ever had here on the beach! I'm someone who avoids what I call the pizza bones because they're usually flavorless yucky dough sticks, but that's not true with a Slice pizza! Even the crusty bones are divine! I like to order the garlic dipping sauce for them as an added treat. My favorite is the margarita pie. And they deliver! I'm saving my pizza box tops and almost have enough for a free pie! read more
