Love this concept it is such an upscale experience! This space is for everyone! If you love wine, live music, and a bougie classy vibe-- then keep reading! If you're counting coins, this may not be for you! This is a great place for a date night with the live entertainment, a patio and fire pit, and the food just perfect enough that you don't want to over do it, but easily can! I love that you can hear the other person talking across from you. THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY SUPERB! The flavors are PERFECT and everything is seasoned to perfection! The presentation is amazing and the details are everywhere! So excited for this new establishment in the valley-- it almost transports you to experiences you are likely to have in Atlanta, NYC, or LA! Our favorites were the devilish eggs, "pleasure" shrimp cocktail and fresh lobster, and the caviar! WOW the caviar with the cucumber was next level!!! So fresh, buttery, smokey with a light salty finish? That was a first for me and won't be the last! Slate by Nik Fields is THE hottest upscale experience in the dessert! Don't cheat yourself treat yourself!!!

Been waiting for Nik to make her way back since Chic Chef in Tempe. Pros: The new location has a great ambiance both inside and out. Quaint details that allow for an aesthetically pleasing vibe whether on a date or out to brunch with the girls. Service was on point. Staff are attentive and friendly. Cons: Menu is pricey and prices are not shown. So I'd advise to inquire if you don't want surprises with the bill. The menu is not extensive. All apps are shareable with one main entree. Also, the gratuity is automatically included. Which you typically don't see for small parties, so that was a surprise as well. Overall a pleasant experience. But $100 for 2 apps and 1 drink is a bit much for this location.

Stopped in for Valentine's day dinner and I love the location because its where Timo was located. Overall, my friend and I enjoyed the experience (the love band, our server/experience curator) everyone was super great and I appreciate the service. Great location and Great location an ambiance should not equal automatic gratuity and the bill we paid. I literally could have went to Steak 44 and had a full meal by myself for the amount we paid, the drinks were not strong, the food was ok and the caviar was double the amount for the 1oz jar (I had the same thing at the Global Ambassador and it was cheaper and better). I hate to compare but for me to not have had a solo meal and my friend and I still paid over $350 is ridiculous on top of that they didnt charge for our deviled eggs and we got two drinks for a penny so I dont know why it was so expensive. It boils down to adding the tip beforehand (which is horrible practice no place should do that for a tble of 2 - the quickest way to lose customers) please if you plan to over charge get more items on the menu, make sure the wedge salad has fresh lettuce and the drinks are not watered down. My friend and I split the bill and I cannot believe we both paid $191 and we didn't even have a meal to ourselves and 2 drinks Im still thinking... what did we pay for??

Visited Slate for the first time last week and what a pleasant experience. The outdoor space was such a vibe. The service was great and the food was amazing. Ordered the deviled eggs with shrimp and the charcuterie board. Both dishes were excellent. Definitely recommend this spot for either an intimate outing or just hanging with some friends. No prices on the menu which is a first for me so suggest asking prices prior to ordering. Also there were only 2 of us and the gratuity was automatically put onto the bill. I usually only experience that with a party of 6 or more. The staff and owner are very personable and professional. I would return

My favorite was The Devilish, the deviled eggs topped with Cajun shrimp.

The bartenders are SUPER nice. The happy hour deals are amazing. Sometimes there's a food truck. We got sliders that night and they were so good. Nice, big TVs to watch a game or in this case, find a new Netflix show to binge. Loved that they displayed local artists' works on their walls! And they have a lot of fun, themed nights like trivia or drag trivia! Also, super dog friendly with a patio out back. Definitely a fan! Cannot wait to keep returning!

What an underrated bar! Easily my favorite bar in phoenix. I'm shocked this doesn't have way more…read morehype. If I lived in phoenix, I'd be a regular for sure They opened during Covid and are relatively new but they got all their cocktail drinks on lock. Every drink we've had has been amazing! My favorite is the lavender fog and the mulled wine (which is only available in November) The service is awesome and the bartenders are so chill and down to earth. This bar also has live music on saturdays, trivia's and game nights. In fact, at every table, they have a deck of cards against humanity. At the entrance they also have a variety of other games like connect four, jenga and such. Lavender fog: great balance of lavender and earl grey tea! The foam is the best creamy touch to the drink. I feel in a relaxed daze when I have this drink. I think it's the most special one here. It was even featured on a magazine! Pour favor: I don't like mezcal but this was nice. The mango puree was prominent which I loved and was well complimented with sour and spice. This drink style is a little more commonly found in other bars too which is probably because it's popular! Indoor smoking: smoky, cool and well done twist in the old fashioned. They prepare it in such a cool way with the smoking process and the delivery is great. SMOOTH old fashion. It was alcohol forward but I didn't feel any burn that I normally get from any common old fashion. It also had the best citrus aftertaste The sunny slope sour: great if you love whiskey sour. I loved this drink the pear and peach made the whiskey taste less harsh. One of the better renditions of whiskey sours I've had My brightside. Bitter but works so well with watermelon! Refreshing, balanced and delicious. I typically don't love Negronis but I loved this rendition. The nanny: mezcal espresso martini that was also well done. You can also taste raspberry and chocolate every sip Mulled wine: hot wine with spices that I argue was better than the mulled wines I've had in Europe. All the spices and aromas were so complex yet cozy for a chilly night! The bartenders treat their regulars well and seem to really have a great community here. With offers for movie nights, paint and sip, jack box games, wine club, etc

Honestly, everything stood on its own without needing wine. The carrot dip, paired with a great selection of vegetables, was a refreshing way to start. As someone who loves sweet potatoes, the sweet potato with green harissa is a must-order. We'd never had chips with serrano ham before, but they were surprisingly addictive and disappeared fast. The highlights of the meal were the duck breast and the pissaladière (puff pastry with anchovies). The duck was tender and flavorful, and the pissaladière was a standout. Who knew anchovies on pastry could be that good? We ended with the ricotta cake with poached pears, which was light and not overly sweet. It reminded me more of European or Asian cheesecake than the dense, sugary American style. The ambiance is chic and thoughtful, with great use of color. Loved the details, from the tiles to the furniture to the typography. Service was excellent, and it felt like the founding team was actively running the place. The menu changes seasonally, which gives us a good reason to come back!
