I love this new location in Powell, very convenient for me. Nice and new!! The staff was amazing and just so incredibly kind. They need a Pat on the back for sure and a major good star. The food was bomb, of course. I had two cheese coneys with onions on them and a 4-Way with onions. My usual order since I was a little girl!! The inside of this location is nicer than a brand new home. So beautiful inside..I forgot I was in Skyline!! You bet I will be back. Thanks for my new experience Skyline!! read more

Yeah yeah, either you love it or you hate it. Personally, I love it. Fresh is better over canned, in my opinion, even if you can duplicate it at home. I have been coming here forever, and as long as they're open, I will keep coming back. Friends, pickup, pre-covid, current covid - they have been killing it with service. It's been consistent for me - and it sucks everything has to be bagged individually (I mean, good for health reasons and sanitation, bad for the environment). I mean, it's Skyline. Can I give this no stars? The food made me sick. I had to ask three times for silverware and a napkin! Waste of my hard earned money.

Food is really great here but the person who I assume is manager of the place is absolutely horrendous. I've seen her berate employees on not one, but two occasions. Tonight I saw a waitress ask her to hand her something for another customer (manager was just chit chatting with another customer while their food was being prepared) and the manager snapped at her and said she needs to not interrupt while she's talking to others. The manager then went and plopped herself down at the counter with a giant soda and whipped her phone out. She just sat there scrolling through her phone and barking at the workers. Like I said, this is the second time I've seen this person be rude but this was by far the worst. They should really evaluate if they want this woman in front of customers and/or managing people. No wonder they're always hiring, if I were our waitress I would have walked out the door. Food is always good but not worth having to watch these poor workers get verbally abused. read more

We just ate this Skyline. Food was ok. Waitress was not friendly. I ordered some chili to go. When she handed me the container it felt like it was empty so I opened it at the counter. I asked her if I could have a little more and she said no I put 3 ounces in there. I thought I would get a little more than that for 2.19. Brought it home and measured it and it was only one ounce. This is normally the only skyline that I go to. I drive all the way from Gahanna to eat at this location when I have one about 2 miles from my home. The advantage of doing that is now no more after the last visit. The food was good, as usual, however, it has come to my attention that refills are no longer permitted at this location. I talked to the manager and he said due to increased costs, refills and to-go refills are no longer permitted at that location. Hopefully the owner knows with this manager is doing? read more

My wife and I visited this Skyline location for a late lunch earlier today. When we walked in, the restaurant had a good crowd with customers seated throughout the restaurant. We sat down in a booth in the area to the left as we entered through the door. We were seated for a couple of minutes when we heard a young man rudely yelling from the cashier area that this section is closed. Please note, there were people seated in the booth next to our booth, and also at nearby tables. He said there were chairs put in place to block the section, but someone must have moved them. There were no signs that the area was closed, nor would we expect an area to be closed when people are seated in the area during a Sunday lunch hour. He said we could relocate to the area right of the entrance or in the area in the back of the restaurant to the left. This situation really upset me. First, we would not expect a section to be closed during a Sunday lunch hour. Second, why would a section that is convenient for customer seating be closed before a more inconvenient area (back left)? Third, why would you require seated customers to relocate? Finally, use some signs instead of placing chairs to close a section. I am sure the chairs were moved out of the way by customers that were seated in the section when they left the restaurant. We have visited this Skyline location several times in the years, both for carryout and in restaurant dining. Due to this situation, we told the young man that if they would not serve us, we would go somewhere else, which we did. Please note, I will not return to this Skyline Chili location, and I am inclined to remove Skyline Chili from future options. There are too many restaurants that practice good customer service, which is apparently not as important to Skyline Chili. read more

We decided to stop in after seeing the peppermint cheesecake ad on the window. And we both love chili. I love that they give out oyster crackers for snacking on! I got a 4 way and he got a few coneys. Always impressed with the amount of cheese! It was pretty quiet when we got there but picked up upon us getting ready to leave. I got a small 4 way and was kind of disappointed in the size. Very small, you guys weren't kidding! $5, not necessarily a rip off but was definitely expecting more. I realize the food is mostly already made but I do enjoy how quick it is to come out. They had a sort of specials menu which had buffalo chicken dip as well as chili dip that I'm pretty excited to come back and try. And I love that they have ice cream novelties! Very cool. I can't wait to take my son here on kids night. My server maybe forgot about us as business picked up and brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert, which kind of sucked since we literally came in there for cheesecake. The food here is pretty cheap, I'm surprised this server wasn't interested in making our check higher. Especially if you offer funnel fries, chocolate cake, aaand ice cream novelties. Pretty easy sell if you ask me... The kids night, dessert options, and yummmy, cheesy chili earns a solid 4 stars, hopefully 5 next time ! The cheesecake said it came from cheesecake factory so I was expecting it to be great, pretty disappointing. And definitely not worth $5. read more

For over 20 years We always go to the skyline location on sawmill rd and have never had a problem. However we stopped to order dinner and wait for it.... When we got home the entire order was a mess. When we contacted the manager he said that we got what we paid for. When I said we ordered several items that were missing. At that point he hung up on me. when I called back he hung up again on me. Wow what an experience. I don't believe I would ever order from the sawmill rd again. Such inappropriate behavior. I asked for the owner's number. The manager said "I will not share with you". What a great experience! We had the privilege of meeting the owner and getting to know him. We had the Greek salad, cheese coney and a 3-way. Wow! Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The service was better than some of the other restaurants we have visited. We even learned how to eat the 3-way the correct way. Greek Salad- the salad dressing was delicious Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, sliced pepperoncinis, feta cheese, Kalamata olives and our original recipe Greek dressing. A CHEESE LOVER'S DREAM! I recently moved to Ohio and was introduced to Skyline Chili. It is a fun and unique restaurant chain and the staff at this particular location is very friendly every time we go. If you love cheese, you're in luck, they pile it on top of everything! I have tried both the chili cheese coneys and the threeway dish, and both are great. Their coney sauce is a beanless hotdog sauce and their hot dogs are small, I recommend ordering 2 or combining them with a small threeway order. The threeway is spaghetti that is cooked soft, covered with coney sauce and cheese. You can also add onions or I think beans to make your threeway into a 4 or 5 way dish. They serve oyster crackers to everyone who dines there. It is a full service restaurant at fast food prices. We like to go there on days when we want a decent meal but don't necessarily want to spend much money. You can get full without breaking the bank. It is a super fun experience for anyone who has never tried this chain before, and I highly recommend trying it! read more

Had to try the local dish that Cincinnati Ohio is known for. The Chili 5-Way. I don't know which restaurant invented the idea of serving chili on a bed of spaghetti noodles, but I've heard that Skyline is an Ohio institution. This is only the second time I've ever had a Chili 5-Way. The first being from Steak 'n Shake. I love em! Whoever came up with this idea was a genius. It's all about the chili. Skyline has a unique take on it. They add cinnamon to theirs. It's an acquired taste. I like it but could personally do without. I also tried their Coney Dog which again is where the chili plays the starring role. And good chili is integral when you're talking about a Coney. Everything was delicious and I would definitely come back. However, I would definitely like to try any and all other chili establishments in the state that specialize in the 5-Way. read more

First off I want to say we love skyline because the food is awesome and always hot every time we order from this location. Never had an issue with the food at this location and it's always been great. Normally I leave 5 starts and actually have never given a place a subpar rating before. The reason I'm writing this review is because of the service and sadly the level of service bothered me so much that I just wanted to give future customers a heads up. First of all we were doing carry out. With covid we haven't been dining out and we wanted something quick, hot, and close by so we chose Skyline. We've seen the reviews for this location prior where the service hasn't been 100% but have never experienced it personally and every time we have been, carry out or dine in, everyone has been very friendly and we have never felt rushed. Well this time we went to pick up and it seemed like they were fairly busy and they handed my husband his drink and it was partially filled. He chalked it up to the foam going down and taking up a it of space so he asked if it could be filled up a little more or if due to covid if they couldn't take the cup back to just have another one filled up. I'm guessing this guy was the manager who he asked literally looked at my husband and said "you must have drank it and we don't do refills" even though my husband had just gotten the cup from them and was at the counter waiting in full view of them. He was taken aback by this response and he was no I didn't you just handed me the cup and it looks like the foam took up a bit of space. My husband actually apologized to them saying "I'm sorry that I asked" for asking to be helped because he was so shocked by the response. The guy then rolled his eyes and filled up a kiddie cup and gave it to my husband. Like seriously dude? What's with the attitude, especially when someone isn't rude at all to you, politely asks, and you make accusations that are false when everyone standing right there can see that's not what happened. We discussed this after and just because of this and how we've seen them act before to different guests I think we're done with this location. Even though this is the closest one to us, if we want skyline we are going back to the Olentangy location because we never had any issues there and they are always super nice. read more

This is our "stand by grab a quick bite to eat place" during the week. We usually go on kids night as the kids meals are FREE and the have a fun craft for the kids. Skyline chili isn't normal chili. It's a Cincinnati style chili so it's a little sweeter. You either love it or hate it but it's worth a try if you haven't had it. This location is convenient and the service is ok. Food is served hot and quick. The one thing that I HATE is that they run their vacuum during dining hours. I hate it! I can't talk to my family and it's just distracting. read more

I'm seriously becoming obsessed with Skyline chili. I love their five-way...the chili sauce has some crazy good spices that I just can't seem to get enough of. This was my first visit to this location (thanks to the owners and Bryant for the yelp event!) but it was like the others...clean, nicely kept, friendly service. If you don't know what Cincinnatti chili is...basically it's spaghetti with chili on top and you get it with cheese, beans and/or onion and cheese. All of their ingredients are good and I generally get it five way (with everything) unless I'm dealing with the public, then I skip the onion. It's really good and I recommend you try it. A fairly typical version of a Skyline. They greet you at the door, tell you to go and sit where you like. Our server was polite and friendly. Drinks were refilled promptly, and our orders came fast. Like less then five minutes. Everything was in good order, nothing was stale or too greasy. They were also nice on the way out. If you like decent Cinncinnati style chili dogs and 3,4 or 5-ways. This is a good spot. Do be warned, it's in a shopping center, next to a deli and a Walmart, not in a stand alone building. Nothing personal against any particular location but "chili" over pasta and cinnamon, nutmeg or whatever flavored "chili" is the worst thing I've ever tried. I would compare the taste of the "chili" to let's say....... Doughnut flavored beef stew. Come on people, really? If you know how real chili is supposed to taste.... I don't get it to say the least. Chili should be meaty, savory, SPICY, NOT, whatever this stuff is but it isn't anything that I just described. I went to Skyline Chili on Sawmill Rd. in Dublin, Ohio. I placed 5 take-out orders. One of the orders came with small container of dressing. From previous experience, I knew I would need another dressing because I knew the meal was dry. To my surprise, I was told there would be an extra charge. Rather than please the customer, I was told that was the managers orders and she "signs our checks". They have it backwards, we are the paying customer and we pay their salary. Since their policy is unint6erested in retaining satisfied customers with such a small request, I will spend my money on businesses that do. I could not in good conscious recommend them. read more
