The subs are always delicious. The downside is that they're expensive. I have never been unhappy with any of their food.

So I heard today that they had a special " Mike Day " we went there and got a free steak and cheese sub. It was REALLY DELICIOUS! I never had been there before and was extremely impressed with the quality of food. Also got the chili and some fries all for 10$ that included tip 20% . Our new go to sub place. Thanks MIKE! Ate here on May 10th.....it was our first meal of the day. In less than 2 hrs of eating the tuna we got sick (vomiting/diarrhea)...symptoms lasted about 4-5 hrs....I sent an email just to inform them..received a voicemail stating that since no one else got sick that it was clearly not the tuna sub. It doesn't take much to be sympathetic, even if you feel we did not get food poisoning from your establishment.....but how you handle it make all the difference. We clearly will not return.....voicemail was a joke...you call as you are leaving for the day....and I can call back tomorrow if I want but don't call during lunch hours!!!! I have been coming here for a while. You all can probably tell just by seeing the amount of check-in's I've had here. I have never experienced what happened tonight. I ordered my sub around 7:20ish and waited like 30 minutes for my order to be done. Not only were the people before me were getting their orders quickly but so were the people after me. Needless to say, the employees saw me getting a little angry for sitting for such a long time. They in turn, all looked over and (maybe even asked the manager what to do) because they'd never kept a customer waiting for that long. He said give her a coupon to get her next sub free. They were so scared I would review them badly and give them bad feedback on their website. Although I'm not that kind of person. They didn't mess up badly they just kept me waiting for more time than I would have liked to stay for a to go order. My feedback if they are reading this, just work on time management. I know making each customer happy is probably priority here and keeping them waiting is not something you want just start making the sub as I tell the order then things would go more smoothly in the future. Had a large Hook & Ladder sub..... Terrible sub sandwich......meat was all mushy and not flavorful at all. Bread was dry and cardboard-like. The meat seemed like it was all processed product and not fresh at all, lettuce was soft and mushy like the meat. JM subs (you know who they are!) are the top tier and made from fresh products, this sub was not even close......tasted better from convenience store. The meat and toppings taste more premium and they use a real toaster to heat the subs which adds a nice crunch to the buns. When you walk in, you are welcomed with a group greeting - Welcome to Firehouse! You order at the counter and they'll either call your name for to-go orders or bring it to your table if you are eating there. I love the Turkey Cranberry sub and husband gets the steak + mushroom or meatball. We don't usually deviate from our usuals, but you can also build your own if none of the menu options look good. A large sub is usually $8-$12, but it's a very generous portion. You can also get a small or medium if you aren't extremely hungry. They also offer soups and salads. For those with a sweet tooth, cookies and brownies are your dessert options. The subs do take a bit longer to make, but it is so worth it! If you are in a rush, you might consider ordering online. I haven't tried it yet, but they do have a separate pickup location for online orders so you can skip the lines. This location also offers delivery. Consider downloading their App for the rewards program. You earn points with each visit and can redeem for free food. My second time at Firehouse Subs. I came for my birthday (thank you for the sub, you guys are great)! I got the steak and cheese and it was very good. I want to give it 5 stars because I appreciate the free sub on my birthday but it wasn't the best I ever had. Would I eat it again? I decided to try this place out today, not only because they're within lunch hour driving distance, but also because my notoriously picky boyfriend came home last week raving about their pastrami, and that guy is seriously judgmental about what constitutes good pastrami. I decided to heed his advice, and got pastrami on white. Oh man, I was not disappointed! It was hot, juicy, not overly peppery, and even though I prefer it thick-sliced, it had exactly the right flavor. Also, the manager came over to our table to ask how our meals were, and I always love it when they do that, since it means that they actually care about whether or not their customers are having a good experience. It's worth noting that they have at least 30 different hot sauces to choose from, so if you think spicy is nicey, then get yourself over to Firehouse and go hog wild. Okay, I'm a big sammich fan and I love Penn Station, but let me say after just one visit: Firehouse Subs is beyond amazing!!! Anybody can make a sub, but to make a stellar one requires quality meats, toppings, veggies and bread, all of which Firehouse definitely supplied. We ordered a large Hook & Ladder and a large Meatball sub and split them both. The Hook is a combo of sweet ham and turkey with Monterey jack cheese served slightly toasted. The lunch meats were thinly shaved and had tons of flavor, which blew me away since the sliced lunch meats at Subway and even Penn Station are usually flavorless and super wet. The bread was perfectly chewy and they really loaded the sandwich with tons of meat, cheese and lettuce and just the right ratio of condiments. Probably the best sub I've ever eaten, no lie. The meatball sub was equally delicious. Great quality meatballs packed tightly in an open face bread loaf, with provolone and Italian seasonings melted on top. Awesome marinara sauce that just made this one of the best Italian sandwiches you can get, especially at a fast-casual spot. The interior of this Firehouse Subs on Sawmill Rd. was super clean and even though they were really busy when we arrived at 1:00 on a Saturday there were employees constantly cleaning tables and interacting with customers with smiles on their faces (sadly so rare nowadays). They have a million kinds of sandwiches and chips to choose from, but I do wish they had hand cut french fries like Penn Station...that was the ONLY thing missing from our delicious meals. However, the subs were so large and we wolfed them down quickly so I guess a big pile of deep fried fries weren't really necessary at all! Dare I start off by saying Subway is better than Firehouse? Sure, this location is huge, the staff nice, service fast and its very clean here. For one its expensive for what you get. We paid $30 for 2 sandwhiches and a salad. Turns out the sub on a club that my son ordered was horrible so he brought it back. It had turkey, ham and bacon and since he said all those meats were nasty, there was not much left for him to try and with that a very unpleasant meal with a hungry child complaining, not fun. I had the chef salad and asked if instead on ham I could have sauteed veggies which worked out fine. Unfortunatly what i got was microwaved? canned mushrooms and lukewarm raw onions and they forgot the cheese and eggs. Later on I noticed I could have gotten the same salad for $3 instead of $6 just without the slice of ham and cheese (or in my case veggies) which really annoyed me. With that said, if you are not familiar with this location or with Firehouse, it can be a bit overwhelming at first, even chaotic. They staff have always been helpful. This location is not exactly laid out the best and likely contributes to the chaos. You order in the center section. Get your fountain drinks off to the right. Pick up your orders off to the left of the order (they will bring to your table if dine-in). Giving three stars because of the service. It was a busy Saturday lunch hour. Two of three cashiers were staffed when there were about 8 people in line. While standing there I looked at the sub crew - EVERY one of them was leaning back along the back counter just standing there ... watching everyone in line. This Firehouse is great! The food is always consistent, the service is friendly, the store is clean and the drink area is stocked. It's also nice to be able to round up to donate to a good cause when I'm out to eat. For two people, and rounding up for their foundation, my bill is rarely more than $20. I love the Italian sub! Plenty of mayonnaise and Italian dressing so it's not dry like some other sub places. The bread also has a good flavor. Being from the northeast, I never tried a firehouse subs until recently, when i moved to Dublin. Overall I like the concept and the sandwich choices are good, but I think i ordered the wrong sandwich. I opted for the smoked brisket with cheddar cheese, as per the cashiers recommendation. He said it is all the employees' favorite sandwich, so I was pretty excited to try it in light of all the hype. Unfortunately all i got on my sandwich was a heap of brisket (yes the portion was generous) with melted cheddar cheese atop a slightly stale tasting, non-toasted. I'm not complaining about the portion size because that wasn't the issue; i just felt the sandwich was uninspired and overall it lacked in flavor. There wasn't enough barbecue sauce and the bread was a big disappointment. I will say that the brisket was very moist and tender but it's just unfortunate that the rest of the sandwich significantly lacked in quality. I would consider returning to try a different sandwich because I see the potential in this place, but I would not recommend the brisket to anyone read more
