I ordered the Gyro Platter (Beef/Lamb) and received shredded chicken instead. This would usually be no big deal, I enjoy both types of meats. However, this chicken tastes spoiled. I called the store and explained I had received the incorrect order. The workers were genuinely trying to come up with solutions but none of them were possible for the limited time that I am in town. When I explained that the chicken tastes spoiled, the manager said that's the sauce he puts on the chicken and that's why it tastes bitter. I still think the chicken is spoiled due to the odor and flavor. I was able to call DoorDash and get a refund for the order. I'm giving two stars because the employees were nice. This is my third order with Gyro Express I have to say I've had nothing but good luck with your Express except this time. The meat was dry, although there was plenty of sauce. It tasted overcooked, but arrived cold. The fries weren't crispy like normal. I ordered fried mushrooms too, and those taste pretty good. I'm not going to give up on Gyro Express. This place is hit or miss at times. I get the chicken gyro and fries. The gyro is good. The fries are seasoned with I believe lawrys. Gyro is full of chicken. Veggies/toppings are fresh. My husband normally gets a traditional gyro, I've tasted it. It's ok, I'm just not a big fan of traditional gyros. Where they lack is in their consistency. The food should taste the same way every time. I've received my chicken gyro and it was traditionally made with an addition of some sort of sauce on it that tasted sweet. ??? Who puts random sweet sauce on the chicken for gyros?? The fries. Definitely frozen and from a bag, which is just fine. However sometimes they cook them to death!! Fries can be super hard, cooked so long that they're hollowed out and the color looks different if that makes sense. The service....I have nothing but good thoughts about the staff that works here. They've always been polite, and professional. Do I recommend this place??...yes. They're definitely worth a try. Try the chicken gyro ;) read more

The lamb is cooked to perfection, seasoned well and then sliced from the spool before being placed within a folded pita bread with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. Joseph is always fun and personable and makes this a good choice for a made-to-order gyro to take home. My order is always correct and I get extra seasoning salt and sometimes order extra tzatziki sauce. Yum! Yum! On occasion, with advanced notice, I can even get babaganoush. How exciting for those who love that as much as I do. There are several different sizes of dinners and platters. The platters include rice and a side salad, and soda. Man has this place fell off drastically. it use to be my favorite gyro spot but now the gyros are just not good anymore. They've consistently overcooked my chicken on my gyro the last few times and have drowned it in so much ranch that it is all I taste when I try to eat it. The gyros are good here. I also like the chz steaks. The chz steak meal comes with a large drink and it cost $9.99 which i think is a lil pricey. The gyro meal is $6.99 the food is hot but you will have to wait for it takes a long time because its made fresh. They also have inside where u can eat if you like. read more

Great little hole in the wall. The inside was empty but the drive thru was pretty busy. I got the gyro meal and it came with fries. The fries were seasoned well and the gyro was your typical gyro. Good sauce. Soft pita. I loved it. I happy danced while eating it. My dad got a Kabob meal with rice and a salad and he enjoyed it. LOVE THEIR GYROS!!! They are sooooooooooo good! I'm no gyro expert, but I know when something tastes good, and their gyros are amazing. The lamb is always perfection and love the raw onion, sauce and lettuce the meat is topped with. The onion rings are very good as well. Nice and crunchy (slightly greasy but they are fried so that's to be expected). The only knock of stars is because I think their fries suck. I used to come here when I lived closer and get gyros which are very good! I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. I eat a lot of chicken sandwiches but never had one here. It's called a chicken cheeseburger and has everything on it a deluxe cheeseburger would have instead of beef it's marinated chicken. The chicken is what made the sandwich it was very very good! I eat at this location a lot get the same thing every time. Today as usual i ordered my usual Steak sub with zucchini, horseradish sauce on the side. Pulled to window bill is $17.00 and some odd change. Told the guy I ordered all the time and the cost is 14.00 and some odd change. The menu outside still reads the steak sub combo $8.99, I know the went up to $10.99, today he stated the steak sub combo is now $12.99 & zucchini is 4.99. I was told the girl who rang me up charged me for a combo and separate order as zucchini, even though she repeated the order back, I still do not understand how you can repeat an order back then charge people for what they did not ask for. They are out of horseradish sauce, sierra mist is not working. I did not check my bag, big mistake I get to work and they gave me fried pickles, sub is smashed together, no mushrooms that I ask for. I am disappointed in the service, price and accuracy of my order. Not sure if owners have changed I did notice a lot of new faces. Used to be a really great place but has declined over the years. The last two times I have been here the wait has been really long (30+ minutes) and not because they were busy. Last time I waited in the drive through for 10 minutes without a response. And this time one of their workers was standing in the drive through just looking at the menu board... so I went inside and stood there for 10 mins without being acknowledged. I had a super (that is, normal-sized) gyro and fried okra. The gyro was a solid effort, if nothing special. The okra was great. My bro- and uncle-in law had gyros, souvlaki, more okra, and jalapeno poppers. Everything was good; the poppers were tasty but not particularly hot. I have been here a few times before, but I decided to come to back recently and get a gyro, fries and pop. The gyro was very good. A lot of seasoned meat piled in to a warm pita. The tzatziki is mild; the garlic is not overbearing. The lettuce and onions were very fresh and crisp. The fries were cooked just right. They were crispy not overcooked to the point were you could squeeze oil out of them. The guy making the food was nice and worked quickly as possible to get you your food. Even chatted me up a little. The restaurant as a whole is clean, but it could probably use new wallpaper and furniture. Not dirty, but it is kinda dated. Had this been my first time trying a gyro, I would have thought "Eh, it's okay, but nothing to get excited about." The flavors were good, but the bread and meat were just a little on the dry side. My daughter has been dreaming of this place since we were here for a soccer tournament in 2013. She thought it was as good as she remembered. Love this place. Customer service is off the charts. I've been coming here for years and every time I leave so happy that I intend to leave a yelp review and never do. Best falafel place for vegans. The falafel sandwich is the cheapest around ($4). Also, tzatziki sauce isn't vegan and most places don't have a substitute, but then the sandwich will be too dry. This place has two substitutes! The fries were just like all the other places in town, they must all get them from the same place. The Gyro was overloaded with meat, which is never a bad thing. had a great flavor to it.
