Came upon this little fast food joint while doing some grocery shopping and exploring the new Saraga market. Its definitely a casual drive thru type restaurant that focuses on fried foods and sandwiches. They have lots of lunch specials (daily until 4PM) that are $6 each and come with some sort of fried main, fries, and a tiny tub of cole slaw. I saw they have both fried chicken livers and gizzards, which aren't common offal dishes around here. I got the chicken livers and thought it was great, as someone who loves offal meats. The fries were also really good. As other reviewers have mentioned, they have a house seasoning salt they put over everything, which if you like it is great but if not may be an issue. Last night, I decided to try something different, a Philly Cheese Steak, which I have to admit was absolutely amazing! 5 stars for bringing much needed variety to Columbus and great tasting food. They're getting up to speed since they just opened this summer so it takes a bit for food to cook fresh to order but it's definately worth the extra 10 mins. I tried the Chicken Gizzards and Fried Fish both cooked really well and seasoning was awesome. I also tried the Corn nuggets my daughter attacked the container after she tried the first one and then rooted through the bag hoping i had ordered more than one box. The lemonade is tasty too. I have no complaints and will definately be back again. The prices are way cheaper than I expected, better go soon before they realize they can charge more for such good food. read more

We hadn't eaten there since they opened and really didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. My catfish was nicely fried and yet cooked all the way through without any sliminess. Don't normally drive down Hamilton Rd, so see this restaurant caught me by surprise. Sadly I wasn't able to try more than a couple of items to carry home. I ordered the Shrimp Sandwich for my wife, which came with fries and was a reasonable price. My wife's critique of the sandwich was that it tasted very good however, was a bit light on the shrimp and heavy on the banana peppers. She did concur with the earlier reviewer on the fries which were very limp and not browned much at all. I got a side of scallops which were actually fried perfectly and were hot and very tasty. I will certainly go back to try other items, especially the conch which is hard to find North of Florida. Despite a couple of issues and not more sampling, I think this restaurant deserves further visits. read more

It's about a dozen places in Columbus that cooks food like this: Deep fried, with some fries, and bread etc. You could personally do this at home yourself but eating out is all about convenience and most folks don't want their house smelling like fried fish and chicken. All the appetizers and sides seem to be from Gordon Food Services which is not a bad thing at all it's just that most folks can tell if something is bought from a place like this as opposed to them being homemade. The livers and gizzards are fried as opposed to pressure cooked, in which just regularly frying them, makes them hard and dry with the flavor of all the other stuff fried prior in the grease. If you've ever been to Royal, Sharks, Fishers, M&M, Peppers then you know what the food here will be like along with the "white powder" (MSG) sprinkled over all the fried food. It's literally just fried food yet the difference is that people are going crazy over this place like they've reinvented the wheel and they technically haven't. I guess this is just "new place" traffic as they did do a good job with the outside color scheme to draw folks in because the green and yellow stands out from any other business in the area. 3 Stars as I give them credit for their variety of menu with items such as Grouper, Conch, and Snapper etc that most other "fried food" places don't seem to have. Everything here is also fried fresh but this is the same at mostly all the other places as well. I just wish it something that truly set them apart from the competition and unfortunately there is nothing, other than variety. I'm not dissing them at all and the fried food is good but you could also deep fry a car battery and it would be good as well.
