OMG! Our server, Olivia was incredible!!! We are huge fans of her. This was our first time at Skyline. My wife had a chili dog w cheese and a salad. She loved it. The hot sauce was too hot for her, but I thought it was fantastic! I had the 5-way chili. It was just okay. I probably wouldn't order it again. I've had way better at home and other places. The go-to here is the chili dog. I will get 2 next time or the chili sandwich or maybe a bowl of chili. The restaurant was spotless and the manager spent a good amount of time checking up on us and making sure we were pleased. He was very kind. Great location and staff here. Wonderful people. Delicious food and amazing service!! I had never been to this location before and am so glad I tried it! Walking in and finding a booth by the window with my sister, brother, and amazing husband, we were immediately greeted by a sweet waitress who brought us crackers and drinks. She was so quick and thoughtful throughout our whole experience! The food was absolutely amazing and the interior of the restaurant added a special touch. Passing through on our way to Graceland and my car pulled to the right and exited the Interstate for Skyline. I can't argue with fate so we went in an ordered our usual: a 5-Way and 2 Coneys. We proceeded to devour our order; it's been quite a while since we last visited. This Skyline location is conveniently located right off I-75 just north of Dayton so we cannot drive by without stopping. The only negative is we can't really eat anywhere else or try something else. Was in town for work and decided to see what all the fuss is about. As a non-native, this concept is...weird. The food was fine and I'm glad I tried it but it's not something I would purposefully seek out again, if that makes sense. The staff was very friendly. I try to hit Skyline Chili every trip to Ohio. First time having a 3-way (spaghetti/ chili / cheese) at this location. It's was heavenly! And a well deserved treat after throwing heavy logs into a a chipper for the last day. The drive thru line was short. Some people think this chili tastes awful, but the recipe uses different spices than your traditional chili and may require an acquired taste. The origin of Skyline is a Greek family. If you've ever eaten Moussaka the spices are similarly added to this chili. The large drink was just 20 cents extra. Sure sign me up. Pandemic "take-out" is definitive not quite as good as it is when you eat it inside sitting down. read more

We dined in since we are traveling and Skyline is not ideal for eating in your car. 4 way with onions, multiple chili-cheese coneys. My friend and I had supper at the Beavercreek, Ohio, location on 4/14/2023 at 6:00 pm. TURN THE MUSIC DOWN -- significantly! My friend and I couldn't enjoy conversation at all. The manager on duty, M., was far too effusive and intrusive at table; she felt the need to ask about our lives and gab loudly with that chirpy "How're yer dinners tastin' for ya?" Please read the vibe, M., and adapt to the customers. Don't hang out; be brief and sincere. We both had the 3-way: spaghetti, chili, and cheese. We had to ask for knives. The spaghetti was boiled nearly to pulp and the food was cold. We just ate it because we didn't want the manager to come back. The chili was a bit too sweet because of the "secret" chocolate used in the recipe. It isn't a secret anyway. The cheesecake was frozen in the center. The blasting music and high-strung manager exhausted us. Please don't bother with this Skyline. read more

I stopped in for lunch after arriving in Dayton. I had the spaghetti. It was good. Loaded with cheese but a little watery. The staff was very attentive even though it was busy. I grew up in southwestern Ohio and Skyline Chili is in my blood. I flew into Dayton for work (now living in Fernandina Beach FL) and hopped on 75 south... I saw the Skyline sign and before I knew it I was sitting in the parking lot. The wait staff was Awesome and the cheese conies were spectacular. I had a 4-way onion for dessert. I have reviewed Skyline Chili before at other locations so this review will simply only be for the brand new Mac & cheese 3 Way. Totally worth it! The cavatappi noodles are cooked in a four cheese blend and with the cavatappi topped with the chili topped with the cheese, it was amazing and creamy! I wanted to order another one, at least I wanted to before my body told me to stop as I had already consumed two Coneys. I just love Skyline Chili every time I come to Ohio and definitely recommend everything they have, especially the coneys and the mac and cheese three ways! read more

Okay chili. Driving west across Ohio, we took a small detour (I-75 South) near Dayton and stopped for lunch at Skyline Chili, located across the street from Wal-Mart and Hooters. I was really looking forward to trying out some Cincinnati style chili over spaghetti. This restaurant offers full table service (seat yourself), takeout, and a drive-thru window. The kitchen area is open. We decided to eat in since eating chili can get messy. We started out with a Diet Pepsi and a Sierra Mist ($1.75 each) and given some oyster crackers. My friend ordered a Regular Coney without cheese (freebie on the day we went) and a Garden Salad ($3.29). I ordered the 5-Way Chili over Spaghetti ($7.29). The food was served fairly quick. The Garden Salad was pretty basic, romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes. shredded cheese, and a packet of dressing. The Coney was a disappointment, which was very mushy and tasted like a canned Vienna sausage. However, the 5-Way Chili over Spaghetti was a good sized portion with soft spaghetti, piled with a thick chili, onions, red beans, and a big mound of shredded cheese (more than plenty) on top. The chili was tasty, but okay to me, which was not too spicy. If you're a cheese lover, then this chili/spaghetti dish is for you! We were also given refills on the soft drinks during our meal to wash down the aftertaste. Overall a pretty filling lunch. I visited Cincy for work. When i asked what food the city was known for this is where we were told to go. I have very unusual taste buds so the whole chili on top of my hot dog was certainly out of the question. While you wait for your food they give you oyster crackers to snack on. I ordered 2 hot dogs with mustard and the chili on the side with jalapeño cheese. The chili was not what I expected. It was more of a soup you could actually drink with a straw; however the flavor was great! It was nice and spicy. The hot dogs are mini and they were ok. The chili has cinnamon in it. The story is that it is a greek recipe. The staff is very friendly. It's definitely worth a try if you are in the area. read more

Cheap and plentiful! This was my first time at Skyline Chili and it was not what I expected. I heard that while in Ohio I had to try it. I did not realize it was a chain and basically fast food. I figured that out the moment I saw the building. Not saying this is a bad thing, but I lowered my standards immediately. When you get there you seat yourself, but you have a server. However, at the end of the meal you go to the front to pay. I wouldn't say it is the best chili in Ohio, but it was good and cheap. I really liked the chili on the spaghetti noodles (it's called a 3 way). It is not really chunky/hearty chilli, but it makes a good sauce. I just wouldn't eat it by itself. I got the small, which is basically a kid size. I would suggest if you are hungry at all get a bigger plate. Weird thing is the kids meal 3 way comes with a drink and is cheaper! If I lived in Ohio I would probably eat here quite often. I would definitely suggest trying it for the experience, but don't take a date here thinking it will impress her! read more

This was my first visit to a Skyline Chili and I must admit I was very very disappointed. The staff was nice however The drive thru wait time was very long. And the food was disappointing to say the least, I ordered 2 coney dogs No cheese and what I got was 2 very very small hot dogs on very soggy buns and the stuff on top looked like a brown sauce. It was steaming hot like just came out of a microwave, the bun was saturated all the way through and broke when picked up. The taste was very gross. From the pictures it seems like they pile cheese on top of sub par food to cover the look/taste. Needless to say that I will never waste my time or money at Skyline again. I was reallly looking forward to trying this place out after seeing on a travel show episode. Driving up, I was a little hesitant becuase of outside apperance. Do not let it deceive you. The staff is really friendly and service is prompt. The staff took a momemt to explain the menu to me. I decided to go all the way and order the 5 way with everything on it. It was pretty good. I was mildly surprised how good it tasted. I usually find places that are shown on travel or cooking shows are usually a disappointment and over rated. I think the concept works well because it is relatively inexpensive, filling, and taste better expected considering how simple the concept is. A must do when visiting the midwest. read more

I'm used to really fast service when I go to a Skyline. Sit down and eat chili within 3 minutes it seems like. During a Saturday afternoon visit to this Skyline, we probably waited about 10 minutes before we were eating delicious chili. It's not a big deal, and definitely not a complaint. Simply, it's one of the only differences I could discern from this Skyline and others I've been too.
