we order quite often from the Huber Heights location! Here in the last few times we've had our orders screwed up and to stupid to call back because NOONE ANSWERS THE PHONE! So on 2/16/2026 we decided to order again. We ordered online. So I called to ask a question, i chose talk with manager,NO ANSWER and then called back chose #1 to speak with someone else, guy answered and asked me for my order and I responded that I had a question first! So I started talking and I was HUNG Up On Me! We ordered a $50.00 bill and paid for it and the ORDER was SCREWED UP! THEN NOONE wanted to ANSWER THE PHONE AGAIN!!!! I do know the MANAGER working that night but I'm not putting the name on this!!! The CUSTOMER SERVICE and food was nasty,not made to order and noone to solve the proble! we should have been able to got it made to order that Night! I even called another store to see how to get with someone, no luck with that either!! I tried calling again this evening and NOBODY WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE 2/19/2026!!! If I could give a zero I would. First off I gave a donation to the Fireman. I have ordered subs on Main Street in Dayton more than a handful of times! Being a Veteran I appreciate others and especially workers who volunteer because they never get enough appreciatio. Bottom line I ordered two steak sandwhich's one with extra mayo the second sandwich light everything. The sandwiches were soggy. I called back after spending 30.00 and I was basically told that you left the store and there's NO WAY that your sandwiches could be made wrong. Then the man working said,"the sandwiches would be soggy because that's how they come!!! LIE. I had never had a soggy sandwich from there, plus why are you making it persona! You have made it so that you have not only lost two customer. That's all I am willing to elaborate on. The training for custome service there should be addressed or something like this could have a lasting effect on this particular restauran. NOT SATISFIED and no customer should have to go through it. Incredibly slow, everyone behind the counter was entirely too busy gossiping to work at a reasonable pace. They were taking at least 5 minutes PER SANDWICH and there were 6 people behind the counter. I've seen a single employee at subway making food literally 10 times faster than these 6 people could manage. read more

Opened up the sandwich to add a condiment and to my surprise- I find what seems to look like pubic hair! While the food I ordered was really good, the service is not up to par with the Columbus locations. I was surprised that they do not bring your order out to your table, like the Columbus locations do. The ice in the fountain machine was also out. Yet, they had plenty of people working during my visit. The store was clean, spacious, and well lit. Guess you just expect a little more when you spend $17 for a 12" sub, cup of soup, cookie, and a regular fountain drink. read more

In the sub shop category, no doubt Firehouse Subs is 5 stars. Their friendly service is always superb and sticks out. The quality of the bread and toppings is high and always fresh. I typically get one of the turkey or Italian subs, and there has never been a mistake in my orders. I have ordered online a number of times for pickup, and the orders are always accurate and on time. My roommate and I tried this place out last night. I came in disappointed as I had my heart set on my favorite Mexican place, El Torro across the street, which was packed to capacity for their Taco Tuesday. However, the moment I bit into my sub, my disappointment went away. Seriously one of the best subs I have ever had from a fast food place! They definitely weren't stingy with their toppings either, that sub was packed full of goodness! I ordered the Chicken, Bacon, and Ranch which I HIGHLY recommend. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the price. A small sub and a med fountain drink came to $9 which was a bit steep in my opinion. I also wish they would specify what size the small, medium, and large subs are in terms of inches. Firehouse Subs is hands down my favorite place to go for amazingly delicious subs on the chewiest, most delicious bread in the world! I love the quality meats they use that actually have tons of flavor, and the Italian dressing they put on many of the sandwiches is just delicious. Steamed, broiled open face, or cold, these subs are mind blowing! This visit we split a large Hook & Ladder (a must during every visit) and a large NY Steamer, which was sooooo tasty. The shaved corn beef brisket & pastrami were so tender and the melted provolone cheese topped it off perfectly. I love that they have a million different hot sauce bottles and even A1 (yay!!!) to really make your sandwich pop just a little bit more, though it's not necessary at all...but still fun and delicious. Overall, Firehouse is such a tasty chain to visit and it makes hitting up Penn Station and (God forbid) Subway again seem almost impossible nowadays. I just wish Firehouse had the fresh cut fries and buttery chocolate chunk cookies that I love at Penn Station, then I'd never have to go anywhere else! read more

Stopped in for the first time today, and we'll definitely be back! My Italian sub was delicious- just the right amount of condiments and the flavors were great. I added banana peppers, which I'd recommend. I had Jalapeño Kettle Chips and a Coke Zero Vanilla along with my sub. My husband enjoyed the available selection of hot sauces. He chose one he's never had before and enjoyed the smoky flavor. The place was busy, but the staff was all working together to get meals out and keep tables clean. 6:20 on a Sat eve. Not busy air conditioned nicely on a hot summer evening. TV showing sports not loud and annoying. Greeted by a young man behind the counter very friendly and genuine. Order taker very efficient but not necessarily cheerful. Menu board is very straight forward except for the definition of "fully involved" which is on most items. You have to know where to look on the small 4sided counter sign covered by cups and partially obscured by business cards to see what it "involves" and what your other condiment options are. I wish it was more prominent. It takes some time to get your sub - this isn't a "subway". The turkey was noticeably "smokey" and the ham "sweet". Good flavor! (again - not a subway). A bit pricey for a sandwich meal so I won't be a regular but the experience was nice and worth the price on occasion. Keep up the good work - particularly the genuinely friendly young man making and delivering the subs. The girl behind the counter helping out with the blue / green hair can tone down her gripes about another employee. Not real appealing to customers seated nearby. read more

First time we have ever been to a Firehouse subs and been disappointed. The person taking our order acted as though we were inconveniencing her by coming in. This was the first time I have received a sub from Firehouse subs that left over an inch of bread with no toppings or meat. It was wasted money. We usually have excellent service in Huber Heights. Certainly hope this was a one time situation. read more

I'm on record as being a hater of Subway. I find that, for all their popularity, their insistence on using low-quality food items and their slapdash approach to sandwich-making just turn me right off. This goes double, when there are so many other places to get a high quality, reasonably priced sandwich with better ingredients. Firehouse Subs is just one such place. Tucked in a strip mall just beyond the majority of the shops and restaurants in Huber Heights, Firehouse provides a great sampling of classic hoagies made from tasty meats and cheeses. My favorite? The "New York Steamer" which features pastrami and spicy mustard. The meat is tender but still toothsome, with a peppery bite that wouldn't be out of place in a classic kosher deli. All of Firehouse's subs are served with a delectable garlic-dill pickle, which really hits the spot in between bites. Better still? Firehouse Subs is still pretty inexpensive. Jules and I paid maybe $1-2 more total than we would have at a Subway or the like and left full, satisfied, and having enjoyed much better flavor. Oh, and one last thing? Every time you ring out at the register, you're given the ability to round your bill up to the nearest dollar, donating the change to the local volunteer firefighter's hall. Alright, you know what? I really like this place. Came in tonight and the staff member that rang us up was wonderful. We got the New York Steamer again, and she suggested that we try it with lettuce, tomato, and onions. To get that on any sandwich, ask for "Kayla's special." Apparently this is popular at this location. That very same staff member checked on us after we were 10 or so minutes into our meal. Something that probably isn't required by their job, but definitely appreciated! That earned the last star. Customer rapport is always important. Thought we would try this place the other day since we were near by. The sub prices are rather high for what you get. I got the 8 in and there wasn't much to it. Hardly any meat or anything else on the sub and not very filling. The peppercorn sauce and bread was good. Penn Station and a couple other places are much better in my opinion. Worst service ever. An experience so bad causing me to write my first ever review on Yelp. Sunday afternoon about 2:30pm, they were not busy. Arrived and the four, yes four, ladies behind the counter were to busy discussing who one of them was dating that they did not even acknowledge we walked in. Finally got to order and the girl could not pay enough attention to us two take two orders without us repeating several times. Paid, got drinks, sat down and waited. After about 10 minutes food came out to another couple who were already sitting down when we walked in. 5 minutes later food came out to the guy who walked in behind us. Finally our food, almost 20 minutes after we walked in the door. There were only 5 customers in the whole place including the two of us. I ordered an 8" Italian. The problem is that there was only 6" of meat that was only half as wide as the bun. Stay way from this place. I was going to complain but the girl doing most of the goofing around was the manager. read more
