On a recent visit I had the best burger and fries from this place. The drive through can be a little slow but once you get the food and it is hot and fresh you can understand that the wait is well worth your time. Will be sure to visit again soon. read more

My son & I were craving a shake after lunch & ended up here. We ordered 2 chocolate shakes on the kiosk & sat down to wait. Since it was Happy Hour (2:00-5:00), we got our shakes HALF PRICE! The shakes were ready in less than 10 minutes & they were delicious. I will definitely be returning here when in the area. read more

I absolutely love steak and shakes. A lot of the locations recently have lowered their expectations but this location, BOY, the best food!! Every time I come here my food is quick and fucking delicious! 5 stars! You want steak and shake (and I know you do) come to the one in Huber heights Ohio! read more

Food came out as soon as we sat down. Everything hot and exactly as ordered. Ordered a milk shake for dessert, also out very fast. One of the better locations of this chain. Definitely will return. read more

Garlic Double Steakburger never misses. Fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious--just like always. The garlic flavor is on point and the burgers are cooked perfectly every time. Consistent and satisfying. Will forever be a go-to. read more

Steak ’n Shake - Garlic Double Steakburger with Cheese - Fast Food Near Me - Huber Heights, Ohio

Best burger I've had in Ohio. This was such a great meal and experience that I am looking into franchising one of my own. I genuinely am very impressed. This was an impromptu stop for me and my wife on our road trip. I wish I had a photo of the food, but we absolutely downed the food and shake as soon as we got it. NO SEED OILS! read more

Steak ’n Shake - Good food in my belly - Fast Food Near Me - Huber Heights, Ohio

Gotta be the best Steak 'n Shake I've ever been to. Very clean and food good and hot everytime. Must stop each time passing thru the state.

Terrible service! We we're overcharged $5 and got attitude from the person at the window and the manager(overweight mid 30s with a beard and half a sandwich on his shirt). Litterally everywhere has better service! read more

I go to the one in Huber Heights and they are consistently good. Their burgers are always fresh and delicious. The fries are fresh and hot. The service is great. I have no complaints. Next time I attend, I will attach a picture. read more

I eat at the Huber Heights location frequently. Very consistent good food quality and quick service. Post-covid, the kiosk ordering works much better than pre-covid waiters. Waiters were always slow to get orders taken and completed, and food could take forever to be cooked/served. With the kiosk ordering system in place, orders are easy to place and completed very quickly, which means your food is hot when you pick it up at the counter. read more

Drive through staff is always polite and friendly. Food is accurately made, sometimes they have you pull ahead after paying but never have to wait more than 5 minutes read more

98% of the time our order is wrong! They offer to replace your food if you bring the receipt in. We'll, they've gotten that wrong, too. And half the time we've already thrown out the bag, along with the receipt. Plus, who wants to run all the way back there while everyone else eats or their food gets cold!! Tonight I had had it so I called them AGAIN, and I wasn't as nice this time! I was mad!! And guess what? The so called manager there just laughed! We have had enough! Culvert has much better food, the service is good, and the staff is friendly. Besides that, they do a lot of charity work and give back to the community. I can't say the same about Steak n Shake at all. Their employees are rude, they are either not well trained or don't care, and obviously they don't care who they put in management! No wonder you never see them busy. Either shut it down or let some other company take over that has experience and cares. Doesn't even deserve one star. read more

Visited Steak and Shake in Huber Heights today, expecting a nice sit down lunch . We were disappointed to find that we had to order by kiosk. There was no one to help us (older folks) to customize our order. (Lots of finger prints on the kiosk...GROSS). When we spend money to go out to eat, we like to be waited on. Yes, we are old fashioned. (But if we are served, we are good tippers). We are sorry to see the diy trend extended to restaurants. No longer fans of Steak and Shake. read more

I can't believe I was treated so RUDELY on such a beautiful day. I ordered a double garlic burger combo for @$7 and a Frisco Melt sandwich only for @$6 which means that my order should have been about @$15 with taxes....somewhere within....so I had my little Yorkie dog with me therefore I asked them to only put 1 patty on the burger and the other in wrapping because I did not want her to each the sauce. The register person told me to hold on and then resited that my bill was $20. I drove to the checkout counter and then thought about the totals in my head and things did not add up so I asked her how did she come to $20....thinking that in error she added something on there twice or something. She was a young lady who was confused herself so she went and got another male to help her. He told me that because I did not want the 2nd patty that then made the sandwich a regular garlic burger. I told him that I don't think he was understanding me....I did want the 2nd patty....just not on the burger because I wanted to give it to my dog and I think garlic is toxic for a dog. He told me he could not make my sandwich that way and if i wanted it that way, he would have to charge me for a regular sandwich and charge me an extra $3 for an additional patty.....lol....I then said sir are you serious and he said yes I am..... I said sir do you hear yourself.....that sounds stupid....I want the sandwich just want you to leave a patty off then I immediately said don't worry about it......I'll take it and just take it off myself....no problem.....he then says Well you don't have to eat here.... I said EXCUSE ME....and my pregnant daughter who was craving Steak and Shake says mom let's just go before they do something to our food. She said I used to work for the one in Englewood and have seen some STUFF....mom let's just go.....he then asked the young lady had I paid and she said no and he told me good ....then that's that....so I then asked for his name and her very cocky told me he was the store manager, he gave me his business card as if to say.... I don't care about your complaint and concerns....contact corporate. Well I am reaching out to corporate. He is not a good representative of your values PERIOD. He was rude, did not listen to me, no empathy and extremely poor customer service and you wonder why there is an uptick of customer/employee argumentative situations. I was not asking for anything free....I was only asking for the party to be placed in the wrap/separate box....something.....and he was just so nasty about it.....it was very uncomfortable and demeaning infront of his staff and my daughter and I dont appreciate that type of behavior. He is suppose to be the BOSS....the LEADER....and he acted like a little 12 year old. I will not be attending that location, I'd rather drive an addition 15 mins to eat at that other location. I've never experienced this at Steak N Shake....they are usually very nice and even offer my 4lb Yorkie a Pup Cup......please address this matter before another employee/customer scenario surfaces.....because it will with the type of attitude that he has. I have his card out in my car but I think his name was Alec...tall Caucasian male Thanks read more

Wow! S&S has seen it's better days. Our experience today was lacking in any customer service and also in any quality food. You now enter the store to a sign informing you to order and pay at a kiosk. You now get your own soft drinks. The only human contact we had was when they called out # for us to come up and get our order. Fries were lukewarm and the burger a greasy mess. Just so read more

Haven't eaten at a Steak and Shake since they closed the Englewood store. Had a double burger and fries. The burger was excellent. They're bigger than they used to be. Fries are so so but the burger made up for it. Not the fastest drive through but friendly. read more

We stopped by for shakes burgers and fry's. The food came out fast & tasted good. Odd set up self order kiosk worked okay. Didn't expect that though. Place could have been cleaner didn't seem like AC was working or on. Self serving drinks. Cups are thin and straws where long went right threw the cup ugh. Ice dispenser didn't look clean. Staff seemed nice. Had to clean own table. No waiters all self serve. Prices should be less for that reason but that's not the case. This used to be a sit down restaurant with servers almost like a fast food joint now. read more

Get rid of the ridiculous QR code for the soda machine! You have to scan it every single time you want a drink or a refill, it's so annoying and causes such a back up, and you better be hasty you only have 10-15 seconds. Most people don't know what they are doing, this elderly woman was so confused and so my husband scanned our code for her twice and apparently you only get so many refills because when I went to get another drink it wouldn't take it so I had to ask and was just told yes you only get so many refills before it stops you. Seriously, soda is so cheap, if you're worried about people taking drinks who haven't paid put the cups in the back and call them out like they do the food and shakes! On the positive our food and shakes came out fast our order was correct and tasted good. read more

Went late on a Friday night with my family. We got seated quickly but waited a very long time for our food. When it came, my sister's milkshake wasn't brought out. About halfway through our meal, we were finally able to get the server's attention. We asked about the milkshake and if we could get refills (two of us had completely empty cups). She rudely stated that she was the only server and hadn't had time to make the shake. This is completely ridiculous as the shakes always come out with the other drinks. She offered no apology. Meanwhile, two couples walked out because they were being ignored, and one party actually sent someone to find the server and ask her for refills. There were two people in the kitchen area and one of them appeared to be a manager. She did absolutely nothing to help. She didn't even check on the dining room. My sister finally got her shake after the meal was finished, and even then the server practically threw it at her. Once again, no apology or even a kind word. The one and only reason I'm leaving two stars is because the food was good. But you can get good Steak N Shake food at any location. Avoid this one because it's a dumpster fire. read more

I so want to like this place, but this location is really struggling. Not fast, not great, just sad. read more

Don't come here, don't order from here. Horrible food service. Horrible customer service, too. I tried to talk to someone there about a mistaken order and halfway thru my explaining to her what was wrong, she interrupted me to tell me she couldn't/wouldn't help me. When I tried to continue with telling her (Nicole) what was wrong with my order, she got extremely belligerent and starting telling me, "Okay, then... Speak! Speak!" Calling corporate on this one. The huge disrespect was awful and Nicole said SHE was the manager! If this is how awful their managers are, this company isn't long for this world. read more

Worst Steak and Shake on the Planet! Went through the drive thru on 2/21/21 at the Huber heights location. It took half an hour for us to place an order of 3 small milkshakes, and get our food. We had to pull forward and wait after having waited forever already. After we finally get our 3 small milkshakes they are not even filled up. It was the absolute worst experience and I will never go there again! read more

Waited by the speaker tonight for someone to take my order. Only to make my order and have to pull up. I thought they were short on at Taft but when I gave my money the cashier was surrounded by at least 6 others. The car behind me kept reving its engine which was quite discomforting and eventually peeled off after the long wait. This one is totally different from Beavercreek. read more

Our waitress Katie was fabulous. The food came quickly and was delicious, just as expected. Thank you Steak 'n Shake!

If I could give this a negative 15 if I could. Whoever was working thanksgiving night into Black Friday at 3:00 am. A woman with black hair refused to sit us while she had a chat with her fellow co workers. After 10 minutes I took it upon myself to take menus and sit down. She told us to get the fuck out cause she would have been right with us. Whoever was that person was NEEDS to be demoted. I will keep commenting. We went through the drive through she told us to GET THE FUCK OUT? Great service. Miller lane will have our money now. I expect a free meal after this. read more

It was very dirty looking in there. Had to ask for the rest of the booth to be cleaned the seat and wall which was gross. Sitting there my husband is grossed by having to see the sweat of an upkept looking man drip into the food the kicker was the cottage cheese that was brought out this is when we said we are leaving. I'm disgusted that we drink from the cups. My cottage cheese I wish I would of taken a picture of the whole thing. But I didn't realize the other side of the plate had more different gross substances I noticed the dried finger spear mark the hair and the other gross discolored drips in the cottage cheese. Gag! read more

I love this place! We'll come in at like 2 am and still get great service. Inside joke: After you order your food, ask the waitress how many minnows she thinks would fit in the restaurant: just the dining area, not the kitchen and not the bathrooms. read more

Slow . Check your order before you pull away they usually don't get it right. Not going into details about this visit just not returning

Classic Americana fueled by thick, authentic milkshakes in a wonderful range of flavors, and juicy burgers with those signature crispy edges! When I go to a relatively fast food restaurant, you expect to have at least decent service and polite waiters and workers. Instead I had a group of impolite negros throw a fucking hamburger bun at me and not even have the common decency to pick it up or even say sorry. I am throughly offended by this and will never eat from a steak and shake EVER AGAIN read more

This is sad. I use to love Steak 'n Shake, but this company has forgotten there mission and the customer. Their food is no where as good as it once was. They forgot that they didn't want to become a "workraunt", and now they're more work for the customer than any other fast food place. They still serve chili, but you're no longer allowed to to order it on your fries. If you order extra sauce on your burger, they give you a packet on the side. I remember when this place use to be packed everyday, and now they have a hand full of customers at best. So many of my friends refuse to eat at Steak 'n Shake, and now I really see why. RIP Steak 'n Shake! It wont be long before Culver's puts y'all completely out of business. read more

Worst service to date. Don't even bother coming here, in fact, this place has zero respect for customers in general. 3 groups decided to leave due to no service. They were plenty of tables open but no staff present. read more

Food is below average. The food is cold most of the time when you get it and the fries are extremely sandy and dry. The milkshakes barely have any rich flavor you expect in them and are extremely liquidy. It almost taste like medicine sometimes. Food is good, but the service is terrible!! My family was seated promptly, but it took forever for our server to come and acknowledge us. There were maybe five tables in the whole dining room. I saw four servers, just wandering around. Our server eventually came over, she seemed friendly enough and took our order. We received our food promptly and accurately; however, we were missing our milkshakes. We were told it would take "awhile" because they were backed up because it was, "Happy Hour" and they only had one person doing milkshakes. If you know you get busy during Happy Hour then why not schedule an extra person for your rush?! I never saw a manager, until the very end of our visit and only because another table (which was seated next to us) was complaining about the same issues we had. Steer clear from this location; hit up either Troy or Englewood, it's worth the drive! read more

Will and Steve KILLED it tonight.! 5 stars all day! . Wouldn't go to another steak and shake.

The waitress seemed really dead last night, but the food and shake was good! I guess I don't blame everyone's dead-like appearance since there was 9 of us dining. I tried the new Cajun Double Steakburger with Cajun Fries, the All American Footlong Hot Dog, and the Mint Cookies N' Cream Milkshake. Overall, everything was just good; but, I felt that the Cajun Double Steakburger would've been better with some cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. I come hear like once or twice a year since I'm from California, but I was stuffed, so I'd say I was pretty satisfied. read more

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I hate for my first yelp review to be this negative, but I am completely disgusted by the service this restaurant demonstrated to me on June 22nd 2019. I went through the drive through only to wait behind 4 cars for 15 minutes before getting my order taken. Then, when I actually got up to the window I went to order my food only for the worker to tell me that her speaker wasn't working. Then I was asked if I could physically come in to order my food which wasn't a big deal, I didn't mind. Then we ( my 3 other friend and I ) went in only to wait 10 more minutes only to be acknowledged, I then told the server that we were told to come in and order our food because their speaker went out and she said she had no idea what we were talking about. One of my friends then said "well should we just seat ourselves?" sarcastically because at this point we were fed up. After she says this the worker took a rude tone with us and says "honestly it's up to you because I'm the only server here tonight and I can't deal with it", after we were literally told to come in and order our food. At the end of the day we just left because we decided to not give our money to a sorry establishment such as Steak 'n Shake, hopefully this review helps someone when deciding whether or not to eat at this restaurant. read more
