My friend and I chose B-Side Coffee Bar after finding them on Instagram. Their social media portrays a cozy, welcoming, family-friendly coffee shop with comfortable seating, signature drinks, and a great food menu. As two moms meeting for coffee with our young children, that atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, our experience in person was very different from what we expected. The space felt cold and industrial, with concrete floors, minimal décor, and very little to soften the noise. It was extremely echoey, and between the kitchen sounds and overall volume, it wasn't the comfortable environment we had hoped to spend time in with our babies. While there were couches and seating available, the overall setup felt more geared toward quick visits or takeout than relaxing and staying awhile. The coffee itself was good, and the menu offered plenty of interesting food and drink options. I can see how the space might appeal to someone looking for a quick coffee stop or a place to work on a laptop. However, the atmosphere wasn't inviting enough for us to want to stay, relax, or order anything additional. We were hoping for a cozy coffee shop experience, and the space simply didn't deliver that feeling. The biggest disappointment was the disconnect between the impression we got from social media and the actual experience of the space. Had we known what it was really like, we likely would have chosen a different location for our coffee meetup. Wow, nice little hole in the wall situated in a strip mall of a small community. Very spacious and dog friendly with an outdoor patio in the back. This establishment is connected to an adjacent brewery called "Alematic" and it looks interesting but doesn't start serving until late afternoon. The coffee are excellent, but the food is incredible I opted for an avocado toast since the salmon toast that I saw listed in the yelp menu photos is no longer offered (boo). I went for the Cadillac option, going all-in having on a bagel and topped with an egg. This was a wise move and fantastic. The bagel was light, not dense and doughy and perfectly toasted. The avocado was generously applied and didn't taste like it was out of a spray can, like I anticipated. It had nice chunks of fresh avocado. On top was drizzled garlic infused olive oil and home made pickled onions. Well done! My only negative comment was that only two people were working, one dedicated in the kitchen and this really slowed down service with the other employee handling orders and coffee production. It was a good 10 minutes to order and the place was far from busy. It took another good 10 minutes to get my coffee. They really need a third person. I'm not complaining, but want to calibrate customer expectations in case someone was in a hurry. I would definitely come back and I'd like to check out the tap room when in operation. read more

horrible service. the manager messed up our order and instead of owning up messing for an avocado bacon burger, she made us seem like WE messed up. And when we asked for the receipt she altered it and made up pay for something we didn't pay for. extremely rude and lying to other employees because she doesn't want to be wrong. we ordered two bacon avocado bowls and gave us one. we asked about the second bowl and said we didn't order it. she tried to make sure us ( the customers) were in the wrong when she messed up and charged extra for no reason. she was extremely rude for trying to pull a slick one and i wouldn't recommend going there. read more

B-Side brings just the right vibe to a shared space with Alematic Brewing, providing a light, open environment in which to enjoy your cuppa. I stopped in for a tall cup of dark roast and I paired that up with a freshly made cinnamon roll with a *gracious* amount of cream cheese frosting. B-Side's darker roast is absolutely smashing, tempered just a bit with my usual half-and-half, and that cup was north of fantastic! The cinnamon roll did not disappoint, save for the sticky fingers, but if you aren't involved with your food, are you really eating? Try one. For a spot that has only been open since March of this year, B-Side certainly has a vibe like they've been a part of that strip for years. Plenty of comfortable seating, a varied menu, and outstanding service and product should make this a long-timer. We were both a little surprised to find it was in a strip mall (the pictures we'd seen online were deceiving) but ventured in. The space is bright and friendly. Lots of seating options. They have an extensive coffee and food menu. We only did coffee. I had a birthday cake latte with oat milk that was pretty good. The sprinkles made for a little bit of a strange texture but the flavor was good. My friend had an Americano. The food looked incredible as we saw it coming out, and I kind of regretted that we didn't order anything. This may be a new stop on my regular trips since it's a good breaking point on a seven-hour drive. read more

You will regret eating here. TL;DR: you'll be angry, and the owner should feel ashamed. My wife, son, and I ate there today. It was far and above the worst restaurant experience we have had in at least a decade. I'll summarize. A turkey club that consisted of 3 slices of store brand processed lunch meat on soggy, bagged sourdough bread with a side of potato chip crumbles that appeared to be the remnants of a bag that had been stomped on. Two overcooked canned biscuits so hard to chew that l my jaw still hurts two hours later topped with a tablespoon of fairly decent gravy served in a disposable plastic container. The chicken tenders and tots kids meal appeared to be Great Value brand chicken tenders and a fistful of tater tots served on a baking tray, and they forgot the juice box. The highlight of the mea was that my wife said her berry hibiscus tea was ok. After we spent $40 that included the obligatory 25% tip that the cashier had already selected, we waited forty-five minutes for the pleasure of serving ourselves and bussing our own table. The gentleman in the green t shirt who brought our food to the counter from the table mumbled "I'm sorry man" as he handed me the miniature portions of lukewarm food. The staff evaporated as soon as we picked up our food, preventing us from making a formal complaint or asking for the missing juice box. My wife insisted that I add her frustration: "I cannot express enough how abhorrent the value was. To be clear, I could have taken the same $40, gone to my local grocer, purchased the exact quality ingredients, and made the same meal at home eight times over, all in the same forty-five minutes that we waited and without the pretentiousness and smugness that B-side served. I don't mind paying well for a good sandwich, but that was so bad, I feel scammed. It's just plain dirty." read more

Great find next to my favorite local brewery- worth going for the food. Had a Wagu burger that melted in my mouth. The Bleu cheese and lettuce tomato really made that $14 a wise investment. Went back for the German Brat on special - the mustard was authentic German Semf and just wow. Finally SO got the salmon toast. - healthy slices of smoked salmon on a thick homemade bread with - wait for it - Tabasco sirachi sauce. Extremely disappointed regarding our second visit to this establishment. Our first experience was satisfactory, with decent food and acceptable service. Well, service is relative. You see, here you order at the counter, go find your utensils and the most service you get is someone handing you a cup of coffee and your food. This model is ok IF you know how to make your customer feel welcome and you let them know they are being taken care of. That means, regardless of how the food is ordered or served, you remain aware that you actually have customers. I'm not sure what happened but they switched up the ordering location since the last visit and that may have been part of the problem but I think the biggest problem was that the staff on duty that day was severely handicapped in their knowledge of customer service and how paying customers should be treated. After waiting for 30 minutes for our food, and no interest in us as customers from the staff, (not once were we approached and asked about our order in spite of being in close range of the person who took our order, and everyone else? Oblivious.) So, we felt compelled to request a refund. Instead of receiving an apology, we were met with excuses, and discourtesy. We were charged for two cups of coffee consumed during this marathon only to learn that our kitchen order had been misplaced. Apparently they couldn't manage in-house orders and those destined for mobile food delivery services. In case you are curious, the food they offer is good but it consists of recipes that are marginally better than fast food and while I understand that every business can have off days, the staff was clearly apathetic to our situation. We won't return nor would we recommend the B-Side Coffee Bar. (Particularly since I left a note regarding our disappointing visit directly on their website and to date, they have been reluctant to respond, and I'm sure, they never will.) read more

I have visited here a couple of times and the first time I was impressed, which is why I went back. My experiences have steadily gotten worse. On one visit, I attempted to redeem a birthday coupon (email from Bside) and the cashier told me it wasn't working and to try again another time (well I didn't cause not worth the trouble), not sure why a manager couldn't fix it. So, that was disappointing as that was the reason we went there that day. The last time I went I ordered the avocado toast which comes on sourdough. The sourdough just looks like a basic bread from the store, as opposed to something that looks homemade. It wasn't so bad that I didn't eat it (bc I was hungry) although the avocado mash was a little salty. My mother was with me during this visit and she just ordered a side of sourdough toast. Even after confirming twice that we wanted sourdough, the cashier still ran it up wrong, thus resulting in receiving Texas toast. They made it right by giving us sourdough. On to the coffee drinks. I ordered a Gingerbread Chai Latte (dirty) and my mom got a Creme Brûlée Latte and requested it with half the sugar. Both of our drinks were sooooo sweet. I mean I couldn't even finish it was so sweet. I couldn't really taste the coffee, only the syrup. So, while I love the seasonal winter drink options, I think they just need to cut way down on the syrup or whatever they add to make it sweet. I have had the honey bourbon latte and the s'mores latte in the past and those were good. I also like that there are several options for food and drinks. It is a little on the pricey side, which makes it more frustrating when your coffee drinks are not done well. Hope they can fix these issues, so I can return! read more

Stopped in with my parents for our last brunch together before my dad flew out, and while I had very high expectations - I was a little disappointed. While they do have food (and I will say I did enjoy the food and beverages) it is kind of inconvenient for a group of people since all the food is served up at the counter and you carry it to the table yourself. A little inconvenient when you have a couple of people with food and beverages who also want to eat out on the patio. The patio is very cute but from the food counter you will have to carry your food and beverages through the entire brewery part - so just be prepared. The food itself was tasty, I got a breakfast sandwich and a strawberry latte but I will say it was pricier for three people than I expected especially when you are busing yourself. I will say it is a great place to go by yourself to study or read when you only have to worry about carrying the things you yourself ordered but would not come here for with a large group especially a large group planning on getting mimosa flights since that could get messy. read more

Food is good but service is less than desirable. Instructions when you walk in are to sit at a table and order on the app. We sat on the opposite side and ordered 2 coffees using the app. Said I would receive a text when ready. After waiting for a long time to get a text finally went to the pick up area to pick up 2 cold coffees. No text. I guess it is Starbucks style of yelling name when order is ready. But didn't know this and was on opposite side. Stop using the QR code and make people think they are going to get a text when the order is ready. The coffee was good but we then went to the order area and ordered. Received a buzzer and the buzzer went off when food was ready. If you are not equipped for the QR code thing - just don't use it. Was super annoying. Food was good. Will probably go back because I like to patronize small businesses but cold coffee not exactly going to enthrall customers. They were not that busy at 11 am on a Saturday morning, you would think they could have at least picked up the coffees after about 15 or 20 minutes and try to find the owners.
