Stopped for a quick lunch on the way to Costco. Everyone was satisfied but nothing really stood out as memorable.

Stopped by to have lunch with a friend to catch up on old times and had a great time. Was quickly seated and offered a variety of beers to kick things off. Decided to have the Captain Stardust by Yellow Springs Brewing and it did not miss For lunch, I opted for the Santa Fe Chipotle Turkey sandwich that had two all-natural patties with pepper jack cheese, coleslaw, tomato, guacamole, and Santa Fe Chipotle sauce on a grilled nine-grain bun. This was the best turkey sandwich I've had in 2024, hands down! Emily was a great server and who very attentive and friendly. Had good recommendations for sauces (garlic aioli) and made sure we always had a full glass of beers! Will be back to try other options! read more

I stopped by Bagger Dave's, craving for a burger and for a first time visitor, it was an okay experience. Our server, Joe, was very nice, chill, and informative in giving suggestions from the menu. The scenery is relaxed and I like how they have a wall dividing the dining area and the bar.  For appetizers, I ordered the parmesan truffle fries and cheese curds. The parmesan fries were a bit underwhelming. The cheese wasn't even melted on the fries, just sprinkled over them. When eating the fries, they'd fall off. The truffle aioli sauce was what made it enjoyable. I suggest getting regular fries and ask for the sauce, it'll save you a couple of dollars. The cheese curds were crispy on the outside and still hot enough inside to stretch it in between bites.  For entrees, we ordered the B.O.M. Burger and Train Wreck w/ onion rings. The BOM burger was okay. When I first got it there were a bunch of white onions and I had to remove a handful, and the burger didn't have as much bacon onion marmalade on it. Other than that, the burger was juicy, the bites with the bacon onion marmalade were delicious, and dipping the burger in the leftover truffle aioli from the fries made it more delicious. The Train Wreck burger was good, but it is a messy burger to eat. You do have the option to get an over easy egg instead of sunny side up. I think the sunny side egg was more enjoyable and flavorful. The onion rings were okay, not seasoned, and the fried batter didn't seem as crispy as it looked. Would I come back here again? Maybe. Our waiter told us we have the option to alter our burgers, for example replacing the beef patties with turkey patties. I'd be willing to come back and see how their turkey burgers go and try their truffle aioli sauce with different sides again. read more

Bagger Dave's is a casual restaurant chain with most of their restaurants in Michigan but this one in Ohio and another in Indiana. I ordered via their website for takeout and it was very easy. Bagger Dave's has a nice variety of options. They have burgers, pizza, sandwiches and fish and chips. I placed my order on my way home from work and was really impressed by the speed! The order was ready, without delay when I arrived. I ordered their Crispy Bacon Cheeseburger, well done, with mustard and mayonnaise on a sesame seed bun. I also ordered a side of pickles and a side of onion rings. The onion rings is an up charge item. The regular sides are hand cut fries or coleslaw. The burger is a 7 ounce patty and it came with a slab of cheddar cheese on top sprinkled with bacon. I had thought that was the only bacon on it. However, when I was eating it there was bacon under the cheese. It was crispy as its name suggests and I was pleasantly surprised. The onion rings looked hand battered and were good but I feel this would be a better in diner experience than takeout experience. Onion rings don't always hold out very well for take out. But they were good and I ordered them with a side of blue cheese dressing. Overall, very great takeout experience. This restaurant pays attention to detail and your order is promptly prepared. You can't ask for much more. Order came to around $20 which is comparable to similar establishments. I recommend!! read more

My wife and I had dinner here last night and was very impressed by the food and the service. We ordered their Great American Cheeseburger and requested that it be cooked medium rare. In most restaurants that means cook it until it is unrecognizable but not at Bagger Dave's. It came out perfectly cooked..nice and juicy with great flavor!! Their fries taste like they just came from the state fair. Service was provided by Ashley who was very efficient and had a delightful personality. We'd driven over 12 hours and my husband needed a meal to bring back to our nearby hotel room at Home 2 Suites. He did an online order for pickup about 8:30pm. He walked over and only had a 5 minute wait. He absolutely loved the meal. His custom burger was excellent, just to his specifications. I shared the cheese curds, which came in an aluminum pan that kept them nicely hot and squeaky. The fries were soggy, but that's not their problem as it's just a fries-to-go issue. I hate to even write this since we have been coming to Bagger's for years without an issue....but last night was a disaster. It started with the tables being greasy and obviously not cleaned...then the menus are so beat up it is a joke. How hard is it to order new ones or at least throw out the ones that look like a car ran over them? We ordered drinks quickly...but they didn't come until AFTER out apps and our dinner arrived? We ordered the normally reliable pretzels, but they were so salty that you couldn't even eat them. When the food finally arrived, the burgers were way undercooked despite ordering them well done. Come here for some seriously gooey burgers. Every time I'm in here, it feels a bit like a throwback to the oldschool burger joints - just without the "retro" decor. Come with an appetite - and leave your nice clothes at home. I never manage to eat their burgers without spilling something on myself. PROS: -Bagger Dave's honestly travels pretty good for to-go. We've eaten it that way more often than eating it in. The burgers are wrapped really nicely, and the fries, while softer, are still delicious. Their milkshakes come in styrofoam cups to keep them feeling fantastic until you get them in your hands. -Seriously, though, their food is junk food in the best of ways. Overdone condiments, gooey burgers, squishy burgers, and salty fries. It's all so darn good, and I never leave hungry. -Get a milkshake if you can fit one in - especially their malt varieties. We're pretty sure they have the best malt Oreo milkshake in all of Dayton. They'll serve it to you with two spoons, all cute couples-like, if you ask. -Variety of seating. Lots of super-sturdy, wood chairs that seat to multi-person low top tables. A few booths. I don't think they have any high top tables. -Full private parking lot for the entire strip mall that Bagger Dave's is attached to. I've never seen it full. -Indoor seating area has a cute little choo-choo train that runs around the ceiling. I've seen it running as often as I've seen it turned off though. It's really cute. CONS: -No outdoor seating. Not their fault by any means, but we had to avoid coming here often during COVID because of the lack of outdoor seating. -Oddly no napkin dispensers on the tables. Not a huge dealbreaker, but with how drippy the burgers are, you awkwardly have to ask for more napkins if you manage to go through the pile that the wait staff leaves on your table. read more

Another disappointing trip to Bagger Dave's. I thought perhaps their Happy Hour food specials would be amazing but it turned out to be poor food. Although the food was low quality the service and the Happy Hour half price drinks made up for the quality of the food. The ambiance was mildly packed on a Friday night. They followed seating protocols. The service at the bar was pretty good but like I said the food was sub par but at least it was half off based on happy hour. We ordered pretzels, bbq cauliflower, and fries. The pretzels were under cooked, the tasted freezer burnt and the cauliflower pretty good. The pretzel was super under cooked dough like state. The fries tasted like it was out fo freezer bags. The cauliflower was edible so I highly recommend those. The drinks are were pretty good as we ordered Old Fashions and some half price wine before 6:00pm. Definitely will think twice about coming here for Happy Hour for sure. read more

I ordered food for pick up on my birthday. My husband picked up the food and brought it home. When we opened the bag, we immediately noticed that the fries were missing. The barbecue sauce was also missing and the food was slapped together and tasted awful. The pretzel sticks hard on one side and soggy and prune like on the other. I called and spoke to the manager on duty. His name is Derek. I explained the situation to him and asked him for a refund. Derek offered a $10 refund for $50 dinners. Then he slammed the phone in my face! He was beyond rude and unprofessional. I was so upset. I called back and spoke to him a second time so that I could finish our conversation. He spoke down to me and said that's all he will do for me! He didn't even offer to remake the food. They completely ruined my birthday dinner. We have ordered food from here many times before and never had an issue. The chef obviously had a crappy day and so did the manager! They both suck! Will never eat here again. Food: We started with an order of cheese curds with marinara sauce while we waited for some friends to arrive. I haven't had bad cheese curds to be fair, and these were great.
