Cheddar's is consistently one of the better restaurants close to me. I've ate in the actual restaurant, made pickup orders from there, and even had delivery. The different visits have varied but I do like their variety of food options, the food quality, and the value. I recently placed a delivery order on Cheddar's website and it was a moderately good experience. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich with a side order of fries. The food was delivered in a timely manner and was moderately good. The Monte Christo sandwich was good with plenty of meat and cheese but seemed a little soggy. It's supposed to be deep-fried and covered in powdered sugar. It was deep-fried but had no powdered sugar on it. It comes with a side of raspberry preserves. The fries were okay. I do recommend and it's a bit better than my previous experience, however they need a bit better quality control. They did include their complimentary croissant drizzled with a sugary glaze. I've been to Cheddar's multiple times and I always enjoy it! Annalyse was very attentive, we enjoyed having her as our server. The drinks were yummy and they have all day happy hour for their classic margaritas, a few cocktails, and a draft beer I believe. I ordered a trio of chicken tenders, cheese curds, and their spinach dip. Highly recommend the honey mustard for the chicken and HIGHLY recommend their cheese curds. Stopped in on a Saturday on a whim, and I'm so glad we did. I had thought it was a bit pricey, and surprisingly it was very affordable and a lot less than expected. We both got a sirloin with 2 sides, a beer each and shared a feast. It was around $60 for all that!!! I got an 8oz and my daughter got the 6 oz. Both were perfectly done. The broccoli side was excellent, mashed potatoes good. The fried apple pie was excellent also. Draft beers reasonably priced also. Our service was good. I was in town and this restaurant popped up on Yelp, by the photos of this place look pretty good, but I was kind of curious why only 3 stars customers are giving them. First of all, I thought this was a diner, not until I walked in, and found out is a little upscale restaurant I saw like 10-12 people waiting, I'm thinking oh boy, so I asked if any seating at the bar is available since I'm by myself. No problem, I seated immediately Those people that are waiting is for a larger table. I seated, bartender handed me the menu, asked me what to drink, maybe within 2 minutes, she came back and asked me I'm ready. I told her I needed more time since I never been there. Menu have few options, after 5 minutes, I was ready, but the bartender nowhere to be found, no problem, I waited for another 5-7 minutes, she came back asked I'm ready. I ordered the Ribeye Steak, maybe I misread the items it suppose to come with, I thought it says come with 2 side, and I ordered the mashed potato and Caesar salad, ending up they charged me additional $3.99 for it, but whatever, I thought it come with it. Salad was okay, nothing special about it, is Caesar Salad ‍ After another 15 minutes later, my steak came, I was surprised to see on the plate is only the steak and mashed potato only, nothing on the side, like some green for decoration, you know what I mean? Like put some kales on the side or something, make it look more presentable. Also I thought I read the description says have some others mushrooms and onions suppose to be on top, nothing! Is like something you cook from home for yourself Once again, maybe I misread? We discovered this small southern chain in Kentucky nearly 2 decades ago, and recommend. We were looking forward to patio dining, but management made an uniformed decision to close patio. Cheddars I recently visited this location with my parents and had a great experience. Largely that came down to two reasons: our sever, Alex Braun was peak customer service. What an absolute trainwreck from start to finish. We waited forever for a big table, only to be shoved into a cramped back corner where four people had to sit awkwardly on the ends. It took 30 minutes just to get drinks, and they weren't even put in until after our meals were ordered. We were celebrating a birthday, but the night was completely ruined -- everyone had to rush home for bed, the croissants were cold, and the kids were up late on a school night. The only positive part of the night was Ashley, our waitress. She was phenomenal and clearly doing the work of several people all by herself. The outside appearance is so beautiful as soon as you step in you see the big fish tank I think that is such a great touch to the restaurant it gives the kids something to look at. I really do not have any reason to give them less than five stars. I have been to several Cheddars and they all provide a great modern ambiance, very friendly service with a menu with great options. Today I opted for a salad with grilled chicken and honey mustard dressing. That along with their famous glazed croissants make for a perfect lunch. If there was something I would have like that was not available was a vegetable soup or something with less carbs but it's ok as it didn't not negatively affect my visit. Definitely a great lunch. I ordered the New Orleans pasta which had chicken, chorizo, and shrimp in a Cajun pasta. The dish had good flavor, but was not hot when I received it. My table got the cheese bites and those were AMAZING and the ranch was good too, great cheese pulls. Then I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries.
