I ordered a takeout order from here this past Saturday . I ordered the Classic Cheeseburger which includes a side order of fries. I ordered it well done with no lettuce and no tomatoes. The burger was cooked to my specifications and was really good. It was very thick and juicy juicy patty, on a quality bun with plenty of cheese. The fries were seasoned well but just okay. The order came with a pickle wedge and a cup of ketchup. Everything was packaged carefully in a nice container. I really enjoyed this burger and I highly recommend. read more

Great experience in the bar area for wine and dinner. Great experience from start to finish!

We had a party of 20 for a birthday celebration for a milestone birthday at 80 years old. While we did thoroughly enjoy the food and wine, the reservation was made 4 months in advance. Long story short, their policy does not allow a reservation over 12 to be seated together. Which would be understandable If the party was sat in the same area at least. This did not happen. It was brought up to the manager who refused to change anything. There were tables open in the same room which would have worked. The manager refused to move the rest of the party to the same area. Whether it's company policy or just this restaurant. It made the experience horrible because there seemed to be no valid reason to not sit the party in the same area. I know none of us will be going back to this restaurant after this experience. Don't bother coming here if you want to enjoy a good time for a somewhat larger party. We were told the entire restaurant had to be rented out in order to accommodate 20 people ahead of time. Try somewhere else for a better experience. read more

My first time here at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Centerville Ohio. The appetizers were amazing, we had calamari, crispy, brussels sprouts and drunken shrimp! The bread was freshly baked. I had the jambalaya and it was surprisingly really good. My daughter-in-law order the Parmesan crusted, shrimp scampi, she said it was amazing and very tasty! My son coopers hall Parmesan chicken giandernia, which he said was not very good. Chicken was soggy, potato's were cold and the Veggies were ok! However, he was able to send it back and the made him something else. They said it was really good! The kids meal Pot Stickers and fries were good and the Cheese Burger was good as well! For the most the food was super fresh! Service was top notch, never having to wait for anything! Kim was very attentive to our every needs!!! This place was very comfortable, warm and welcoming! This is a place that you have to make reservation but I think it was well worth it! read more

Was recommended to try this place out, was pretty busy for the holidays. Their drinks and food were really delicious, drunken shrimp and calamari were nice choices Service was decent, unfortunately it was taking about 30min for our server to do check ins with us to ask refills for water or wondered where the rest of our food is. read more

Service was good but they upped the price and reduced the portions. There was less meat in my "prime" and they had a dinky saucer for the au jous. It's been a while since I came here. The fries also used to overflow the container and it just doesn't any more. read more

The brussel sprouts appetizer were very good, as usual. They are perfectly crispy. The ahi tuna was also good, but there was not very much of it for having been over 30 dollars. The mahi mahi was delicious though. The flavors were unique but combined well. read more

I've enjoyed Cooper's Hawk wines at family occasions for years now, but somehow never made it into the restaurant until now! We had a lovely family dinner for four here on Christmas Eve, and I'd love to return soon for a wine tasting. We had a reservation, but ended up waiting about 30 minutes past that time because they were so busy for the holiday. Thankfully, you can order a glass of wine or even complete a tasting at the winery bar while you wait. Service was pretty slow even after we were seated, but again, there were a lot other folks there that night, so we just hung in there and enjoyed each other's company while we waited. Everything on their menu sounded so good that it was hard to order! We started with the House-Made Meatballs and a couple of loaves of their house bread. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and paired with a hearty red sauce that was great for dipping. For entrees, my husband and I shared the Country Rigatoni and the Surf and Turf with Filet Medallions and the Drunken Shrimp. The portions are huge, and definitely enough for two people to share one entree. The filet medallions were well cooked, and I loved the ooey-gooey parmesan on top. The veggies that came with the Surf and Turf were also quite tasty. The Rigatoni is full of fun mix-ins and presented in a comforting, rustic way. I really liked the Italian sausage and the mushrooms. We skipped dessert this time, although the Salted Caramel Creme Brulee was tempting. read more

No waiting with our reservation so we were seated promptly. My GF had the egg rolls appetizer for an entree which was a delicious meal according to her. I had the Jambalaya which was also excellent. The Old Vine Zinfandel made a nice accompaniment and the chocolate cake desert topped it off. Service was generally ok with a couple of minor glitches. All in all a good evening. read more

Takeout Order. Once again, I'm disappointed by upper scale restaurants that on takeout orders, package french fries in the same packaging as the hot food. The fries were completely soggy. The Cheesecake Factory does not package them together and they are so much better. I tried the large cheeseburger. It has nice trimmings and was good, but the soggy fries ruined the meal. We also ordered a child's hamburger meal which included soggy fries and a package of fruit which was totally sour. What child would want that. This was a disappointment and will not return. read more

went to dinner on 9-19-2026 with my wife and daughter. We made reservations for 815 we arrived at 810 told it would be a couple of minutes. I waited to 835 and asked how close we were to getting seated, was told they were clearing the table. ( we requested outside at time of reservation) They called our name and we outside to the patio were there were 6 empty table. The music was so loud you could not have a conversation. The waitress took our drink orders about 5 minutes later. it took her a 1/2 hour to bring them. The food was subpar. Probably will never return. There is no excuse for poor service. read more

I came here with a few friends yesterday for lunch and it was very nice! Coopers Hawk always has great food and great wine. A pro tip because I've been to Cooper's Hawk a few times. They gave a KILLER happy hour, you have to get the sangria flight! The place is very nice, clean, and modern. The staff is amazing, overall it was a great experience and Cooper's Hawk is a place I will always recommend! read more

I try not to leave less than 5 star reviews unless they are warranted but unfortunately it was in this instance. After we were sat it took almost 30 minutes for us to receive our ordered drinks and to even get our order taken. I understand how being a waitress works and I acknowledge that there is a selling aspect to get the customer to order certain items, but it felt like I was at a Cutco knives presentation and it completely turned us off from even wanting to order many items like we had planned. It also doesn't help when people decide a restaurant is the perfect place to take a loud FaceTime call (???). The food itself was okay but I think this was a one and done experience which is unfortunate because I think the concept of Cooper's Hawk makes perfect sense. Maybe this experience is unique to this location, but definitely not interested in returning. read more

Every time we gone here we've always had a good experience. We've had brunch here as have come in multiple times for wine. First of all, the chilaquiles for brunch is flipping amazing. Highly recommend. They had a good assortment of other options but I'm a sucker for a good chilaquiles. Haha our waiter was also great and recommended options to match our food. In terms of the other times, we mainly just went in for a bottle or two of wine for dinner or events and they are kind to offer recommendations and samples. read more

Yelp Cooper's Hawk We have greatly enjoyed our many visits to Cooper's Hawk over the years, and applaud this restaurant for adding to the quality of Centerville restaurants. The menu is conservative and pricey for the offerings. Menu is getting tired - suggest new options. Service is always excellent, including the wine tasting. Ivory was doing her best, but seemed overwhelmed with diners.... Perhaps more training.... The setting near a Centerville park is great as is the ambience. We visited prior to Christmas, and Cooper's Hawk is busy. A bar window booth brings in the outdoors, and satisfies our need to day to explore the menu. Elected the burgers, and very good. I had salad, and my son insisted on fries. We recommend. read more

Stopped in at this location to pickup a few bottles of wine to share with family. Service was pretty slow and the carry out counter (middle of the day, with no one else in line) took about 10 minutes for 2 bottles. Pretty slow for the time of day. I can't talk to the food at this location as I didn't stay to eat. The inside and outside did look good. read more

Usually I love Cooper's as we're wine club members but this location just simply missed on the night of our visit. And it was all due to service. Our waiter was actually a great personality...we really liked him...we just needed him to hurry up because we were on a time crunch for our girls night and he missed all the cues which stressed us out. A bit more attentive service could've took this review to 4 stars. Maybe it's our fault for not being like " hey we need you to take our order soon, bring us bread, make sure we have refills, and bring the checks stat". Drinks we're good per usual and food was ok( scampi was bland). The place was packed but I'm all about service so this missed just a smudge and stressed us out having to rush when you have a babysitter at home on a time crunch :( read more

Unfortunately, my recent visit for a family birthday party wasn't the most satisfying culinary experience While the day wasn't a complete letdown, thanks to the enjoyable tasting room. The bartenders were knowledgeable and very courteous Getting in and seated was a breeze, and the drinks were delicious. The egg rolls, potstickers, and calamari were probably the highlight of the day The braised short ribs and risotto were good, the pistachio crusted grouper was good, the scallops were a bit on the tough side but reasonable However, when it came to the kitchen's understanding of what medium rare, medium, and medium well should be, it was a different story.I ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done, and another family member asked for a medium well that came out completely rare. Both of us had to have our steaks cooked twice, and even then, they still weren't right The manager attempted to make things better by giving us two truffles, which were very rich and not to my liking. I would have preferred a different type of compensation. I usually leave 5-star reviews, but this one deserved a 4-star rating because the kitchen staff didn't get the steak temperatures right. Given the prices here, they should be able to nail the basics read more

I used to love Cooper's Hawk, but the last few times I've been it's been disappointing. I have food allergies and I always tell the servers. My food always comes out correctly. The problem is that Cooper's Hawks keeps making less and less food options for those with food allergies. I use to be able to get broccoli, but this location puts butter on all their broccoli. I was left with either broccoliini or green beans. Thankfully they haven't change the Asian slaw because that is a favorite. I don't think I'll be back for awhile again because sometimes I'd like a little more variety available. Service was great as always though. The restaurant is always nice and clean. Gives a nice romantic feeling. read more

It's nice to visit different Cooper's Hawk location. Since my best friend lives near this area, we decided to meet at up for a wine tasting and dinner. I like the set up of this place. The tasting room is spacious and the dining area as well. The tasting room was not too busy. We waited 10 minutes before someone waited on us. The menu for this month's wine was a good selection. Of course we did the variety not the sweet. What I didn't like is when they poured our wine, they didn't give any descriptions about it. Just poured and walked away. Dinner was great. Our server was attentive and down to earth. We ordered: Over the Boarder Egg rolls (shared) Parmesan Crusted Mahi Mahi (I ordered) Braised Short Rib Risotto (My Mr ordered) Tuna sashimi (Best friend ordered) Parmesan crusted chicken (BF husband ordered) The Mahi Mahi was new on the menu so I had to try it. The fish was flaky and I loved the broccolini and mashed potatoes. My Mr. loved his meal but couldn't finish. We definitely took it home. My friends chicken was undercooked, but they fixed it right away and brought him another one. Other than that, the experience was good. A little turned off by the tasting room but maybe it was just that one time. I still could see myself coming back because we are huge fans of this restaurant in general. read more

Our selection for an early Thanksgiving meal. Very pleased with my first trip to a Cooper's Hawk. Service was excellent. Our server was so informative and cheerful. Her knowledge of the menu and wines made it so enjoyable. She offered to serve our wine selections via a table side decanter that really amped up the level of class. This place is popular so I recommend you reserve a table. We selected an early time and by the time we left, it was packed. Food was attractively plated, flavorful, and portion sizes were appropriate. I felt we had a great price/value ratio. Wines were very balanced and while we had our favorites, none were unpleasant. Many of the food selections were from the holiday specials. Variants of the surf and turf. Highly recommend. Calamari appetizer was some of the best I've ever had. read more

Wonderful 1st time here, Justine Kohli was our server, and she was great. She helped with all the questions we had and I couldn't recommend a better server for our 1st time there. The food was also very fresh for us and everything tasted very yummy! A side note, we brought our 5-year-old, whom we were very worried about; he felt very welcomed and has already asked us when he's going back to eat! (expensive kiddo LOL). Anyway, thank you Cooper Hawk, for a great 1st time with you we will be back for sure and huge thank you for Justine you did wonderful as well. The food is delicious. My daughter and I took a short trip from Costco and had lunch there. She and I decided to split a dinner meal. Two plates, presented with aplomb that highlighted the quality and care of the chef and staff. We, each, got to try the truffle of the month( a creamsicle- inspired confection. Yes! We were satisfied to eat just one. I would rather eat less of something fabulous than graze on unhealthy and greasy, over-salted fast-food that has more quantity than quality. We enjoyed our waiter, Eric. I hope I picked the correct spelling. He was solicitous and humorous. I declared, "We will be coming here until we've tried the entire menu!" It is worth the $. read more

Coopers Hawk is a great option if you are looking for a middle ground between super casual steakhouse and a super fancy steakhouse. Great in between! Service was a little slow, but the waiter did mention that the bar and kitchen were backed up at times. Dishes are pricey, and it's overall been hit or miss most times that we go for dinner in regards to quality of the dishes. The egg rolls might be one of my favorite things on the menu and we order them every time without question. So good and flavorful! The tuna was not the best quality. Steak wasn't cooked quite to the temperature. Was supposed to be an 8 oz filet, but it was smaller than that. The broccoli was barely cooked so it was extremely hard still. The shredded potatoes seemed a little undercooked, as well - tasted like we were just eating a milky/creamy soup that lacked much flavor or shredded potatoes within. We've had great experiences at Cooper's Hawk in the past, but most are roughly as explained above. read more
