The lettuce wrap gets even messier but a good alternative. Dinning Area: Average size, open concept. Plenty of seating! Prices: Relatively inexpensive. My order said pick up at 4:06pm like 20 minutes after. I arrived and the lady said.... oh we haven't even make them yet, excuse me not, I'm so sorry, we are busy but I will make this right away. Then I asked for no blue cheese and please add ranch. They put it on the sub and then she says just give it to her on the side. This is hands down the best sub shop in Beavercreek. My wife and I stopped in here for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised! My wife got the Club Sub, which is made with freshly sliced provolone, ham, and turkey and mayo. You can of course get the sub the Jersey Mike's way. I decided on the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. It's made with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños and melted white American cheese. Oh my gosh it was amazing. We both got them as Giant and they live up to their title. Jersey Mike's is a franchise, but a good one at that. Subway has gone down quite a bit. Their sandwiches are mostly bread with precut meats. The vegetables are average and not fresh looking. If you ever had a port-a-subs sandwich, this is the same thing. They have cut to order meat and give you plenty on there. The vegetable choices aren't as many as Subway, but that's okay. I always get it Mike's way, which is onions, lettuce, tomato, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend and spices. No fancy bread choice, but what sandwich doesn't taste good on a French roll. Had a few subs from Jersey Mike's Subs today. First I had the Jersey Shore's Favorite which was absolutely fantastic with provolone, ham, and cappacuolo. Next I tried the Grilled Pastrami Reuben which was loaded with fresh pastrami and had Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and of course Thousand Island dressing. Lastly, I had to get the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak since I'm kind of a big eater. It came with mushrooms, peppers, jalapeños, and extra cheese. This bad boy was about 15 inches long! So I'm not usually a fan of chain delis or restaurants for that matter however this place was outstanding. I actually came here twice and tried the steak and cheese with peppers and onions- it was delicious!! I also had a club sandwich ( I believe it was the number 9). It had roast beef, turkey, Swiss, and bacon then was piled high with lettuce tomato and other toppings- the meat is cut right in front of you so that you know it is extremely fresh. Based on the sandwiches I had, I really don't think you could go wrong with anything here- just make sure you bring your appetite because the sandwiches are huge! There are few things as excellent on this earth as a well-executed sandwich. The combination of savory meat, salty cheese, and crunchy veg, all wrapped up in a fresh-baked bread that walks the balance between crusty exterior and soft, pillowy interior....sandwiches can be magic, children. Subway, if you read my reviews, has my eternal ire for defacing proper sandwiches. Luckily for me, Dayton has no shortages of other sandwich shops, though I hadn't visited Jersey Mike's before, despite its proximity to one of my favorite smoothie stops. So, en route to a freelance writing meeting down in Xenia, I decided to stop by and see if Jersey Mike's could hold a candle to some of the other sandwich shops in the area. First thing to note: Jersey Mike's has a deli slicer right on the counter. And, what's more, they use it. Every meat and cheese for my Italian was freshly cut, in front of my eyes. There were no pre-sliced meats or cheeses here, pulled out of deli cups or the like. These guys started my sandwich right. The bread at Jersey Mike's is a soft, white loaf, which could have used just a touch more crust for my taste. That said, it held up well to the sandwich interior and kept everything together nicely. I could have done with a little stronger dressing, personally--the oil/vinegar/seasoning blend that comprises Jersey Mike's dressing was a touch weak; some mustard might have helped, but none in sight. Overall? Jersey Mike's is affordable, quick, and so much fresher than many of the other sandwich chains around. They're worth your lunch! read more

I love the order online and pickup feature they offer and how you can get points towards a free sub. I have eaten at this location twice, I had the club supreme sub the first time, pretty good, I wasn't crazy about the turkey but it worked okay with the roast beef and bacon. The second time I went I had the cancro special and it was amazing. The sandwiches are pretty big and quite hearty. They use a tougher bread, be aware, if your used to the Italian bread from sub-way its not that soft. This is good though keeps it from getting soggy. Give em a try I think you'll like them. Update: Ordering ahead of time online is hit or miss. Sometimes it's ready sometimes it's not. Good thing is they are fast so the wait isn't long. A small group of us came in during the lunch rush. I've worked customer service before for years so I was trying to be understanding however, there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the "team" behind the counter. We waiting in line for nearly 45 minutes waiting for our sandwiches. There was a huge lack of communication between the employees and the customers, the employees didn't know they're own products when asked if their pickles were dill or sweet they responded, "I'm not sure" and didn't even attempt to find the correct answer. The young man making the sandwiches moved PAINFULLY slow for having such a long line and long waiting time. And to top all of this, when I went to fill my drink with the unsweetened tea, there was a long gooey tea booger hanging from the spout. DISGUSTING!! Had that dirty tea glob not been hanging from the spout I would have consumed the filthy tea. I will not be returning and I do NOT recommend going here at any point of the day. read more

I've been looking for a 'good sandwich' shop for lunch time meals, that aren't too expensive, but taste good and are filling. I'm tired of going to places like Subway or Jimmy Johns. The quality of those places is terrible. At the same time, I do not want to go to Penn Station or more "fried" or cooked food place. What I'm looking for is a solid, Italian Sandwich place that also has a couple of 'warm sandwich' items that aren't heated in a microwave. Jersey Mike's is a decent place. It's better than Subway and Jimmy Johns, though not 'great'. It's average. The two things that stick out to me are the following: 1. The size of the sandwich. - This is my largest complaint. There's a problem when the "regular" is about $7 and then the next largest size is a 15 inch sub, going for like $13. Really? So you are either left to choose between leaving yourself hungry, or over-stuffing yourself/paying $13 for a sandwich. This is a brilliant/dumb move. Brilliant because JM is probably making a killing financially off those $13 sandwiches, but it's just dumb from a customer-service standpoint to not offer a size in between. The fix? Offer a sandwich around $8.99 for a 12 inch. Then, customer gets more 'full' and doesn't have to pay an extra $5 for 3 more inches. 2. TIPPING ON THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE I think another reviewer mentioned this below, but this is just tacky. It puts the customer on the spot, and makes the customer 'look bad' for not providing a tip. Would this not make me go here and eat? Of course not, nobody says you have to tip. But is it a little awkward? Yes. Here's the thing... You are cutting some meat, and putting it on bread. Why do you deserve a tip for that? Your sandwiches are arguably over-priced already, so don't ask customers to tip your staff. OVERALL: Besides those two gripes above, I still will eat there from time to time. It's not a bad place, it's just not "great". I'm not blown away as if this were to be my 'go-to' sandwich place. It's decent, but overpriced. I'll continue to eat there until and (if) a better place comes around. read more
