Got Hector's Taco Shop for take out mid week and it was great. Since it was my first time, I went inside to order, but they also have a drive thru. You order at the counter, then they bring the food to you while you wait. If you dine in, they will bring it to your table. I got three street tacos: chicken, barbacoa and marinated pork. I also got a side of chips and queso. It was around $15. It took maybe 5 minutes to prepare and I was on my way. The tacos were delicious. My favorite in descending order was barbacoa, pork, chicken. I was surprised to see a large (8oz) queso and essentially a store-sized bag of tortilla chips for my "side" of chips and queso. Come to find out, they do sell a small (2oz) queso, so if you only want a single portion, you should clarify. That said, I ended up dunking my tacos in the queso for added flavor so it worked out well. Overall, I would definitely get Hector's again.

3. Taco & Enchilada Combo

The first time I came here it was excellent! The second time was alright. I will stick to the enchilada and taco combination, as that is much better than the street tacos. The beans and rice are good. One thing to note is the cheese dip is not standard (non spicy) kind, as it has a high spice kick. I was fine with it but I had ordered it for my kids and they of course would not eat it as it was spicy! They shared a cheese quesadilla. It could have been more melted for my preference but they didn't mind it! The chips they offer are fresh but need more salsa than the small portion offered. The street tacos were just okay! The chicken was super bland, but my 2 year old thought it was excellent! The carnitas were okay, but could be more tender. I would keep returning but not get the street tacos!

We have always said we have to try Hector's taco shop for the last few years. We finally tried Hector's taco shop today. I got 3 street tacos, Steak, Chicken and shrimp. My husband got a chimichanga. Their food is so fresh and tasty. I like everything. The shop is clean and bright sunlight was shining in. The music in Spanish and the young guy was sometimes singing along. I love that sort of atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile & finally got around to it. I stopped in for lunch & ordered a taco & tostada which came with a side of refried beans & a side of rice. I got ground beef on the taco & shredded beef on the tostada. I also ordered chips & salsa ($3.99). I got my food to go. The restaurant is large & looks clean. You order at the counter & soft drinks (Pepsi products) are self-serve. My food was ready within 7 minutes of ordering. It was a decent portion & I couldn't finish it all. I really loved the chips & salsa. I poured half the salsa on my taco & tostada - yum. I would recommend this tasty Mexican restaurant in downtown Middletown.

Love this place! My burrito was HUGE, couldn't finish. Was a little afraid because of the exterior of the building but food ended up being really good! Got it super fast- very happy about the vegetarian option

Service and food were good! Carne Asada street tacos were good, the chorizo taco left a little to be desired it tasted more like ground beef. Rice and beans were also good. Good value for the quality and portion. Will stop in next time I'm in the area!

I was craving tacos and horchata today, so I decided to give Hector's a try. Did not disappoint! I ordered delivery so I can't comment on the actual location, but the food was hot, juicy, delicious, and very fresh!

Potato Taco, a little too salty, but overall delicious.

Vallarta Mexican Seafood…read more All the vibes of a Mexican Pacific Coast restaurant. Finally persuaded my 100% Italian wife to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood, and she loves this place. Caveat: Vallarta Mexican Seafood is several rungs above the average Tex-Mex joint in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. We really enjoy Sonora Grill Seafood Steak Bar & Grill, and Vallarta Mexican Seafood merits special attention as well. On our radar: La Poblanita Mexican Market and restaurant. A note on stars; Sonora Grille is on Burkhardt, and in a small strip mall; I am not inclined to award a strip mall restaurant 5 stars; however.... Vallarta Mexican Seafoodis also in a small strip mall with plenty of free parking. Folks inclined to visit and dine at The Greene might go west to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Travel Tip: do check menu Spanish definitions to avoid order errors. We can depend upon Yelp whilst researching: Here are 5 Star Reviews for Vallarta Mexican Seafood. Several of these reviews encouraged us to visit Vallarta Mexican Seafood: ...but their food is SO GOOD!! Fresh, flavorful, not your typical Mexican restaurant. Visiting from Seattle and was looking for some good authentic Mexican cuisine. Found it here! Vallarta Mexican & Seafood... a MUST try for super fresh, delicious, LARGE portion seafood! Amazing service, fantastic portion sizes, and the food was awesome! will definitely be back! Throughout our 60 year relationship, my wife enjoys dessert as an appetizer, and today is no exception. The Churro's are delivered in a flash; we discovered this special treat nearly 50 years ago during an expedition to Spain and Portugal. The very best Churro's were prepared by roadside vendors, and our friends, Bill and Ellen Rose agreed. Neat ambience, and delightful service. Music is Boomer Music.... My wife insisted on MAR Y TIERRA - Mexican Surf and Turf. Grilled chicken, steak and shrimp served with rice, charro beans, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes - expect a togo box. My son elected QUESADILLA DE ASADA A flour tortilla filled with your choice of grilled meat, stuffed with cheese, grilled bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with rice. And I selected Steak PARRILADAsteak cooked with bell peppers, tomatoes and onions. Served with rice, charro beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and flour tortillas - expect a togo box. Way too much Tilapia on the menu - we recommend to lose this fish and replace with REAL fish. My wife is Very Pleased, and she advises that we shall return

El Bueno Taco - Fairfield Commons Mall A 90s Mall Food Court…read moreThrowback... but make it delicious Walking into the Fairfield Commons food court felt like stepping straight back into a 90s mall montage--bright colors, neon vibes, and that classic food‑court energy we all secretly miss. And right there, tucked across from Bath & Body Works, is a small, non‑chain gem that absolutely deserves your attention: El Bueno Taco. Before you roll your eyes at "mall food," hear me out. This place is the real deal. The Food We ordered three Al Pastor tacos and a chorizo & steak sopes, and let me tell you--this is where El Bueno Taco shows off. Al Pastor Tacos Perfectly seasoned, slightly smoky pork with that signature hint of sweetness from the pineapple. The meat is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite. It's the kind of taco that makes you pause mid‑chew and go, "Oh... okay, they're not playing." Chorizo & Steak Sopes The sopes come out thick, warm, and beautifully crisp on the edges. The steak is tender and well‑seasoned, the chorizo brings that bold, savory kick, and the whole thing is layered with fresh toppings that make it feel hearty without being heavy. It's comfort food with personality. The Vibe Typical mall parking--well‑lit, plenty of space, easy in and out. The food court is on the second floor, and El Bueno Taco is easy to spot thanks to the fun, colorful décor that gives the whole area a cheerful, welcoming feel. Final Thoughts If you're craving tacos that taste like they came from a street‑side taquería rather than a mall, this is your spot. Small business, big flavor, and a nostalgic setting that somehow makes the whole experience even better. El Bueno Taco is officially on my "unexpected mall wins" list.

I love the food truck in Enon, so I was ecstatic when they were expanding and opening in the mall…read more It is high quality and authentic tacos! I love the combos that come with chips and cheese. I like getting the traditional tacos, one pork, chicken and steak! The chicken and steak are out of the world good!
