Went to Lola's as we were driving through Cedarville, Ohio. Very nice clean Mexican restaurant with a very broad menu. You ordered some tacos and one of their entrées. Food was well prepared and very delicious. I'd add the chips and salsa were good however I would suggest that they beef up their salsa a bit so it's not so runny. The service was nice and though waitress helped with food selection. read more

Everyone there is so kind. The food is great and the flan superb! Great evening on Cinco de Mayo!

Stopped in for dinner tonight on our way back from a little trip to Beavercreek area. Nice little Mexican spot to hit up. I gave it just 3 stars as it was average for us, but its worth the stop if your craving Mexican in this little town. The pictures were from our dinner. read more

If the restaurant had been located in Phoenix instead of the boonies of Ohio it would be the local neighborhood secret, a place everybody would go for great food. It's tiny, but it's good. I had zero weight for a sit. I had as long for them to get my food is your average restaurants take to get my drinks. I wasn't there for anything fancy, and I got quite reasonable given the stupidly high prices of everything nowadays, for a decent lunch. I'm gonna have to come back another time in the evening, take my sweetie out to dinner here and get one of their fancy dishes. Nice spot. Properly Mexican. Good atmosphere. Decent prices. read more

PERFECT!! A great little "hole in the wall" Mexican restaurant, hidden away right in the middle of the equally "hole in the wall" town (village?) of Cedarville. We wandered in at around 1:30-2pm on a Saturday and had the place, and the wonderful, personable waitress (daughter of Lola, who's passing down her wonderful recipes), owner, and cook all to ourselves. This new restaurant (opened 9/2019) is definitely a labor of love for this family, including their two cute kiddos, and it definitely shows. Simple, nothing "fancy," just VERY good food, made with HEART. We ordered from their dinner menu, the lunch menu is only available on weekends, no problem there. PLENTY of tempting choices, some standards and some great surprises, including the BEST, FRESHEST (and most colorful!!) plate of chiles rellenos I've had since leaving Mexico!! The Mr's carne asada was great as well, and we both left full and happy!! We'll make the trip back to sample more of their menu, including their tamales, which they make to order and sell by the dozen. Lola's is a hidden gem worth seeking out, whether you're in the area or just passing through. Wonderful people, great food, inspiring story!!! Enhorabuena, Lolas!!! read more

We're from out of town, but the entire staff made us feel like family. The food was delicious. They served the best guacamole we have ever eaten. It was amazing. Authentic Mexican food at its finest! read more

Lola's is the best Mexican food we've ever had at a restaurant. The owner is great! The staff is great! And the food is off the chart great! Chimichangas are huge and so flavorful. The shrimp tacos are loaded with large and perfectly grilled shrimp. The portions are large and always cooked to perfection. We've never ordered anything that wasn't great! Our only negative is their salsa is bland and too runny for our taste. We prefer chunks of tomatoes and onions in our salsa. But hands down their food is superb! read more

We have been awaiting the opening of this new restaurant in Cedarville and it was worth the wait. Pros- the food was delicious! We got the Abuelas Burrito, pork chimichanga, Tex mex enchiladas, and tacos de carnitas. All were very tasty. I got a tamale on the side and that was the highlight, with the verde sauce it was over the top. My son's burrito was massive! My chimichanga was stuffed full of meat and the cheese on top was good. Overall, the food was really good. Cons-they were a bit slow, but they (the owner I assume) came over to apologize and they are still just slammed, especially due to it being homecoming in town. Also, know there is a 3% surcharge for using credit card, which is a tad annoying these days. Overall, I would recommend for sure! read more

Lola's Mexican Restaurant - Chips and salsa - Mexican Near Me - Cedarville, Ohio

Amazing food, great price, great service, I like hot sauce but beware the hot sauce is hotter than shit

Consistently good and friendly family restaurant. My family and I love this place. I was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant in this quaint, small Midwestern town. We bring family and friends visiting from all over the place here and they love the food too. Everything I've had here is good. And if you want to try something unique, ask about Lola's pineapple... read more

This was a good Mexican restaurant close by to Cedarville University. The food was good and the service was good. Nice small town feel.

What a wonderful gem in the country. The food was fresh and so tasty. My husband got enchiladas and said they are the best he has had. My tacos were simple and full of flavor. The chicken is my favorite--tender, juicy and spicy goodness. During our stay we were well taken care of and felt so welcomed. Cannot wait to go back!!! read more

It doesn't look like much, but it's pretty legit. Our group of 8 ranged from super happy to moderately happy with their choices. Personally, I was ecstatic at the pineapple Lola, a recommendation from our host (not on the menu). read more

We eat there regularly or pick up carry-out and take it home. This time I placed an order for a "taco bar" for a birthday party. It was great - everything I needed (except the cake) for 14 people including chips, salsa, sour cream, corn & flour tortillas, pulled chicken and beef taco filling. Easy for me and delicious for my party guests. Pick-up was a breeze. read more

I just love this little hometown Mexican restaurant. We ordered a new item, a Quesapizza , and it was terrific. It's basically a Mexican pizza with your choice of ingredients. We had ground beef but you can have chicken, barbecoa, or vegetarian. We loved it. The owner came over to talk to us and he's someone you can tell loves what he does. Atmosphere isn't bad but kind of plain but the food is really good. Come support this nice family the next time you're near Cedarville, Ohio. You won't be disappointed. read more

Awesome food! Fresh, hot, and delicious! I had shrimp fajitas - they were fresh off the grill. Staff is friendly too, I highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this gem 10 minutes from Yellow Springs. fresh, hot, authentic food. Owner came and chatted with us. All recipes from his family members. Had the al pastor tacos and they were heavenly! I would definitely check this place out if in area for a delicious meal! Dessert was delicious also. read more

Wow. Great family Mexican restaurant. Really enjoyed the seafood enchiladas. Glad I don't live in Cedarville because I would eat there everyday. read more

Just ordered $28 worth of food from Lola's food truck, we ordered beef / steak burrito, the meat was old, after a bite or two realized it was spoiled, so threw it in trash, the salsa is watery / no flavor whatsoever, the second burrito, chicken was not spoiled but still not good, just not seasoned well, the chips were awful, they had a plastic like taste to them, our experience was ridiculously bad, this is third time we have tried them, really wanted to support them but the food is just not freshly prepared nor seasoned well, very disappointing, I hope they figure out how to improve. read more

We are regulars at Lolas who stopped in yesterday after the Labor Day parade. The service was great (as usual) and all of our usuals were very tasty (again, as usual, the guacamole was killer!). But we had a big surprise. We've tried a lot of meals on their menu and were quite surprised yesterday to have the best one yet - the Camarones Vera Cruz. The shrimp were great but the sweet chipotle sauce with fresh mushrooms and onions was really special. My wife doesn't like spicy stuff and she loved this meal. Don't miss out on the Camarones Vera Cruz. It was so good I forgot about my flan for desert! read more

A group of 22 of us descended on Lola's this evening. We asked if we could eat outside and the owners were happy to let us. They had to move some tables, do a little sweeping and then wipe the tables. They obviously went out of their way for us. The food was delicious and the serving size was perfect. The owners are friendly. I would definitely eat here again. read more

We stopped at Lola's after visiting Clifton Mill's lights! If you're hungry, after seeing the lights, definitely stop at Lola's. Carlos is a great host, the food is really very good and the service is too! The chips and salsa, the dinners and everything was fresh and delicious! When your finished eating try the fried ice cream, it's wonderful! You will be happy you stopped!! read more

Lola's is pretty good. The building is pretty old and run down - not a lot of seating. The food is decent, and the staff is very friendly. Probably wouldn't frequent this restaurant, but I would still go back. read more

Yummy food. If you like it hot, ask for extra sauces for the heat. They don't really advertise that. That said, if you don't like hot/spicy food, you can still order something delicious! Food is also good "to go", as well as in person dining. Take your Spanish class kids and let them order in Spanish! Staff is nice. Only downside is that the dining area is very open as a large square. So, when you go in, expect to be able to identify all the current customers if you are local. Ambiance is not great for an intimate dining experience. I would prefer higher backed booths that create more privacy, with booth positioning that would help with the same. Overall a great place that I will return to. The fried ice cream was superb! Stop here. Good good at good prices. read more

A visit to Lolas is always a treat! Stopped by today for lunch and had the fajita quesadilla. It was quite tasty but the star of the day was the guacamole. Everything here is authenticate Mexican so it always is fresh with lots of flavor. The service was excellent too. read more

This ranks as one of the best meals I've had at a Mexican restaurant. My husband got a burrito which he liked. I got the arroz con pollo and it was amazing! The salsa and queso is delicious. We got the churros for dessert and they were spectacular! We will most definitely be back! read more

Great hometown Mexican restaurant. Staff is great and food is really good. Price is reasonable.

Small place but great Mexican food! The service was good and we felt good patronizing a local owner instead of a chain. I had the special, red tacos. They were really good and not too spicy for my Ohio palate. There are a couple picnic tables outside also if you like to eat outside. We had six in our group and everyone enjoyed their meal. read more

Loved this place! The fajitas were one of the best we had ever had. They have very unique and authentic flavors, service was also great. Staff was friendly and we will definitly be back. read more

OH. MY. GOSH! The is the BEST Mexican food I have EVER had, seriously! I had a ground beef Chimichanga...it was huge and SOOO delicious! And ohhh, the beans...not your average refried beans; they say it's a secret family recipe passed down...well, "Gracias Abuela" - fantastic! read more

Their tacos were amazing. Excellent portion size, food right off the grill and the chips and salsa for the table was hot and yummy. Would 100% recommend! Come support this small Mexican restaurant! read more

Great service, the people are so kind and welcoming. There's free chips and salsa that are good but not extraordinary. The food was good, no huge complaints. I got the burrito supremo and it was pretty good, it kinda tasted like Taco Bell so that could be a good or bad thing depending on your tastes. Again, the workers were great and so kind. The restaurant is new but new and warmer lights would be a great change from the "classroom"-vibe lights. Would go back. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted warmly and the owner and server spent time talking with us and giving suggestions. the food was not the best, as the meat was a bit overcooked and under seasoned, but for the price and how fast they made the food it was hard to complain about it. when i went it was a little quiet on the inside and there were not many people. i would recommend if you want to get a bunch of friends together just to get something quick to eat and does not cost too much. read more

Very good Mexican. Good flavors and very attentive to service and food quality. Small place and not great atmosphere but don't let that stop you. Owner seemed like great guy and wants folks to enjoy their food and visit. If you like Mexican give it a try. read more

Excellent, authentic mexican food that is made with fresh ingredients. Can not recommend Lola's enough. For our family it is a weekly stop.

We had a wonderful meal at Lola's. The "Volcano" and Pollo con Sarod were out of this world. And the churros were the best we've ever had. The service was also top notch. I'f we are ever in Cedarville again, we will definitely eat here again. read more

Food: Absolutely Amazing Staff: Friendly, helpful, and kind I rarely eat at restaurants, but I keep coming back weekly to this place. Fajitas nachos is my recommendation with some jalapeños or freshly made "red sauce" for spice. Carlos, the owner, does a great job here. Family friendly, and stomach friendly read more
