Always enjoyed the Englewood location and had to try out the Springfield one. Atmosphere, ambiance, and decor is amazing and love the new items compared to other locations. This place pops!

We came to Viva as a backup plan, when our first-choice restaurant had a long line. We were hungry, it was close by, and it was margarita o'clock. This place surpassed expectations in every way. Service was friendly and professional. Chips and salsa were fresh and homemade. Food came out quickly. Entrees were beautifully plated, with plenty of veggies. Portions were big and prices very reasonable. The enchiladas made three meals! If I lived closer, I would eat here frequently.

Visiting the area with wife...work related event...and Mexican sounded good. Fun, seasonal atmosphere and great service. Wife wanted something not in menu and that was not an issue! Food arrived quick and hot! Both meals very tasty...and good portions for lunch! Next time...margarita!

Some locations manage to hold on to the same restaurant for AGES, while others have almost a revolving door of "here today, gone tomorrow" establishments, some of which you barely get to know before they're gone. This corner here in the "Field of Springs" may FINALLY have found a restaurant with some "staying power!!" I decided to try this new addition to Springfield's ever GROWING list of Mexican restaurants (I arrived in the early 2000's to not much more than Taco Bell (!!) or Chi-Chi's!!) during "Restaurant Week" here downtown. I had THINGS to do, so I broke one of my "rules" and ordered my meal to go. Is what it is.... I enjoyed checking out the restaurant's creative decor while I waited. Impressive amount of work went into getting the VIBE going here, I liked it, esp. the bar area. Reasonable pricing on the menu, quick and friendly "to-go" service, but I wasn't nearly as impressed by the "special" restaurant week menu item (chile relleno burrito) as I thought I would be. Yes, I do certainly KNOW it would have been better ordered to "stay" vs. to go, but I wasn't a fan of the ground beef version of the normally cheese-stuffed chile, and while it was far from BAD, I wouldn't choose it again. LOTS of other choices, though, so I'll be back for MAS, and so should you!! Buen provecho!!

Amazing service. Larger interior. Thoroughly designed decor. Extensive menu with above-average portions. Average prices for food quality and service. Full bar to include house margaritas. Street tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and other American Mexican staples. Free Chips and salsa. Causal dining experience. Parking on the street or in the parking garage.

Love it!! The ambiance is amazing!! The Mexican pizza is the best I've ever had...so good!! It's very family oriented and the service is top notch !

    This is Quesadilla.

Ordered quesadilla and got this. Idk. Maybe this is how they do it in Mexico. Nice atmosphere and nice bartender

Viva La Delicious. My son's birthday and he requested Viva La Fiesta. Located in downtown Springfield Ohio ( Which, BTW is really becoming a place to go for great food, free parking, and lots of places to hangout). I was honestly not excited about hitting another Mexican Restaurant. I find them to be pretty much all the same. The flavors and plating, no matter what state I'm in, there is little creativity to set one apart from the other. However, Viva broke that mold and is now my most favorite Mexican Restaurant in Ohio and second over all next to Sophia's of New Mexico in Albuquerque. The ambience was cool at the bar area. Great drawings throughout. The service was on point and the food and drink selections were abundant with dishes I'd never seen before. The plating was a step up from the norm. I went with the California Carnitas. It was beautiful and delicious from the slow roasting of the pork, the perfectly seasoned grilled jalapeño's and onion, and fresh vegetables. A big portion that led to a leftover lunch the next day. I don't normally eat leftover's but.... Anyway, just give it a try, and find your flavor. Oh and try the house made Tomatillo Salsa and Tamale. Scrumptious. Thanks spell check for that word.

This place is awesome. The service was great and we received our food quickly. The chicken nachos were hot and the chicken was tender. The presentation of the Chipotle wedge salad was beautiful and was delicious. The design and art work of the place is really unique and nice. I will definitely come here again.

Fantastic unique Mexican food that's unbelievably cheap! A fantastic sports bar. They even have a giant mural of Joe Burrow! Off the TV is including 120 inch 4 up screen.

Well, my bad - their website includes multiple accessible places to park in and around the village. That said, we got it, and decided to belly up to the bar for a better look at the offerings and the place in general. Matt O was our server. I started with a delicious Scottish Ale, and my companion had a glass of wine. Prices are reasonable. My companion ordered and raved about the Shepherd's Pie. I had Bangers & Mash - sausage (3 pieces) with imported horseradish mustard, mashed potatoes, gravy, delicious baked beans. It went perfectly with my pint! It was a warm afternoon so the glass garage doors were opened wide and folks were eating and drinking outside in the beer garden too. The vibe was loud, lively and very positive. Music was old school British Invasion '60s style. Good times seemed to be had by everyone. We finished with a locally produced Chocolate Rum Cake - it was rum forward and smooth, dark chocolatey! Highly recommended.

The atmosphere was charming, the décor was exactly what we were hoping for, and the menu felt genuinely true to British cuisine rather than a themed interpretation. Unfortunately, our visit took place on a colder day, and the large garage-style door connecting to the outdoor seating area was left open. As a result, the entire restaurant felt quite cold throughout our meal. Since we were dining with our infant son, this made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience and was our biggest disappointment of the evening. In fact, it was cold enough that we kept our coats on throughout dinner, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the atmosphere the restaurant had worked so hard to create. We also ordered the fish and chips. The quality of the fish was very good, and it was clearly prepared with care. However, the portion size left something to be desired. The meal included only one medium-sized piece of fish, which felt small for a dinner entrée, especially considering the price point. While the food itself was enjoyable, we were hoping for a more substantial serving. Despite these issues, The Last Queen delivered on atmosphere, authenticity, and food quality. I would be willing to give it another try, particularly during warmer weather, as I believe the temperature and comfort level had a significant impact on our overall experience.

Our server was very nice and personable throughout the meal. He did forget to bring silverware and napkins for the appetizers, so we had to ask for them, but otherwise the service was friendly. We started with the chips, salsa, and queso. The chips were fresh, crisp, and not overly salty. The salsa tasted fresh and homemade, and the queso had a nice kick that kept me coming back for more. I also tried the street corn. Unfortunately, this was my least favorite item. It tasted more like corn that had been poured straight from a can rather than fresh roasted street corn. The birria empanadas were good, with a crispy shell and flavorful filling. The sauce served with them was delicious. My only surprise was that I expected the cheese, onion, and cilantro to be inside the empanadas, but most of those toppings were served on the plate instead. For my entrée, I ordered the bowl with half chicken and half shrimp. The shrimp was the star of the dish. It had a nice crispy coating, was seasoned well, and had great flavor. The chicken was a little under-seasoned in comparison, but the portions were generous and they definitely didn't skimp on the protein. My dining companion ordered the California Burrito. The presentation was impressive, and it was definitely a substantial portion. However, we were surprised to find green beans inside, which wasn't something either of us expected in a California Burrito. Overall, the restaurant was clean, the portions were generous, and there were definitely some highlights. The fresh salsa, queso, shrimp, empanada sauce, and portion sizes stood out the most for me. While a couple of dishes missed the mark for my personal taste, I'd be willing to return and try some of the tacos or other menu items. Rating: 3.5/5

The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.
