Found out later she was part owner with her brothers and sisters of the restaurant. She was kind enough to take my granddaughter and I around the restaurant and explained the murals and ceiling art of how they told the story of their family and the special meanings behind the gorgeous art. As for the food, it was exceptional and very delicious. Also very reasonably priced. Everything was top notch here, down to the cleanliness of the restrooms . I highly recommend!

Our server was very nice and personable throughout the meal. He did forget to bring silverware and napkins for the appetizers, so we had to ask for them, but otherwise the service was friendly. We started with the chips, salsa, and queso. The chips were fresh, crisp, and not overly salty. The salsa tasted fresh and homemade, and the queso had a nice kick that kept me coming back for more. I also tried the street corn. Unfortunately, this was my least favorite item. It tasted more like corn that had been poured straight from a can rather than fresh roasted street corn. The birria empanadas were good, with a crispy shell and flavorful filling. The sauce served with them was delicious. My only surprise was that I expected the cheese, onion, and cilantro to be inside the empanadas, but most of those toppings were served on the plate instead. For my entrée, I ordered the bowl with half chicken and half shrimp. The shrimp was the star of the dish. It had a nice crispy coating, was seasoned well, and had great flavor. The chicken was a little under-seasoned in comparison, but the portions were generous and they definitely didn't skimp on the protein. My dining companion ordered the California Burrito. The presentation was impressive, and it was definitely a substantial portion. However, we were surprised to find green beans inside, which wasn't something either of us expected in a California Burrito. Overall, the restaurant was clean, the portions were generous, and there were definitely some highlights. The fresh salsa, queso, shrimp, empanada sauce, and portion sizes stood out the most for me. While a couple of dishes missed the mark for my personal taste, I'd be willing to return and try some of the tacos or other menu items. Rating: 3.5/5

Connie can make you one hell of a pizza and it taste delicious. The atmosphere is sports forward with high top tables, low tables, and plenty of bar space. As usual I sat drinking not bothering anyone. I had 2 ppl in this bar that didnt like me but I ignored them and minded my own business. As I was finishing up I had the bartender (not connie) come up to me and said that there were past issues between me and these ppl. I explained to her that there was but I already talk to connie about it and she said as long as I'm not bugging anyone I'd be fine to have drinks regardless of whose in there because shes trying to run a business. Bartender then told me I had to leave because ppl were outside talking about fighting me if I didnt leave and they were there first. I told bartender that's fine but I'd be speaking to connie again. Bartender then said that's fine that's my aunt so get out of here with that bullshit. Bad for business if I say so myself. The ones that shouldve been made to leave was the ones ready to fight.

Man-oh-man-oh man (and woman!!) Finally after years of wandering the globe (well, at least this…read morecorner of it, here in Ohioooooooooo!!) I've finally found the closest possible match to the comfy, cozy, worn to a fine shine "dive" bar to help (temporarily) return me to the days of my misspent "youth," when every place you went, whether across town or across the country wasn't a carbon copy of everywhere else!! We've walked right by this place sooooooooo many times, I'm not even sure how we finally decided to stop in the other night, but so glad we did!! We grabbed two seats at the bar, took in the WONDERFUL, formerly smoky haze of the place, admired the AUTHENTICALLY eclectic (no "pre-fab" charm here!!) displays, including an AMAZING collection of electric guitars, and were equally dazzled by the great music and the bartender who was just as awesome as her surroundings (maybe more so!!) The mister sampled a few of the bottled brews available (no taps here) and I had a couple of different ciders, all good!! We watched her put together some amazing cocktails as well, and finally couldn't resist, and tried one of her own, personal "specialties," (@#$*!!, I was having too good a time to remember the name!!) which was also wonderful!! We'll be back, to sample more this great spot has to offer, to check out their outside patio, and (for me, anyway) the chance to temporarily time-travel back to a simpler, more carefree/boozy time in my not-too distant past!!

When I ordered a drink for me and my friend, she completely ignored me. Her coworker in the back was also rude. Following people out of the bar when they are ACTIVELY trying to leave when you tell them to is completely unnecessary, especially when it's a grown man following young women out. Very unprofessional. If you go, make sure the "sheriff" isn't tending the bar.

I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.
