As usual I sat drinking not bothering anyone. I had 2 ppl in this bar that didnt like me but I ignored them and minded my own business. As I was finishing up I had the bartender (not connie) come up to me and said that there were past issues between me and these ppl. I explained to her that there was but I already talk to connie about it and she said as long as I'm not bugging anyone I'd be fine to have drinks regardless of whose in there because shes trying to run a business. Bartender then told me I had to leave because ppl were outside talking about fighting me if I didnt leave and they were there first. I told bartender that's fine but I'd be speaking to connie again. Bartender then said that's fine that's my aunt so get out of here with that bullshit. Bad for business if I say so myself. The ones that shouldve been made to leave was the ones ready to fight.

Our server was very nice and personable throughout the meal. He did forget to bring silverware and napkins for the appetizers, so we had to ask for them, but otherwise the service was friendly. We started with the chips, salsa, and queso. The chips were fresh, crisp, and not overly salty. The salsa tasted fresh and homemade, and the queso had a nice kick that kept me coming back for more. I also tried the street corn. Unfortunately, this was my least favorite item. It tasted more like corn that had been poured straight from a can rather than fresh roasted street corn. The birria empanadas were good, with a crispy shell and flavorful filling. The sauce served with them was delicious. My only surprise was that I expected the cheese, onion, and cilantro to be inside the empanadas, but most of those toppings were served on the plate instead. For my entrée, I ordered the bowl with half chicken and half shrimp. The shrimp was the star of the dish. It had a nice crispy coating, was seasoned well, and had great flavor. The chicken was a little under-seasoned in comparison, but the portions were generous and they definitely didn't skimp on the protein. My dining companion ordered the California Burrito. The presentation was impressive, and it was definitely a substantial portion. However, we were surprised to find green beans inside, which wasn't something either of us expected in a California Burrito. Overall, the restaurant was clean, the portions were generous, and there were definitely some highlights. The fresh salsa, queso, shrimp, empanada sauce, and portion sizes stood out the most for me. While a couple of dishes missed the mark for my personal taste, I'd be willing to return and try some of the tacos or other menu items. Rating: 3.5/5

Well, my bad - their website includes multiple accessible places to park in and around the village. That said, we got it, and decided to belly up to the bar for a better look at the offerings and the place in general. Matt O was our server. I started with a delicious Scottish Ale, and my companion had a glass of wine. Prices are reasonable. My companion ordered and raved about the Shepherd's Pie. I had Bangers & Mash - sausage (3 pieces) with imported horseradish mustard, mashed potatoes, gravy, delicious baked beans. It went perfectly with my pint! It was a warm afternoon so the glass garage doors were opened wide and folks were eating and drinking outside in the beer garden too. The vibe was loud, lively and very positive. Music was old school British Invasion '60s style. Good times seemed to be had by everyone. We finished with a locally produced Chocolate Rum Cake - it was rum forward and smooth, dark chocolatey! Highly recommended.

The atmosphere was charming, the décor was exactly what we were hoping for, and the menu felt genuinely true to British cuisine rather than a themed interpretation. Unfortunately, our visit took place on a colder day, and the large garage-style door connecting to the outdoor seating area was left open. As a result, the entire restaurant felt quite cold throughout our meal. Since we were dining with our infant son, this made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience and was our biggest disappointment of the evening. In fact, it was cold enough that we kept our coats on throughout dinner, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the atmosphere the restaurant had worked so hard to create. We also ordered the fish and chips. The quality of the fish was very good, and it was clearly prepared with care. However, the portion size left something to be desired. The meal included only one medium-sized piece of fish, which felt small for a dinner entrée, especially considering the price point. While the food itself was enjoyable, we were hoping for a more substantial serving. Despite these issues, The Last Queen delivered on atmosphere, authenticity, and food quality. I would be willing to give it another try, particularly during warmer weather, as I believe the temperature and comfort level had a significant impact on our overall experience.

I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.

But it had chicken, cheese, chorizo, lettuce and rice inside, a steak and a skewer of shrimp ontop, and mothered in cheese and salsa Verde(my fave)... It was ginormous, it was fantastic, and came on a platter the size of a boogie board. I struggled to cut it in half and have half left and a side of rice for tommorrow. Woot. 10/10 I got a tamale too, chicken not pork, the sauce was meh, I prefer a rich mole but the masa flavor and texture were great. 7/10, removed a point for chicken over pork and the sauce, decent but not the best I've had.
