Wife and I went to Krazy Taco 937 tonight with already high hopes because of its great online reviews. To say we were not disappointed is an understatement; we were stunned at how enjoyable the experience was. Everything.. EVERYTHING about this place is wonderful. Service was very attentive, friendly and helpful (and our waitress had only been working there 1 month.) The overall ambiance was stimulating and captivating. Stimulating because the music Powerhouse 60s hits from Ray Charles, Tom Jones, the Beatles and more was a *perfect* choice to enjoy yet not disrupt quiet conversation. Stimulating because the decor was so unique and interesting. And because just the vibe of everyone in there really enjoying themselves was palpable. What about the food you say? Every ingredient of all 4 different taco choices we made was wonderful; fresh, tasty and well prepared and presented. It's not very close to us but we are already excitedly figuring out when we can get back there - and I'm confident we are going to become regulars. It's a small place so going at peak meal hours might risk waiting. They have about 10 tables as well as another 8 or 10 stools at the bar. We did not drink so cannot review that aspect. We were told the place had come under new management in the last few months. As well as that place seemed to be functioning, we would never have guessed that. PS I didn't know until we ordered that they were giving free tacos to veterans, so that's a really cool mark on their patriotism and sense of community. Second time stopping here because I feel like when you're in Springfield it should be mandatory- it's just so good! Got a seat at the bar and ordered a NA mojito and it was delicious, and also at only $5 I appreciated the price- sometimes NA drinks are as much as the full alcohol kind. Great attentive service and friendly chats with the employees. I went with the nachos which were SOOO good. Nachos are one of mh favorite foods, so I know good nachos- especially loved the pickled onions and that there were tons of toppings. My friend got two tacos with beef- can't remember the exact kinds but he enjoyed them. Such a great spot and will be back. read more

We have not been in since the ownership change. It's still amazing, we had drinks and a couple of tacos, since the kitchen was still open when we decided to pop in after an evening movie around 9pm. Tacos are still amazing, staff was friendly. They are also roasting their own coffee and will have to get some to try. read more

Hard to believe but this place is better than ever before. They've added new tacos to the menu including many with brisket. On top of that they've added the "Texas Twinkie" which is a jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, deep fried then slathered in barbecue sauce. Great flavor profile hard to beat for sure. But the best new addition may be the cocktail bar and stepped up drink menu. Justin serves a wonderful multi ingredient jalapeño margarita, and other custom cocktails, add a solid draft beer selection along with 20+ bourbons and wide choice of tequila. Again loved it as Guerrero's even better in the current version. Additionally they've improved the service stepped up the dining area as well. Definitely worth a stop! read more

Please get an order management system!!! The food here is so good but we had an order of nachos that were supposed to be for a child's dinner and a round of drinks that never came out after multiple requests for them. Short staffed = slow but you can't keep using that excuse week after week. I can wait a while but "that happens sometimes" when we were done and still missing food and drinks is not acceptable. We told our primary waiter several times that things were missing and the main bar guy as well. Even getting the coke would have helped. The food is fantastic and the people are nice but this was such a disappointment this time. We have been here a few times and may check back in at some point but major fail today. Transparency: they gave us 25% off the food, but that isn't really the point. We love the food and want to come back if they can fix their system. read more

When we went, supposedly they had been slammed and working with a light staff (it would have been nice to know this when we sat down). I've never had to sit at a restaurant for a couple of tacos for 2 hours before Some of the things were priced pretty high, especially the smoked stuffed jalapeños. Someone I was with ordered a coffee and it was only warm not hot. She asked (reluctantly after her husband said to speak up) if someone could just microwave it. And I think it was the owner who really snarky told her that it was made at the perfect temperature and dismissed her... I literally could not believe what I heard. Someone else on the waitstaff helped her. The spicy margarita was the best marg I've ever had... but it was literally so incredibly tiny and full of ice.... And so expensive (for the size.. it was probably one of the pricier ones I've ever had.. even compared to some of the ones I've had in a big city). We tried this place because our Airbnb host recommended it. I ordered the grilled chicken hex wrap and the chicken was gross with pieces of dark meat. My fiancé ordered the brisket nachos which were lacking in meat. The elote wasn't bad though but small for $3.50. Portions were small for the nachos and brisket looked like steak. read more

I don't usually leave yelp reviews but we all had such a nice experience, I just feel I have to say something. First off, every single staff member was beyond friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming. The food was fresh, delicious, and a great deal for the price. I'm a little tough to please because I don't do too well with dairy or gluten. But corn tortillas hot off the grill were perfect and it was no problem for them to skip the cheese and cream on my taco. I don't remember what mine was called but it was marinated pulled chicken, bacon, lettuce and tomato and I asked them to put a little salsa verde on it and it was delicious. My 95 year old mom and my husband were both super happy with their Krazy Carnita tacos also on corn tortillas. The guacamole was so fresh there were still some chunks of avocado in there and fresh cilantro. I like my guac a little more limey than theirs but a bit of the green hot Cholula available right at my table made it perfect. Fresh is the most important thing when it comes to guac! For an added bonus, it was Saturday so Dead live tracks played in the background the whole time. Perfect stop for hungry travelers passing through. read more

Unfortunately, I believe I've been disappointed for the last time by this establishment. I've been a loyal patron of this location for years, through multiple ownership changes, but the new management has taken the restaurant in the wrong direction, and it hasn't improved. TL;DR: Consistently poor service, endless excuses, food is always late, and the menu has been gutted. This isn't the taco joint it once was. The tacos that remain are nowhere near the quality they were when Felix ran the place. Plus, there are extra charges for using a card and for takeout. They even expect you to tip while doing most of the work yourself. Now, if you care for the details... I've dined in twice and carried out twice, and each time has been lackluster. On my first visit, I brought three family members to try the new burgers. I don't mind pub-style ordering, but I was frustrated by having to place my own order, pay in advance, and then being charged an extra 3% for using a credit or debit card. To top it off, they asked for a tip before I even received my food. I tipped anyway, thinking we'd have some level of service. But I was wrong. Half of our order came out first, and we were called up to get the other half five minutes later. And yes, you have to stand in line to get your own refills. On my second visit, I was with my girlfriend and young niece. It was a similar experience, but this time I skipped the tip. Maybe that's why they seemed to forget my niece's order entirely, leaving us waiting an extra 15 minutes. You should never serve one person at the table and forget about the others. Our third visit was for takeout, right around the time they were promoting their app. I thought this would be perfect--why endure poor service when we live two blocks away? But now they charge extra for takeout on top of the 3% surcharge for non-cash payments. Our food wasn't ready on time and was cold by the time we got it. Worse, I had to wait 15 minutes in line just to pick it up because they didn't have separate lines for dine-in and takeout. The final straw came tonight. My girlfriend was craving their nachos and ordered them for my lunch break, well in advance for a 7:00 PM pickup. I have 30 minutes to get and eat my food, but at 7:15 PM, they still hadn't started the order. She ended up canceling it. While they were nice and credited us, it didn't matter. On a near 100-degree day, I was left eating chips from a vending machine because these new owners can't manage their business or employees. My last gripe is about the menu. They should stop calling themselves a taco place. They've gutted the great menu Felix built over the years and changed the recipes of what they kept. The tacos that remain are nowhere near the flavors they once had. The burgers and nachos are decent, I won't lie. But as good as they might be, they're not worth the terrible service and extra charges. I'm under no delusions this review will be taken seriously by the owners--when I complained about the delay with my niece's order, they listened but made no effort to correct it. The whole atmosphere reeks of laziness. I knew it would never be the same after the pandemic and when Father Time forced Felix out, but I held out hope that it would still be a decent place to visit from time to time but I was clearly mistaken. read more

Walked in thinking it was somewhere you order at a counter. We were immediately greeted and suggested to sit down and grab a menu. After sitting Aaron ran us down the entire menu in a way we knew exactly what we wanted when we are not taco advocates. It was the best experience I have ever had with any taco cuisine. An absolutely must try restaurant. I drove 1:20 round trip and believe me, it was worth it! I was working with Steve S. , and elite Yelper, this morning and we always talk about restaurants we've tried. We are both from the Dayton area, and he told me that a group of his friends carpool to Guerra's Krazy Taco because the food, atmosphere, and bar were such a unique and satisfying experience. So I drove all the way to Springfield to try it. The nice lady behind the bar helped me navigate the menu. As you can see in the picture, I ordered 4 different tacos: Felix's Favorite, Cheeseburger Taco, Slap Yo' Daddy, and the Pork Taco. So far, I've only consumed two of them as they are quite filling so I'm saving the other two for tomorrow. You can tell from the picture that the variety of very fresh ingredients is extensive. The flavors just explode. Each one of my tacos was a very unique experience. I found my self slowing down to savor the experience. I travel all over the country as a volunteer medical courier. I seek out one-of-a-kind restaurants in my travels. Guerra's Krazy Taco is now at the top of my list... and it is so close! read more

This place was great back with the original owners but the new management have slimmed down the menu and changed the overall experience. Don't get me wrong, the tacos were good but the menu has shrunk so some of their best tacos are no longer being served. It might be post covid issues but I sure wish it was like it used to be. We found this spot while passing through and were amazed to see soooo many vegan options. All the vegetarian tacos can be made vegan and they can sub Impossible for any of their beef tacos. I had the El Toro Rojo and the Green Machine and my husband had Felix's Favorite--their beans are also vegan. And the margarita was fab! The veggies were so fresh and the tacos were so inventive. Springfield has some krazy good tacos. After reading a bunch of positive reviews online, a crew of us (8 altogether) got together for a fantastic taco dinner. Upon arrival, we first struggled to find parking, but then we found a lot a half block down the street reserved for Guerra's guests. After parking, we walked in to meet our friends. We were initially overwhelmed with figuring out how to order, but their incredible staff at the counter joyfully popped out to explain the menu. We proceeded to order a wide range of tacos and apps, and then we sat back down in gleeful anticipation. Our food came quickly, and it didn't disappoint. We even got to chat with Felix Guerra, owner of the establishment! It is evident from his joy, and that of his staff, that the bright atmosphere is more than a convenient fusion of tacos and pop culture. This place is legit, and excellence emanates from the top down. For a legit platter of tacos served by exuberant staff in a festive environment, you've got to go to Guerra's! read more

Ambiance is great at Guerra's, cozy place with lotsa room, plenty of art on the walls and soft rock music from the 70s to listen to while enjoying the truly unique and delicious taco and nacho offerings! We had chicken quesadillas and Memphis Nasty Nachos .. the nachos were excellent with shredded pork, hot queso cheese, plenty of jalapeño slices, hot sauces, schiracha and other heating elements!
