I didn't think a quesadilla with grilled vegetables would be such a challenge for the staff. Clearly I was wrong...very wrong. The food is great but I am incredibly upset at having $44 in useless gift cards -- apparently there might be a location in Englewood that can take them. Hit or miss with this place the last couple of times. We've been regular customers since they opened and always had good food and service till lately. Biggest problem is ordering at the drive thru because you get someone who can barely speak English. We always order 2 bowls the same way. Mex rice, meat , pinto beans, ect. This time we got 2 bowls on a bed of watery pinto beans, no rice and very little meat, lettuce and cheese. Mostly a bowl of pinto bean soup. When we got home the bottom of the bag was full of a red liquid and the bottom cardboard bowl was soggy and soaked through. Plus the price went up from $18 something to $21. The wife couldn't eat hers because it tasted so salty. Hate to see another small business go under. Get someone on the intercom who can speak English so you can get the orders right. We understand the price of meat and such has gone way up. But why did you raise the price AND cut back on the meat portion? read more

I decided to do dinner tonight at La Fiesta Express. For starters, its very fast and very good! I was in and out in under 2 minutes! The place is set up much like Chipotle in that you go by the counter and select what you want. It was clean and Mexican music was playing in the background. I decided on a bola, grilled pollo, beans, guacamole, white rice, salsa verde, lettuce and the corn mix. It tasted great! I got it to go and they provided utensils as well. Price was acceptable. Tried this place out for the first time after driving by multiple times... The salsa and queso were good but the portion for the price you paid is horrible, also the chip tasted days old and most we were unable to eat! Ensure 41F or below at all times in cooler. Floor in kitchen areas mustbe regrouted between tiles where needed. Ensure no entrapment of food. Observed food (chicken in sauce) just placed in walk-in cooler to cool in large container. Manager had employee remove food and separate it into smaller batches and ice the food to cool faster. When cooling ensure 135F to 70F withing two hours and 135F to 41F withing six hours to limit bacterial growth. read more

You walk in and you get the vibe of Mexican music playing through speakers when you turn your head you see two grown men beating the crap out of each other on the TVs. You look at the menu it's simple but the food on the menu is perfect. My personal favorite is a chimichanga. Smothered in cheese refried beans Mexican rice and sour cream there's enough of it to stuff every orifice of your body. And it is not just quantity you get when you buy from the store to get quality. I have not had a bad order from this restaurant since opened up and I probably ate here at least once a week. Another reviewer complained that his fell apart but that's probably because they are so big that you really can't pick it up. I eat mine with a fork. I have always gotten the shredded chicken - and it's very moist and flavorful. I haven't tried any of the other menu items or meats. They have a card where if you buy 10 burritos you get one free.
